We used it as a legacy subscription since originally signing up to integrate with Quickbooks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Old software. No new development/features in many years. There are better alternatives

Sometimes when I use spring ahead on my mobile device, everything comes up very small. However, it is easy to zoom in and begin working that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about SpringAhead is that you are able to input your time card everyday and save without submitting it. At the end of the week, you have the option to submit all or choose the days you would like to submit for approval. You can view your pay summary and filter on the range dates you would like to view. The only thing I don't like about it is that you don't have to option to update your banking information or see an actual pay stub. The staffing agent would have to send that to you separately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The layout offers an easy 'at-a-glance' for all hours in a given week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My chief complaints are that it times out without notification and it doesn't copy over to the next week.

So if I keep it open while working on a project, when I return to enter time, it will let me, but I won't know until I hit [save] that it's actually timed out and all the time I just entered has not been recorded.

Week to week, it doesn't automatically copy over the Project Type and Task columns to the next week. The burden is on me to either recreate all 30 client projects each week. There is a 'copy previous' but that copies all the individual time entries as well. This makes it possible to skew your hours without realizing it by overlooking time that had been previously entered, but is not valid for the current week.

So, if I want to start a week with clean listing of my client projects and enter time fresh, I have to create a week with all zeroes, then copy that week for several weeks out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Spring Ahead makes it very simple from a user standpoint to enter time and expenses. As an administrator, it is easy to add projects and users by syncing to QuickBooks. From an accounting standpoint, it is easy to pull invoices out of Spring Ahead and approve time and expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do not like that Spring Ahead doesn't have an app or any way to simply upload receipts by snapping a photo. It would be much easier if you could add a photo of your reciept through an app rather than having to scan the reiciept and upload it to the computer then to Spring Ahead. If you have 50-100 reciepts or expenses in a month, it can become very cumbersome to individually enter line item expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
