I love using ElevenLabs for its seamless API that makes creating voices for my game really easy. It's really effortless to find the voices and sound effects I need, and I love the API use because it's just great and simple to use. The pricing is very reasonable too; for about $50 a month, I get a ton of tokens, which makes it a lot easier to do iterations without breaking the bank when the story changes or adjustments are needed. As a solo developer, using this has been a godsend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think just having more variety of voice over options would be helpful. It's been a bit hard to find more gameplay voices, like more characters and variety, which would be useful. Also, finding a way to be consistent with the voices would be great. Sometimes when I iterate on the voices, they come out either softer or a bit more irritated, and it would be nice to figure out how to make them more perfect and consistent each time. I also think having more sound effects and more voice actors would be beneficial. I'm looking for more characters for my game, like more fantastical female and male voices, either good or evil, and it's kinda hard to find some of those. It seems like a lot of the voices are more for advertisements than for character roles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
