I generally create a different header for use on the home page than for the other pages so this makes that process very simple. You just add select the conditions of where you want each Header or Footer displayed. Plus you can easily save sections of a page for ease of use on other pages - a real time saver. You can also edit the Header and Footer whilst in individual pages which saves navigating back and forth. The form builder is really easy to use, and integrates seamlessly with MailChimp (and others) without having to load additional plugins. This again helps with speed of the website. There are quite a few pro templates to choose from including pages, sections and blocks. Even if you don't use them, they are a great source of inspiration for design. Elementor is also a great option if you are building for a client who wants to self-manage their content updates, with a bit of training I find clients love it. **What do you dislike about Elementor?** The free version is limited, I quickly upgraded to pro which is a bit pricey in US$ as I am working in AUD$. **What problems is Elementor solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's the time saving factor that really helps get a build done a lot quicker. After trying a couple of options, I have decided to opt for Elementor, due to its ease of use, its practicality for building beautiful and effective pages, its integration with hundreds of additional features (although many of them are too expensive in my opinion), and the quality of its development, to mention the features that, in my opinion, make it stand out. **What do you dislike about Elementor?** What I really must mention that I don't like very much is not really a feature of Elementor itself, but rather the hundreds of integrations that exist to add capabilities to the page builder. What I don't like (about some of them) is the cost of these extensions. Sometimes, for seemingly no apparent reason you won't be able to upload a certain image into media. Another issue is that uploading self-hosted videos that aren't horizontal/rectangular requires workarounds or css changes. It's really easy to add different components to my pages in Wordpress, and customize them to make it look just the way I want. I was hesitant to build another site on Wordpress, but having done so with Elementor I'm glad that I did because it's not only easy, but creates pages that load quickly and properly on all kinds of devices. I'd also say pricing is a strength because Elementor is less expensive than competing platforms. This comes at the expense of module options, but can be good if you only need what the core program offers. **What do you dislike about Elementor?** The one criticism that I have is that it can be hard to figure out how to do certain things in Elementor. For example, when I first attempted to create a full-width object, the settings that I tried changing didn't do what I expected, and so I needed to google it and watch a video tutorial to figure it out. That said, this is something that is not an issue once you've learned where everything is. I also wish that more components would be included in Elementor's Core plan without needing to purchase additional add-ons. That said, Elementor's base pricing is lower than a lot of competing solutions which makes up for this. **Recommendations to others considering Elementor:** I highly recommend Elementor based on my experience with it so far. Pages are relatively easy to build, load correctly and quickly, and look really good. There's a good amount of customization and control offered by the tool. The pricing is fantastic sitting at anywhere from 50-65% of the price of competing products (at least the ones I've looked at). There are a variety of additional add-on components which you can purchase at additional cost, but it's highly possible that you won't need to go beyond the core functionality. The plugin is freemium to an extent, so you can download it to Wordpress before purchase and try it out. Of course you'll miss some of the best functionality like control over menu appearance until you upgrade, but it's a great way to give it a try at no cost. **What problems is Elementor solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm using Elementor to build a website for my wife who is a vocal artist. The website needs to look modern and artistic. It's crucial that the site load properly (no broken components) and quickly, which it does. It's also made it very quick to get pages up and running without needing to delve into the code. I was very please with this and highly recommend Elementor for that reason. ### 44.
