EHS Insight is a cloud-based Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management platform built for mid-market and enterprise organizations in high-risk industries including oil and gas, construction, chemicals, transportation and logistics, and manufacturing. **What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

I like how EHS Insight can track my incident reports, handle hazard and near miss reporting, manage SDS, and conduct monthly inspections. The launch was easy and well received.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

I found that their customer service help is lacking. A lot of times, we were told and promised that EHS Insight is very customizable, and we can do what we want on it. But we found that there's a lot of things that we weren't able to do. When we worked with our customer service rep about how to fix those issues, we were told no, and then eventually, we were told yes after some pushing. I didn't like that. Also, the initial setup wasn't that easy. It took a lot of back and forth with their customer service rep.

I use EHS Insight to track incident reports, manage hazard and near miss reporting, handle SDS management, and conduct monthly inspections.

**What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

EHS Insight gives us a single place to manage many of our safety and compliance processes while still allowing us to customize the system to fit how we operate. The ability to track training records, maintain employee information, automate workflows, and pull meaningful reports has been a big benefit. It has helped us improve organization, visibility, and overall efficiency.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

The training module could be improved by providing more robust compliance tracking. Currently, compliance is based on assigned training, which can make it difficult to identify missing requirements if training has not been assigned. Additional tools to automatically identify training gaps and required training would make the system more effective.

**What problems is EHS Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EHS Insight is helping us consolidate safety and compliance data into a single system. This has reduced manual tracking, improved visibility into training and employee records, and provided more consistent reporting across the organization. Having information in one place has improved efficiency and made it easier to manage our programs.

What I like best about EHS Insight is its user-friendly interface and centralized approach to safety management. The platform makes it easy to assign, track, and document employee training, helping ensure compliance while reducing administrative effort. I also appreciate the ability to access training records, incident reports, corrective actions, and safety documentation all in one place, which improves visibility and accountability across the organization. The reporting tools provide valuable insights that help identify trends and support continuous improvement in workplace safety.

While EHS Insight is a powerful platform, some features can take time to learn, especially for new users. Certain workflows require multiple steps to complete tasks, which can feel less intuitive than expected. Additionally, reporting and dashboard customization may have limitations depending on the organization’s needs, and occasional system updates can require users to adjust to changes in navigation or functionality

**What problems is EHS Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EHS Insight helps solve the challenge of managing safety, compliance, and employee training across the organization in a consistent and organized manner. Before using the platform, tracking training records, corrective actions, incidents, and compliance requirements often involved multiple spreadsheets, emails, and paper documents. EHS Insight centralizes this information, making it easier to monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure employees stay current on required training. This has improved efficiency, reduced administrative time, increased accountability, and provided greater confidence that our organization is meeting its safety and compliance objectives.

**What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

The user interface on the phone app is top notch.  It is easy for all of our employees to figure out and use regularly.  It is very intuitive and customizable, able to be used no matter where are staff are located. Even for employees that are not as technologically savvy, they have all been able to figure things out to complete trainings, inspections, observations and much more.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

Once you are up and running with the software, the support level is not as available as I would have hoped.  All support tickets must be submitted by email, which often takes a lot of time and articulation, when a phone call would be a lot easier, more in depth and efficient to address an issue.  EHS Insight offers this type of support, but it costs much more to access it.  Overall the support received is always great, but it does take some time on the users end to email/explain everything.

**What problems is EHS Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EHS Insight has helped our geographically spaced out employees receive training remotely in a seamless fashion.  It has also streamlined tracking of hazards, risks, training deadlines, notifications/reminders for CAPAs and countless other areas.  One area we did not anticipate user it was for vendor tracking, but it has also helped us keep track of vendor documents and trainings.

**What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

It’s easy to use and configure for our specific needs, and it’s versatile across different platforms and a wide range of devices. It also offers a robust selection of reports, along with the ability to create custom reports whenever we need them.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

The ability to communicate critical alerts via SMS is limited. The lack of a direct support line for urgent issues has also been a problem. Submitting tickets seems to be the only way to report issues, and that approach doesn’t work well when there’s a system outage.

**What problems is EHS Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EHS Insight allows us to track and manage our overall safety and environmental metrics, which has helped us quantify how improvements are affecting the business and identify where additional resources may be needed. The system has also enabled us to develop a consistent reporting structure for capturing key information, and it supports real-time analysis.

**What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

I like EHS Insight because it keeps all of my Safety Management tasks in one place, making them easy to access across multiple devices no matter where I am. I especially like the Dashboard, which lets me track all my KPIs and adjust or manipulate the data as needed.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

Training Management could be improved by adding a way to exempt specific individuals from training when selecting a business hierarchy. Also, the initial setup was a pain, with weekly meetings where we kept trying to explain how we needed it configured. It would have been much more beneficial to sit down with someone for a week and knock it all out at once, instead of stretching it out over multiple meetings.

Incident tracking by Classification, better tracking of data with many options for reports. Better monthly training tracking.

I like the customizations available in EHS Insight, which allow me to adjust the software to my company's needs. I can add backing lists, edit and create fields for all forms, and create roles to limit access. It was easy to set up EHS Insight if you didn't want to edit and customize forms, and there were a lot of initial options.

There are not all connected but I wish that you could link forms between modules.

EHS Insight helps with controlling document revisions and managing hazard reports and quality events. I can customize forms with fields, create roles to limit access, and use customizations to suit my company's needs.

**What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

What I like best about EHS Insight is that it provides a centralized platform for tracking safety incidents, investigations, and compliance requirements. It helps keep information organized and allows for better visibility into safety data and trends. I also appreciate the ability to customize fields and reporting, which allows the system to be tailored to our organization’s specific processes and operational needs. 

One of the things I appreciate most about EHS Insight is the support provided by their ticket team. They are very responsive and helpful when assisting with backend administrative questions or system configuration issues. Their team is willing to walk through solutions step by step, which makes it much easier to resolve issues and better understand how to manage the system effectively.

I really enjoy using the program and would highly recommend it to other customers. I also appreciate that they have a suggestions board where users can submit ideas — several of the suggestions I have posted have actually been implemented. I value that they listen to user feedback and are willing to integrate ideas into the system.

If I were to move to another role that required a safety management system, I would definitely choose EHS Insight. I even see potential in working for EHS Insight itself, as I believe the system has a lot of growth potential and continues to evolve in ways that benefit users.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

One challenge with EHS Insight is that certain areas of the system can take some time to load, which can slow down workflows when navigating between records or reports. Additionally, while the platform offers customization in several areas, there are some limitations with workflow customization. It would also be helpful to have more control over automated email notifications. Currently, the system generates a large number of emails, so having greater flexibility to customize email flows and notifications would improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary messaging. 

One area for improvement would be expanding support options, such as offering phone or video call assistance when working through backend administrative issues. While the ticket support team is helpful and responsive, having the ability to communicate in real time can make it easier to walk through more complex configurations or troubleshooting steps and resolve issues more efficiently. Although one option for phone and video support plan is currently available, it is fairly limited and can be costly. Offering more flexible support plans or service tiers with broader access to these options could better meet the needs of different organizations.

EHS Insight helps centralize our safety, incident, and compliance data in one system, which improves organization, visibility, and reporting. The platform provides a versatile and user-friendly solution that supports multiple departments, including Quality Assurance, Sustainability, EHS, and Operations, in managing compliance and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). By centralizing compliance tasks, audits, and workers’ compensation claims, the system enhances visibility across operational functions. This integrated approach enables operational leadership to better project financial forecasts, monitor performance trends, and drive measurable year-over-year improvements.

Operational leaders use the system daily for functions such as SOP creation, injury reporting, and other key operational activities across the platform. There are no significant concerns with the platform. If any barriers arise, EHS Insights provides an effective ticketing system that ensures timely support and resolution. One potential area for improvement would be to allow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation and review tasks to be assigned directly to individual users rather than by role. This enhancement could provide greater flexibility and accountability during the SOP development and review process.

There is no current issue that is being solved. When issues do arise, the ticketing process is more than affective as the assigned account managers and techs address the issue within 24 hours, if not sooner.

**What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

It is a very powerful tool that has taken our EHS program from paper and pencil to digital. The user interface is easy to use, setup is simple and guided, and reporting functions intuitive. I love that EHS Insight dashboard can show a graph and by clicking on a bar or pie chart piece, dive into the details for better analysis. We have even gone a step further outside of EHS Insight and run our customer service incidents through the program.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

I would like to see some of the regulatory record keeping modules improved for hourly or daily environmental readings we have to document. Other than that, our company continues to adapt more and more of our processes into EHS Insight.

EHS Insight has consolidated dozens of Excel sheets, binders, file cabinets, and procedure books into one central location that is easily accessible anywhere. It allows me, as a manger, to have greater access to records and perform data analysis to help guide improvements.

I like most about EHS Insight is how customizable it is. Rather than just an off the shelf solution, I'm able to customize it to make it feel more like something we built in-house.  Also, the support from the implementation team (Ryan and Dakota) has been fantastic!

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

*The out-of-the-box reporting could be improved. For example, incident reporting didn't include a section for witnesses, which it should. *SDS Managed Service needs to be more accessible.  SDS management is a real regulatory pain point that is critical for compliance with various agencies.

**What problems is EHS Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EHS Insight standardizes our safety solution across the entire organization with a user-friendly, accessible wherever/however/whenever you want.  Mobile app (iOS and Android), Desktop app and browser access.  Supports offline work as well.

Your feedback on reporting is well taken. The gap you flagged in incident reporting, like a dedicated section for witnesses, is the kind of out-of-the-box detail that should be there by default, and improving our standard reporting is part of the module work we have underway right now. I really like the tracking portion of EHS Insight, especially for incidents and audits and inspections. It's easy for us to go back in and review information and data, particularly with incident reporting. Everyone, including executives, has access to it, so if they need more information about a particular incident, it's all there with the details like photos and documentation. I think that's just great. It's the first time I've had the opportunity to use a platform that provides all that assistance in one place, which has been very beneficial for me. Also, I think the support is the best part. Anytime we need help, they assist us. They follow through all the way to the end, which has been very beneficial. The initial setup wasn't bad, and having the support team help us in the beginning was very beneficial.

Sometimes I get a little frustrated with the training portion where we have training logs and keep track of everybody's training. There's some instances where some trainings are assigned that don't necessarily need to be assigned and it's not clear on how to delete those. If there was a clear path of how we could delete trainings that aren't necessary or just to be able to delete them from a person's record, that could be a little better.

It's simple to set up because it was led by Lisa Serface, who was key in making the integration and implementation successful. I highly recommend EHS Insight, and I've already told several peers to look into it.

I like the customization, prompt customer service and self help tools.  The ability to add and remove modules on a subscription basis is great. EHS is always making improvements to the system as well. Customer service is prompt and they accept improvement recommendations from the community which is great. A couple of my ideas have been accepted and implemented which is great. They also help with workarounds to address things I need to be done in the system.

EHS Insight nags you to close our  tickets even when it's clear you are on vacation(away message). If they don't hear from you, they close i even if it's not done. A little less pressure when I am very busy as it is would be nice. It must be part of their KPIs, but other than that customer service is still excellent.

EHS Insight enabled our organization to bring all EHS application under one platform and provides access to all employees while allowing the safety team to manage the process and data.  The EHS Insight is adaptable and configurable to our specific needs without extra fees or significal IT support. Their customer support is always available and willing to colaborate and help.  The one stop shop for all things EHS in our company is saving us time, money, resources and improving our safey culture. It is requesntly used by all company employees.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

While very intuitive and easy to use for the end user as well as integrate into operations, it sometimes take time to configure the application for our individual and sometimes very specific needs.

**What problems is EHS Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had 6 different EHS and Risk applicaitons that were not connected, not sharing data and not available to the entire workforce.  EHS Insight solved this issue, we now have a one stop application for all things EHS and risk and have proveded access to all employees.

It is the most user-friendly system ever and makes life easy for EHS professionals. It's really easy for our techs to use.  The pre-built reports are extremely helpful for managers.  The mobile version is great too. I also love the help section.  It's a great tool to help me learn on my own time.

There's always room for improvement, but overall the system is great.  Perhaps moving faster on implementing suggestions? I do appreciate the voting feature.  I use that from time to time as others have already suggested a feature I want.  Seeing that is great.

Management across a vast geography, with multiple time zones, staff from multiple companies, staff from multiple levels (techs through Leadership), etc.  It's a tool that links us in a way that works.

There are several aspects I like the most.  One is the mobile app, which allows our supervisors and managers to record incidents on the plant floor.  Another is that all of the data is accessable in one location.

I would like to see pre-made forms available in the audit and inspection module.

Corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) are historically challenging to manage.  EHS Insight makes it easier to track the progress, and you can have it automatically escalate to another individual.

Most helpful is using EHS Insight as our integrated management system.  The modules allow excellent visibility and accountability to support critical elements in a management system program.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

One of the challenging things in using EHS Insight is understanding what steps need to be completed in some of the workflows.  Sometimes, the completion of workflow steps within some modules (i.e., Incident Event, CAPA) will overlap, which could be a bit confusing to a new user.

**What problems is EHS Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EHS Insight is helping our company establish one focal point to support our overall QHSE management system.  Users do not have to rely on multiple locations to support one activity.  The interconnectivity of the EHS modules allows users full traceability of management system activities.

**What do you like best about EHS Insight?**

The system is fairly intuitive and reasonably easy to setup on your own with the provided resources. Everything loads quickly and the mobile app never seems to have any problems.

**What do you dislike about EHS Insight?**

There were some pretty critical settings at the beginning of the setup which were easy to get wrong (and we did). Now those setup flaws are permanent features in the system. I think they should have had someone spent the 2-3 hours to sit down with us and made sure we knew what we were committing to; it just seems too critical.  

It's also important to note that specific modules are highly customizable and others inexplicably lack it. Some modules including Safety Drill feel like they are half completed projects (for example, you cannot track and run reports on who attended or missed drills).

They could also have provided better generic resources that could be sent out to company members to show them how to do something. YouTube or Knowledge Base support material to walk people through, say, filing an incident report for an injury. It would have saved me tens of hours of making my materials if they had this ready to go.

It provided us with an easy-to-use cloud platform for incident reporting, completing investigations, tracking CAPAs, and now for monthly facility inspections. Incident reporting has increased due to ease of access with account holders.

The ability to assign regulatory-based modular training that can be accessed in the office, in the field, and at home.  It gives the company and employees excellent options regarding the completion of training. A particular SOP or form was frequently needed in the field; the employee could access documents standing atop a roof in the middle of a city building 19-floors up.  EHS Insight has been an excellent platform for tracking the company's EHS program requirements.

The Training area is not the best.  Sometimes you can't get a change done because they I guess have not gotten enough requests.

It keeps our safety program stats and documents and helps us run our safety program.  Very good for that!  Helps me to be more productive.  Not sure that our business performance has improved from it but it does promote being able to run reports that do help with our safety program!
