Streamlined Cash Receipts and Bank Reconciliations. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Ieva G. | Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026 **What do you like best about Proclaim?** Cash Receipts and Bank Reconciliation Recording receipts against invoices is straightforward, and I can apply payments either partially or in full across multiple matters. The bank reconciliation tools are solid as well: I regularly import bank statements, match them to ledger entries, and work through any exceptions. Overall, this helps tighten cash control and cuts down the time I spend on reconciliations. I also run ageing reports to monitor overdue balances and identify collection priorities. These reports can be exported to Excel for further analysis or shared with the team for client discussions. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** Limited Reporting Flexibility: Proclaim offers standard reports, but customisation is pretty limited: Creating bespoke financial reports often requires exporting to Excel and tweaking. The report designer is less intuitive than modern BI tools available now, so tailoring reports to specific accounting needs can be very time consuming and you have to be familiar with SQL. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our processes were fragmented and time consuming. Time recording, billing, and client financial data were spread across different places, which increased the risk of errors and made it difficult to get a real-time view of aged debtors, WIP, and cash flow. Month end close involved significant manual reconciliation, and producing management reports meant exporting data and then reworking it in Excel. Tracking disbursements and ensuring accurate VAT treatment also required extra checks, which slowed down routine finance tasks. Proclaim has allowed our accounting processes to be more centralised and controlled. Time recording, billing, disbursements, and client balances are now managed within a single system, improving data accuracy, visibility, and overall oversight. ### 2. How it links to outlook so emails can be sent with ease. Shows you a task list so you can easily plan your day. Allow a law firm to work in a practically paperless environment which saves the company money and is good for the environment. Allows contact details for all correspondents to be saved on file for each individual case. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** The platform is not very aesthetically pleasing. It has running errors on occasions and crashes. The system can be hard to navigate and takes a lot of use before you become a compentent user. If the platform crashes it may case work to be lost and file to be frozen. This can be rectified but requires I.T help. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Craft your proclaim to suit your company. Hold regular work shops to get your employees opinion on how the system is operating, any improvements that can be made. Employ a proclaim programmer who can make the improvements a reallity. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** It provides ease of work and communication between the company and third party insurance companies. It allows offers for compensation and evidence to be uploaded to an online 'Portal' so both parties can share and view documents. It allows a task list to be made and customised by the user to allow them to plan their work for the day.
