I find ebuilder very hard to use. We are constantly setting up new processes, and forgetting to put someone on a project and they are not able to access

e-Builder is a decent overall platform, but it falls short in many areas. For example, their terminology throughout is unprofessional within the system. As a larger company, I expected more professional phrasing, but "Workflow in your court" is very unprofessional and very American-centered. e-Builder is an international company, so it seems like a baseline expectation to use less American sports language. You can 100% tell that e-Builder representatives get paid by how quickly they get you to sign off. They rush through testing and publish new items without clear communication. Also, most major software companies offer a testing/training environment. e-Builder does not have a training/testing environment and expects all training/testing to be completed in the production environment. In addition, when we raised questions about specific functions in the system not working, e-Builder responded that "nobody will use that function anyways." This was extremely unprofessional. If there is a part of the system that does not work, it should not be in the system, regardless of whether it is frequently used or not. When I used e-Builder, our management team had access to the highest levels of leadership at e-Builder, and they were very responsive to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ebuilder is overly simplified to be "easy to use" hoewever it looks over some important project management factors. The submittal module is easy to customize, and it is hard to manually override a mistake. I like the tabs on the top of the main page allows for easy flow between the different types of project management, helps to keep things organized.

The power of the document management system to keep my team members informed of submittal or drawing information that is pertinent to their expertise is very useful. I've set this up as a template so that previously setup folder subscriptions based on their respective areas are automatically configured. Some interfaces such as modifying member permissions are not very intuitive. After you have modified permissions and saved you'd expect it to return to a main screen such as the menu showing all members. However it stays on the same screen for the individual you've just modified and saved. You then hit "cancel" or "X" to close the box.
