Duro is a great lightweight, easy-to-use PLM tool.
I would highly recommend this tool to anyone as their first PLM to scale their engineering org.
- EE items, the MPN auto-match feature is great and is a huge time saver!
- Intergrations are included with the enterprise plan, with no hidden add-ons or 3rd party finger-pointing.
- Duro is fast to set up, and the interface is simple and user-friendly for quick team onboarding; if you're looking for TeamCenter, Arena, Windchill, etc level feature set, just get one of those tools and spend ~6 months setting up and training team members and 2-3x the license cost. Duro is an excellent fit for small to mid-scale teams, but it may not include all the bells and whistles of other tools. I would suggest researching the features you need and check with the Duro team, as new features are released often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My team and I have previously used 3DX and solidworks products, and while some form of PLM solution is needed, we always hated the clunky and unituitive interface of other product. After being fed up with 3DX, I came across duro and tried it out.
Duro still has all of the advanced features of existing solutions, but with a clean and logical interface that doesn't feel like a burden to use. Getting up and running was very fast and easy, with far better support resources than we have had with other solutions, although we found we didn't even need much help. Duro does what a PLM asystem should do, save time and reduce organizational burden so we can focus on actual engineering work. For a small team, the straightforward use and minimal time sink to set up was critical for us, but there are extensive features that ensure we won't have to change systems as we scale up. It's a newer product so there are still integrations and features under development, but I haven't found it lacking in any way yet.
I can only compare to the 3DX platform in which there were technically a lot more features, but half of them didn't make sense or didn't work. Everything on duro just works, with far fewer bugs than 3DX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use, good documentation, good experience when interacting with Duro team so far Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing we "dislike" so far about Duro. Is it more expensive than some alternatives (but I suspect it's also easier to set up and a little more user friendly) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Duro is its intuitive dashboard and user-friendly design. As someone who used a PLM system for the first time at a previous company, I found Duro incredibly approachable and easy to learn. It made the transition to using a PLM system seamless and gave me confidence in navigating the platform.
Additionally, I greatly appreciate the Duro team’s responsiveness and efficiency. They are quick to address tickets, provide effective solutions, and are an absolute pleasure to work with. Their support truly enhances the overall experience of using the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Duro are the occasional bugs that can make working with the system challenging at times. However, my experience has been that the Duro team is highly responsive and proactive in addressing these issues. They work efficiently to resolve bugs, which helps minimize disruptions and ensures a smoother overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of my favorite features about Duro is that it comes with a pretty complete part numbering scheme out of the box, so you don't have to make one yourself (for me, this was a key selling point as it significantly improved my implementation experience). I also like that you can have it pull in supplier data for some categories, making it a lot easier to get a complete record for a part done quickly and with minimal data entry. Duro is also a tool that can get you from 0 to productive with pretty minimal training. My interactions with the team at Duro for support questions has also been really smooth. I use Duro at least once a week as part of my design and document release process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some UI quirks that annoy me (not being able to open some items to a new window/tab with a right click). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, working with Duro has been a very pleasant experience, especially as compared to legacy, non-cloud PDM solutions. The ease of deployment and integration has been wonderful, and the product has worked as intended. There are many features which I have yet to explore.
Some Pros Include: -Easy deployment and integration has allowed for accelerated productivity from day 1, without a steep learning curve. -Duro's cloud-based service has been reliable and has required no maintenance or support, unlike legacy PDM solutions. -When technical has been needed, Duro has provided it quickly and effectively. Some Cons Include: -Occasional authentication issues with Onshape plugin. -The features that would distinguish Duro as a PLM product (as opposed to just PDM) do not seem existent/mature enough to me to merit their use. I would love to one day use Duro to manage builds, component inventories, etc. - it will be interesting to see how their product gets built out in the future. Duro streamlines two main functions called PLM and PDM. PLM is managing bills of materials, engineering change orders, and product hierarchy. PDM is managing CAD data between computers (basically internal engineers). Duro has an easy to use system that takes a few minutes to setup for integrating both PDM and PLM together and allows a small company like us to manage our engineering data professionally. This gives us a "sole source of truth", reduces the possibility for errors, and makes it easy for engineers to communicate and work together within the company. External suppliers and vendors also have an easy time working with us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Duro is a small startup, and therefore, not all of the bugs in the software are worked out. Things are still getting updated, and they roll out changes frequently. However, they are extremely responsive and friendly, and answer questions as they come up. They even put in a lot of engineering effort to make sure that the software works for you. We had a scenario where a new version of Solidworks (2024) had a bug in their PDM extension, this was promptly fixed by their engineering team within days of us pointing it out. Duro has streamlined our engineering work flows with its intuitive interface and ease of use. We considered other legacy softwares but what truly set them appart was their great customer support - responsive and knowledgeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No significant downsides so far, though we still need to finish up the integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support team at Duro is great to work with and are always quick to answer our questions when they come up as our team transitioned to their software. Overall the software is quick to learn and I have experienced very few software bugs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unfortunately there is currently limited import from vendor features on mechanical parts unlike electrical parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Duro has really simplified our BOM management. Gone are the days of spreadsheets, tedious and error prone manual entry and updating, and confusion. Now our design engineers can focus on the design work and let Duro take the handoff of fabrication data over to our Supply chain folks quickly and pain free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adopting Duro and incorperating it to our workflow was a challange up front. Our workflow didn't map to Duro's processes exactly and we've had to revamp our process to maximize our usage of Duro. Overall it's been a positive as our workflow is now better overall and we can move products from R&D to production much more quickly. My suggestion to others is to adopt Duro early in your buisness's development and avoid the pain of integrating later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Duro quickly allowed us to get a handle on our electronics Bill of Materials and understand the parts used across the full product bill of materials instead of just looking at a board or assembly level. The integrations to pull pricing information for electronics are also great for understanding costs quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The electronics pricing information that is pulled automatically lacks options to change part numbers after the fact and select specific distributors. The BOM export for electronics also is not quite setup in a way that matches what we would normally provide to our manufacturing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
