UXR recruiting, diary studies, user interviews.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Access to a research advisor, a very responsive and helpful team, a well-organized platform, transparent pricing, and flexible tools to suit unique needs

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Subscription-only pricing model, labor intensive, mobile app not available for researchers

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's an affordable way to conduct long-term user studies and beta programs. Outsourcing this work to a full-service agency would be cost-prohibitive for us as a startup.

  ### 6. Mostly does what it does pretty well

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Speed and media richness. It's shortened our research turnaround times by a large amount.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Features for analysis can be better. Tagging is messy, downloads don't always work, videos don't always fully upload.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting sentiment information about general mental health app issues, and specific feedback on features or content we would like to roll out.

  ### 7. dscout has enabled us to make informed product decisions!

Quick recruits and an easy-to-use interface that allows for all types of experiment designs and multi-method product research.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Sometimes scouts have difficulty uploading their unmoderated sessions to the platform.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

dscout solves our need to inform product teams and gather customer feedback instantly. They're also building express missions for desktop, woo!

  ### 8. Robust platform for video diary studies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

The best part about Dscout is the ability to create parts of your video survey, and manually release them after reviewing. They also have a robust panel in the US for participants.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

The cost is astronomical, too high for a small agency. It's also not an all-inclusive price, so you get charged for things like labor hours (at $225/hr), which you are required to use in order to run your surveys.

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

If you are running a simple video survey, try Vurvey. It's free and easy to use. If you are running a more complex study, dscout is the way to go.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't found another platform that will allow you to do mobile video diary studies as easily as Dscout. I love Vurvey for simple video studies, but with dscout, using parts and having people submit multiple videos or screen recordings for each question is a real benefit.

  ### 9. So many options!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyrone G. | Academic Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

I like that there are so many different studies available to choose from. Also there are so many different studies with various amounts of money. I also like that they pay you relatively quickly.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

I feel that you have to take a lot studies to be chosen for one or maybe two. I think there should be a higher rate of getting multiple studies. Also, you have submitted a video for each survey, I don't think that should be a pre-qualifier.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I believe that they are allowing people to have a voice and opinions that will benefit companies. This will enable them to create products that are going to accommodate the consumer.

  ### 10. My go-to platform for customer research and rapid prototype feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben G. | Design Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

The dScout Live platform offers automated transcription of all interviews- even better, it lets you create video clips simply by highlighting text, and even lets you edit them together into simple highlight reels that can be shared with colleagues. -This makes it incredibly easy to share out a short reel of customer clips at the end of each week of research.

Their diary platform is fantastic for contextual research, particularly in the age of COVID. I have used their missions platform to have customers walk through various tasks, complete missions at stores and provide instant feedback on their experience, and have even tested an end to end digital platform concept using nothing but inVision prototypes and the diary platform.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

After multiple missions, you are likely to see the same scouts applying over and over. For highly specific recruiting needs, you may need to recruit off-platform and then bring participants onto the dScout platform for interviews or diary missions. The Synthesis tools available on the platform itself are good for high level theming but we typically have to combine with a digital whiteboard such as Miro or mural for more advanced synthesis.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

dScout has helped my team recruit customers for empathy interviews or protoype feedback with a rapid turnaround and no time spent manually recruiting. It has saved us hundreds of hours editing iMovie clips of customer interviews and made it much faster to synthesize research.

  ### 11. Most user friendly and research team friendly tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrija V. | Market Insights Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

responsiveness & help from DScout team - in terms of helping you maximize your questionnaire and using the tool to its best extent to capture everything we need for a project. Easy to use tool that gets to the heart of what issues we are trying to uncover with our research. Very easy to program questionnaires & super fun too. Great way of going through everyones responses. Very easy and seamless to make a reel of a variety of scouts video responses. Also, very much appreciate the responsiveness of the scouts on the platform.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

2 minute limit on videos are difficult especially when we are using them for screen recordings to understand the user journey and experience with our app.

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

Easiest and most fun way to make questionnaires and go through participant responses!

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usability issues, product sentiment, exploring user journeys and interviewing users and new customers about our app and the app experience. Benefits of our research studies come from the gold mine of video responses. The video responses scouts give us are excellent in providing additional support to change something within our organization.

  ### 12. A great tool for qual research: high quality participants and a very supportive team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harriet S. | UX Research Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

- The quality of their panel is really strong, and the ability to review screener entries and pick respondents really helps lead to good insights
- The platform is very user-friendly and it's great to be able to utilize different research methodologies within 1 place
- The account team are very responsive and always give thoughtful expertise to any question
- Their articles and webinars are also great

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

I don't have any major issues with the platform, but a couple of improvements I'd love to see are:
- A bigger and broader panel as occasionally we have struggled to get our target audience
- More intelligent text analytics to help analysis of open-ended responses

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Understanding broader motivations
- Gaining insight into user experiences
- Capturing preferences and pain points of specific products, designs etc.

  ### 13. Critical tool for new product development success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina B. | Consumer Research Insights Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Video of real experiences, easy screening

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

I would like an online library of in-depth training videos that I could access at any time. My team has supported my platform learning during each new project, but sometimes I don't know what question to ask.

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

Definitely try dscout! We were able to do an individual project before adding the subscription version, which helped create buy-in with executive leadership when they saw the consumer experience videos. The honest opinions have been instrumental in our new product development. It's hard to argue with the people who really buy and use your products when they tell you what they need.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product viability, end-user experience/pain points/satisfaction, identifying persona groups for how consumers use our products

  ### 14. Great experience working with dscout

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Our team has had a great experience working with dscout! We shifted from almost entirely in-person research to entirely virtual research with dscout at the start of the pandemic. The dscout platform and team made the transition easy and we've been impressed with the success we've had conducting research virtually. Our dscout team is fun to work with and always willing to jump in to help us with creative problem solving or to help us reach tight deadlines. I really appreciate that they often ask us for our honest feedback and are continuously looking for ways to improve their platform and our working relationship.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

As we do more and more projects with dscout, we're hoping to see more respondents added to their database. I believe this is something the team is actively pursuing as the platform grows.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our dscout team has helped us brainstorm creative ways to recruit the specific type of respondents we're looking for on multiple projects.

  ### 15. dScout is by far the best UX research tool I have used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Live Mission feature has elevated UX researchers to run their sessions more efficiently - the automatic recording, video clips & transcription work very well together.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

No dislike so far, only am thinking to help dscout to go beyond what typically think their brand/products as diary study platform. They recent launched ranking question type is helpful - I am looking for more robust survey like question choices - these are also going to be helpful for diary studes as well.

The filtering/AI of the overall tools can be confusing at first.

Translation for non-ENG locals will be helpful.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qualitative research studies with a global perspective. During the pandemic, and we are doing all research remotely since March 2020, dScout allows me to collect and reach out to international participants efficiently that save me a lotmore time than traditional way of outsourcing the study to a vendor. I don't think will every going back to the old way - because I have dscout now!

  ### 16. Gain rich, contextual learnings - with support from the Dscout team along the way!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Dscout is an incredible tool for remote research, and has been especially valuable over the past year with limited in-person research. I've gained experience using three major tools on the platform: Recruit, Diary, and Live

Recruit: Simple tool for recruiting participants from Dscouts gen pop panel. One unique aspect of recruiting via Dscout is that you can add media responses (videos/images) that help you determine if a participant is a good fit for research. Helps eliminate a lot of my phone/secondary screening!

Diary: This has been especially helpful in gaining in-context understanding of our users via video and written prompts over the course of a few days. I usually use this tool as a "pre-study" before 1:1 interviews with participants. The videos all have transcripts, and it's easy to create "highlight reel" videos to share with my teams.

Live: This is video call tool, custom designed for a researcher! There's in-app chats with observers during the session, and easy "time-stamped" note-taking (which is incredibly helpful to go back and highlight user quotes after the session)!

There's a bit of a learning curve to get accustomed to the Dscout platform as a whole - however they have a "live chat" tool for quick and easy support. The Dscout team also provides incredible feedback on screener surveys, and checks in with you at key moments in the project. The team goes above and beyond to ensure you feel supported throughout the project, and are especially helpful for those using Dscout for the first time!

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

There's a few limitations around diary studies based on the structure of the Dscout platform itself - video submissions can only be 2 minutes long, you can only add 1 video and 1 photo per entry, etc. These are likely designed to make sure participants can successfully upload content without any hassle, but sometimes add complexity to the study planning and design.

Once I became familiar with some of these limitations and worked with the team at Dscout, I was able to find proper workarounds and still successfully launch my projects.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dscout is a tool that helps me complete research quickly, understand our users' experience with our product "in the wild," and quickly share this content with my team.

The tool is designed for researchers in mind - with easy scheduling and participant management tools.

  ### 17. In-depth Insights with an Intuitive Approach

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Speed: The short timeline to screen for participants and conduct an in-depth study is fantastic. We can typically set up and run a 40 question diary mission in one week

Participant diversity: I am always pleasantly surprised with the niche recruits I can find for our studies -- from hospital admins to drive-thru patrons. Hand-selecting your participants can be a bit time consuming but a worthwhile time investment that amplifies the quality of our findings

Easy-to-use platfrom: Dscout is extremely intuitive to navigate and set-up. I always say that anyone who uses a computer can figure out what to do in the first 5-minutes of being on Dscout. While having standard question options which makes set-up easy, it still allows for the customization we need in building questions and experiences

Team: Dscout's team is some of the best I've worked with in the vendor space. They are fast to respond, answer questions directly, and approach you as a partner vs. a customer.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

International reach: Right now, Dscout is perfect for recruits in the US and Canada, and parts of Europe. Would love for this to have a further reach -- we struggle when it comes to collecting a global perspetive.

Copy/paste set-up: Would love functionality to easily import your questions from a word doc or excel sheet. Today, it takes a lot of ctrl c + ctrl v from my question guide in word to get it off the ground

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the COVID environment, much of our ethnographic and customer research approaches have been shaken up. Dscout allows us to hear directly from individuals safely, and we can expand our geographic footprint by doing so virtually.

  ### 18. Great for doing research and being a research participant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomo S. | Senior UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

You can join and start earning money immediately! It's really easy to use, and most research projects you can participate in on this platform are interesting. The incentives are also pretty high compared to some other research projects.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Some of the surveys and diary studies are not necessarily designed by the right people. Instructions can be very vague or some questions asked seem rather irrelevant. The app can be a little bit buggy and the UI can use definitely some improvement. Videos you record get saved on your device so I have to delete a lot of them (I wish they could just save those videos on their cloud server instead).

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

Definitely consider using it, both as a researcher and participant. I heard about it from a UX researcher and started using it. The data collected from this can be definitely useful, especially when in-person research is not possible (like during the current covid-19 crisis). But as a researcher it's important to learn what it feels like to be on the other end of the research process. That's why I use it as a user and I can learn from all these different projects what methods can be useful

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

participating in interesting research programs, doing research on my own (diary studies with users, or "scouts" as they are called)

  ### 19. A useful and flexible platform with great support.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

The platform is great for running diary studies, and I love the flexibility to follow up with other research methods.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

In order for others to assist with analysis, they will also need dscout accounts. Exported data takes a little bit of cleanup, but not too bad.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used dscout to conduct multiple foundational studies, often focused on building a detailed understanding of current user behavior, pain points, and unmet needs.

  ### 20. dscout enables our company to get rich qualitative client input quickly and easily

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Intuitive platform, great online help and live analyst support, engaged panel members

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

We're not always able to reach some of our more targeted consumer groups.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

dscout has helped us bring in the client perspective to strategic and tactical decision making. It's helped our organization better understand our clients and prospective clients.

  ### 21. A partner that truly listens!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William S. | User Research Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

+ The usability of the product is fantastic. Any user can quickly get familiar with it and start running studies within a couple hours after account activation.
+ The dscout support team is stellar! They are always super responsive and very helpful when planning and managing a project. Great work ethics and deep knowledge in their fields.
+ I love the fact that many of my feedbacks as a user and client *have* been heard and ended up making it into the final product as improvements and new features. As a client, this is HUGE!
+ dscout is not just a tool... it's a service. And the way they connect all the pieces of their offerings enables me reduce process friction and focus on what matters to me: getting high quality snippets of lives of my users and target users.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Usability testing of mobile apps still requires some workarounds - to be fair, I know dscout is working on a solid solution for that problem ;)

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

At least when I first started, you could start using dscout on individual projects (without paying for the annual licence). It was great because the initial investment was fairly reasonable. Once I got excitement around what dscout could do, it was super easy to convince my leadership team to go with dscout!

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a team of one, I hired dscout about two years ago to help me virtually scale my research practice in my organization and so far it has far exceeded my expectations. With dscout I have been able to access users in situations that would have been hard for me to experience during in-person research (think parents preparing dinner for their kids or university students grabbing late night snack while working through their assignments). With these moments I'm able to let the users speak for themselves in my meetings. It's great to help my organization align around user needs and prioritize work based on the insights created through our dscout projects.

  ### 22. Great platform, excited to see how it evolves

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Torrey S. | project catalyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

dscout adds excitement to online research by creating a pleasant programming and analysis experience for the researcher while capitalizing on the fact that most participants are never without their smartphones nowadays.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

The platform currently needs to improve its international research capabilities, as we've run into difficult glitches across languages and a limited pool of participants to recruit from in countries outside the US. dscout Live is another tool that needs some work, as it currently requires a lot of bandwidth to host a video call and is consistently confusing for participants to log on and join calls.

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

I would say that this is a great tool for domestic research. It provides you with interesting participants, great feedback, and the dscout team is a pleasure to work with. However, international research or 1-on-1 video conferencing becomes clunky and frustrating to use, so if you are a company who primarily focuses on those forms of research, I would circle back to dscout in another year and see how they've grown since then.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

dscout has provided us with an easy platform to get rich video insights from our users, opening up the door for the projects we can now undertake. We've used the platform across all stages of our research—from short homework assignments to in-depth shopping trips to extensive ethnographic research. It has become our go-to digital research platform, letting us gather quick, interesting soundbites from our participants to dimensionalize any project we have on deck. We are looking forward to their international research capabilities being strengthened, as right now, it becomes difficult to conduct research globally, and we are also waiting for the dscout team to evolve their Live video conferencing tool, as it is still new and can be glitchy as a result. Overall, however, dscout has been a remarkably resourceful tool for our company.

  ### 23. dscout - best qual research tool for user research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Been using dscout for almost a year across a number of projects and truly is the most intuitive qual research tool I've used. Love that we can so quickly set up indepth interviews and online diary studies and it takes out a lot of the pain in managing research due to their new tools (e.g. automatic messaging of respondents, slack integration, video reel creation). Setting up and programming new research is a breeze. The learning curve is easy but the team are so approachable and always fast and helpful with questions if cannot find in their learning center. I don't like to think about research without dscout as it makes my life a breeze and gives us fun and insightful user input.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

It's not a dealbreaker but bringing our own customer sample into dscout isn't as easy as using their panel. It is definitely workable and we now get great response levels but it took learning to get there and over this hurdle. It is still a hurdle for us to get our customers to use dscout live and the connectivity work (hoping new updates will make this easier).

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

Jump in and test it out on a project. I did this in my previous company and then when I came on board here to look after user research I knew this was the right tool for us.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly getting the voice of the customer. Doing quick turn studies and running multiple in parallel. Video uploads and screen recordings is the real power of dscout. And also the way they make their research studies fun and engaging gets to deeper user insights.

  ### 24. Partnering with Dscout for Effective UX Research - Always Seamless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly M. | Sr. User Experience Researcher, Research, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Dscout offers a variety of services and levels of involvement so they're easy to work with no matter what I need. I can run the whole thing myself and just use their tools, or they can consult and do the initial set-up, or they can do a high-level report for me, or they can run the whole thing through their Studio. They're flexible and happy to adjust as needed.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Some parts of the tool are still a mystery to me. It does a lot, but it's not always obvious and I think I end up doing some things manually that I didn't need to.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dscout has worked with me to better understand the tool, and they're always happy to answer questions or walk me through something.

I've used Dscout for foundational work, understanding how people accomplish various goals and how a potential product might fit in.

  ### 25. The best diary study tool there is

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meagan M. | Product Researcher, Research, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

As a researcher, I'm constantly looking for the most effective and user-friendly tools for collecting accurate, illustrative, and in-the-moment data. dscout checks every box.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

dscout is always improving, which is great. There are currently some limitations in the survey tools that don't let us drill down as specifically as we need. And, sometimes scouts don't follow directions as perfectly as we could get using a moderated method, but it's the best option available when it comes to unmoderated methods.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The videos are invaluable for storytelling and communicating findings to stakeholders. The type of data we can collect using dscout is unparalleled in quality and innovation. We can create so much more buy-in with the video examples. Further, as a researcher the videos allow us to catch and watch moments that might otherwise be impossible to observe.

  ### 26. Effective platform and a great support team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

It's a great platform that meets participants where they are, ensuring relevant responses to mine through, and I've found participant response rate and content to be high quality on all the studies I've done.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

I am still trying to crack the best way to conduct deep synthesis on the content in a more tactile way - taking the data offline and processing it in group synthesis sessions. I'd like the ability to download and sort the transcribed video responses for easier synthesis.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really helps to launch research quickly and get it done without the logistical challenges of in-field research. In a place where time and budget are limited, this is crucial.

  ### 27. I love dscout!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

The capabilities of the platform are unlike any other - running diary studies is easy with this platform and if you are able to get help from researchers at dscout, even better! This platform allows you to understand an end to end journey and the amount of panelists they have that meet tricky criteria is great.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

The analysis tools are kind of difficult to use - but reading through the raw data is extremely easy. You can also only collect one video per study part which can sometimes be a frustration.

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

This tool comes at a cost per study on top of an annual fee but is extremely helpful when trying to understand a user's journey. If you are able to have dscout researchers aid you in coding/building each test I highly recommend it.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding complex end to end journies!

  ### 28. A must for all consumer insights teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mindy S. | Head of Research, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

dscout has become foundational to how our team conducts research. The platform is incredibly flexible and allows us to do everything from product testing to in-depth need-state based research. It has a wonderful UI and is incredibly easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

There is very little that I dislike about dscout. It is really successful at meeting the needs of what I use it for.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

dscout allows us to understand our consumers on a very human level. It removes many of the interview-bias barriers associated with ethnographic research and creates a forum that allows us access user-insights we otherwise might not have access to.

  ### 29. Great platform to virtually get user feedback!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Outsourcing/Offshoring | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

I like the ease of use of the product when compared to other "user testing" platforms. The web and mobile apps seem to be fairly cohesive, also helping in the use of the product.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

I don't like some of the admin controls. Reviewing what happens with all of the data collected by scouts can sometimes be confusing. However, I will say that it has been getting better... they recently revamped the site to make it easier to move scouts into custom groups.

**Recommendations to others considering Dscout:**

Dscout is a great platform if you're on the fence of which user testing platform to go with. The Dscout team will help you in a timely manner which can make all the difference when choosing a user testing platform.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to get product feedback from users without having to bring users and people into the office. Dscout serves as a great way to virtually get unique and real feedback from users and potential users. Dscout has provided a somewhat more affordable way to get user feedback for small-medium sized companies that don't have entire teams of user researchers and large budgets.

  ### 30. Good for journaling purposes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah P. | Performance Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

I like that it is easy to use and pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

I don’t like that you can’t easily see the questions while you are answering.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dscout is very useful for surveys and research studies about customer experience.

  ### 31. Super fun experience for the user

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mari F. | UX Research Operations Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

One thing that really impresses me about dscout is the fun and quality they put into what the person uses it experiences. I find that to be surprisingly rare in the field

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

As of yet I only used this tool for POC not real work, so I do not have any strong negative impressions. I will update this when we use it.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tried out dscout while I was looking at alternate ways to do diaries. Our Google Doc model seems a bit clunky.

  ### 32. get real feedback from real people

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

I like the way this has been changing the feedback experience. Influences the design of bleeding edge products that solve everyday problems.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Having said that its great tool, I have not use much but the way they recruit the customer it not clear to me. if someone wants to collaborate with likewise people don't know how to go about it

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Show off unique perspective by answering all kind of questions, it helps to get photos and videos to capture in-the-moment experience.

  ### 33. DScout Heavily Invests In the User Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

Everything about the platform is designed around providing the best experience to the participants of the project. Missions work on mobile, which allows people to give feedback on the go. Because it gives native experience, very easy to do what they coin as "in-context" research, where the scout is actually using your product in real time.

**What do you dislike about Dscout?**

Support for managing the research and insight generation costs extra.

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contextual research on mobile

  ### 34. easy to find people for missions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Dscout?**

User friendly, easy to use
Quick recruiting
Specify requirements screening in detail

There’s nothing I dislike about the tool

**What problems is Dscout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding people with specific recruiting requirements, demographics.
