It provides many signing tools within such as dropboxes, text boxes, signatures, email addresses, etc. The program also automatically sends nudges to signers after a designated amount of days to complete their signing. HelloSign was used to complete I-9's (US Work Authorization documents) within the Justworks portal for both the employee and employer. **What do you dislike about DropBox Sign API?** The only negative to HelloSign was that it occasionally lagged or did not load within the JustWorks platform. It was easy corrected with a refresh of the web portal. I'm not sure if it was an issue with HelloSign, JustWorks, or the API integration lagging between them. **Recommendations to others considering DropBox Sign API:** Compare the cost of HelloSign with Docusign, which is a similar product. **What problems is DropBox Sign API solving and how is that benefiting you?** HelloSign provides a verified way to obtain legally compliant signatures when in-person meetings can not happen (due to covid or travel constraints). It was awesome that we had an API rep assigned to us that was able to help us throughout our build. It would have been nice to know that there is an approval process before we were able to roll our API live but the process was seamless enough that it didn't add much to our timeline. Overall, It's more cost-effective than some of the other enterprise e-signature platforms. **What do you dislike about DropBox Sign API?** Again it would've been nice to know that there was an approval process upfront so that I could have worked that time into our timeline but the API team was quick to get us scheduled and clearly explained the approval process. **Recommendations to others considering DropBox Sign API:** Make sure your developers have as much time as possible with the documentation ahead of time… There were certain parameters that weren't in the documentation that we had to go to the support team for and knowing this information upfront would have helped reduce the scope creep. **What problems is DropBox Sign API solving and how is that benefiting you?** We built a custom contract signature into our enrollment process in order to fully automate our customer sign up from start to finish. **Official Response from Jessica Day:** > Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience, Cassidy. In the end it the solution cost our company $40/signature!!! When we tried to work with the sales management at HelloSign they refused to continue the discount that they offered us to begin with. The discount was the only thing that made it make sense to continue to use their API. **Recommendations to others considering DropBox Sign API:** Would recommend that you find a company that is more interested in earning your business. For us they disregarded 3 years of loyalty and refused to hear our business case. I asked them outright if they would prefer 0% of our contract (we leave) or if they would like to get us a discount that makes it worth it for us. **What problems is DropBox Sign API solving and how is that benefiting you?** For the 3 years we used them, they did help us save about 9 minutes per order form we generated. Which means they think their software is worth $266/hour to my company. My sales team understood that even though they make good money, we cannot afford to pay them that and we certainly aren't willing to pay that much to a software company to do the same job. ### 45.
