The richness of features and exploratory tools as they relate to the maps generated by drone flights. The annotated reports and the tools provided to make them have been incredibly helpful countless times in my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The increasingly steep cost of membership. Unfortunately, I believe this next year I won't be able to remain a user after 4 years with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have started my drone business and DroneDeploy has made the work flow super simple. I am able to generate flight plans and areas for the General Contractors to review.
They find value in the deliverables. RJ, my account manager, is the #1 reason why I don't look for other services. He is so quick to respond and get me squared away when issues arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Continuing missions. Specifically, the photo sequence. If I have to perform a battery swap mid photo sequence, the whole thing starts over. I find that frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use this almost daily for jobs and make it easy to use. Intergration with RTK and PPK built in to make ease of use. Anytime there has been an issue Tech support is quick and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to be able to overlay my survey points into the ortho map. Also would be nice to be able to control flight orientation for solar inspections. Then last would be nice to have some more automations for video and photos and panos. Thanks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
processing time, ease of use, efficient
has some features that are promising but still needs work (eg, stand counts are not accurate) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
glitchie software getting commands on mission flights; significant delays in confirming drone status...typically takes 8-10% of battery before it begins to actually run the mission and collect the data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Esri integration is cool. 3D mapping is cool. Volumetric measurements is cool. Tech support has been really helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have had to experiment with the flying heights to get the desired results, not any fault of the software. Sometimes slow in uploading, we are trying to process lots of data though. Haven't been able to use the flight planning tool as we are only in a trial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DroneDeploy allows my clients and I to collaborate real-time easily and without overcomplicated processes or concepts. My business depends on DroneDeploy's perseverance to give me the best product imagenable. And they do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A bit pricey, but that's my only complaint! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a full-time FAA Part 107 UAS Pilot, I fly drones daily in the Pacific Northwest for public safety purposes. Additionally, I own a drone photography business and often complete mapping and photography services in my off time. I have used many different mapping solutions in my role and DroneDeploy offers a solution that has been easy to integrate into our routine.
DroneDeploy offers a user friendly platform that allows you to preplan missions with ease from their main website or directly on the drone controller. The drone flies the automated flight path and does so with smart features such as picking the closest starting based on where you launch and automatically landing from that same spot. Their latest RTK feature has been unequivocally the best feature they could have added for small business owners who reside in states that RTK access is a membership and comes at a high cost if not using DroneDeploy.
I think where DroneDeploy separates itself from the competition is in the uploading and processing phase. You see, with most other mapping solutions, you have to purchase a "supercomputer" to process the massive data you just collected. Your gaming laptop won't cut it, unfortunately. The cost of these supercomputers can not only be high, but just like any technology, they have to be replaced and upgraded every few years. DroneDeploy offers cloud-based processing meaning that you just have to upload your mapping images and let the cloud-based processing take care of the rest. No supercomputers, no special software that has to be downloaded onto each computer.
Because DroneDeploy is cloud-based, our team can access each of the processed models via online access. Our team does not have to download software onto each of their computers and now we can better collaborate on the completed models to identify and review key parts for our public safety responsibilities. DroneDeploy has been implemented with ease into our team's daily function and we are beyond thrilled we have obtained this product.
DroneDeploy has amazing and quick customer support who respond when you have questions about their product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can only think of one thing that I hope can be improved. DroneDeploy is still a growing brand, but once more users realize the true capability of DroneDeploy, I hope this can help lower the annual cost for (returning) users. DroneDeploy's annual cost is certainly less than purchasing a supercomputer if you only plan to use their mapping solution on a short-term basis, but for small business owners like myself, I plan to use DroneDeploy for many years to come. This cost will certainly add up over time and I just hope that there will be cost savings for long-term users such as myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Integrated preflight checklists (removes paperwork on my end)
Ease of use - set up for flight mapping is as simple as circling and area and selecting auto settings.
Photo stitching is better than other software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support for new Mavic 3E controllers.
We had two weeks of support and updates before our new drone worked.
Upload time - it would be nice to have drone deploy linked with box or another file upload system so I could import them from there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's so easy to use! I work at a large open pit mining operation and Drone Deploy is an extremely valuable tool for 3D mapping our ever changing environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We cannot use Drone Deploy's RTK service due to our location nor can we use the planning portion of Drone Deploy when we use our own RTK unit.
The mobile app does not refresh well and I often have trouble in the field finding the projects that I had preplanned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
