We love using Dragonframe because of the onion skin features, fast playback, and live preview. It captures high-quality footage with an intuitive user interface. When you bump the set, you can use the difference feature which is very helpful. You can create very fluid motions that are almost life like with Dragonframe. I could be cool to see some frame blending features or more editing features/compositing. For instance, adding in some features that one would find in after effects would be very helpful. Exporting process could be a little more intuitive. I found that we were diving into folders to see the high-quality jpg we captured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the "Onion Skin" function, in which you can overlay a transparent version of your previous shot over the shot you are framing up next. This way, you can tell exactly where and how to move the objects you are using according to the stop-motion movements you plan to make. It is unbelievably helpful and so much more quick and accurate than having to test a shot, then flip back and forth to see if you moved your objects properly. The program can slow down sometimes if you are dealing with a lot of data— as any photo/video software can— and you have to be intentional with having a powerful enough computer to work with the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
