I myself have not had the need to contact Customer Service but others at my office have and expressed that it was a nice experience. They were treated like a person and things were explained so that they could understand.
It was easy to get started using DraftSight since it was similar to AutoCAD. This saves a lot of time from having to completely learn something new. The layout is simple and easy to use. I am a clinging-on DraftSight Standard user but even without the additional features of Professional I do find the software very capable and generally a pleasure to use. Particularly after dabbling with less serious cheap/free CAD alternatives in the past. I came to DS from AutoCAD LT doing mainly HVAC layouts and sections. Having learned a fair bit of the AutoCAD command-line syntax I really appreciated the highly transferrable skills when moving to DraftSight. This also means that if I ever have to move back to ACAD (at a future workplace) I will still remember a lot of the ACAD commands, having practised them in DS. It keeps one more flexible.

At times I have had a few crashes but then again I am often running DraftSight on a fairly modest business laptop with onboard Intel Graphics, which may cause stability problems.

I guess what I like best is the cost. I started out when it was free and i still believe now we get the best bang for our buck. Whatever I had to do using the competitor I was always able to do with DraftSight at a fraction of the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
