Using Dozuki for Standard Work **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Plastics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2020 **What do you like best about Dozuki?** I like the intuitive design - easy to navigate I like the supporting resources and help topics - very thorough and helpful for a new user Dozuki will be most helpful for the creation of standard work instructions that are streamlined and easy for anyone to follow. **What do you dislike about Dozuki?** I wish there was room for more than 3 photos per step. Also i understand its for simplicity, but i wish there could be room for more bullet points per step. Some steps in our workflow have several "substeps" or key points that would be helpful if nested together instead of split apart due to bullet limitations. **What problems is Dozuki solving and how is that benefiting you?** So far we are realizing the ability to capture random snippets of information/tribal knowledge and pool it together to form best practices. From those best practices we are utilizing Dozuki to help break the job down into the simplest steps, so that we can document what we should be doing -ensuring our processes are completed the right way, the same way, EVERY time. We plan on eventually using dozuki for training and development across our entire organization - from manufacturing, to HR, to the office. ### 2. If something is unclear or a product is flawed the team handling the materials can photograph and comment to immediately notify the designers and purchasing. **What do you dislike about Dozuki?** I do not like the app, I find it to be extremely difficult for operators to use and it adds a layer to consider when writing instructions that I don't feel is worth the investment. **What problems is Dozuki solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are providing consistent training and not relying on communal memory to get our products assembled correctly. Engineers are seeing problems with manufacturing they didn't know were there and production teams are getting updated instructions in real time. ### 3. So easy to upload the photo's. Also super nice to connect the statement/instruction to the picture with the color dot's. **What do you dislike about Dozuki?** I haven't found anything to make me not enjoy creating SOP's. **Recommendations to others considering Dozuki:** Consider Dozuki. It is so easy to use and makes creating SOP's enjoyable. It is a task I wasn't excited about until they introduced Dozuki at work. I was still skeptical until I actually used it and it changed the way I feel about this task. **What problems is Dozuki solving and how is that benefiting you?** A job I had dreaded and avoided has now become so easy with Dozuki. It has made my work day easier and I actually look forward to creating. ### 5. We are able to create SOP’s in the needed areas and not duplicate creation. ### 7. The limit on pictures and bullets per step helps keep the work instructions simple. **What do you dislike about Dozuki?** Work instructions are limited to a single build per pass through. If you build multiple items it is difficult to record multiple serial numbers. In the data capture sections. **What problems is Dozuki solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had many issues with revision control of our Work Instructions. We also had issues where our work instructions were not clear and concise while not being easy to create. Dozuki has saved us a lot of time in Work Instruction creation as well as reduced build errors. ### 8. We have been able to successfully integrate our ISO manual, company announcements, varying job tasks, data capture, forms, safety data sheets (SDS), almost any suggestion that was brought to us. Before Dozuki, we created work instructions on paper, and the paper often was lost on someone's desk. Dozuki has allowed us to go paperless with guides that can be created and approved within 24 hours. The approval process is much faster and robust. What I absolutely love the best about Dozuki is the customer service. Every person that we interacted with were genuinely happy and helpful. We have asked many a question, had interactive training sessions, and everyone is a star. **What do you dislike about Dozuki?** We have not found anything yet about Dozuki that we didn't like. There were features that we asked if they could be changed, and the answer is sometimes, "yes/no, but..." One of the better examples is if we could change the text color from all black to sometimes red. The answer at that time was yes, but that specific word would always be red. BAD = red color always. There never were any deal breakers for us to walk away from trying or implementing Dozuki. **Recommendations to others considering Dozuki:** We tried other documentation control formats, and most of the companies gave us power point presentations on how to use their interactive software. Dozuki's presentation was the actual software. We were able to interact with the presenter, create a guide, and ask questions. It was so much better than staring at another slide show of someone saying "this is interactive." **What problems is Dozuki solving and how is that benefiting you?** What brought us to Dozuki first was that our document control system & work instructions were not evolving to help the operator perform job duties accurately and repeatably. The benefits so far - we are able to go paperless, "real time" guide creation and approval with data capture, everything that is listed in the above statements.
