What do you dislike about DottedSign?

1.System Instability

I started using DottedSign in September 2024, but within just three months, the app began crashing severely. When I reported the issue to DottedSign’s technical team, they claimed the problem was due to my device. However, I was using a brand-new iPad 9, and all 20 iPad 9s I used encountered the same crash issue—even my iPhone 14 Plus also experienced frequent crashes.

It took nearly half a year for this issue to be resolved. I reported the crash in December 2024, but it wasn't fixed until May 2025. Isn’t that far too long for an issue affecting basic usability?

The temporary solution offered by the technical team was to use the web version. While it worked fine until March 2025, the web version started crashing seriously again from April onwards. That meant between April and May, both the app and the web version were unusable, which severely impacted my work.

Even more frustrating was the response from the technical team: they said they couldn’t identify the root cause and once again blamed the iPad, suggesting that I switch to a different device.

Honestly, isn’t it ridiculous to blame a system bug on the user's device, especially when the same issue occurred across multiple iPads and even on an iPhone?

2.Price Increase

I currently manage 11 DottedSign accounts and have completed over 5,000 signing tasks to date. The original annual fee was a manageable NT$59,400, but under the new pricing plan, I’m being charged over NT$200,000. Isn’t that an excessive increase?

Let me be very clear:

We will renew only one more time under the original plan.

If the new pricing is applied to us after that, we will immediately terminate our cooperation until a fixed annual fee plan is reinstated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christy Huang of DottedSign

Hi 哲緯,

Thank you for being a long-term user of DottedSign and taking the time to share your feedback. We have re-visited our investigations, and we hope the below response is useful.

1. Regarding the app and web version crash issues:

We understand how frustrating it must have been to experience repeated crashes, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our technical team made every effort to investigate this issue thoroughly. However, as the crash scenario could not be reproduced on our end—despite testing on multiple devices—and due to the lack of task IDs or screen recordings, it was extremely challenging to pinpoint the root cause. In such cases, we did our best to offer workable alternatives, such as suggesting the use of a different device to ensure continuity of your signing tasks. We regret that this temporary solution did not meet your expectations and appreciate your patience during the troubleshooting process.

Following this incident, we are eager to solve the issue if more detailed information is provided, which will be really helpful.

2. Regarding the pricing adjustment:

The new pricing structure was introduced to serve our users’ eSignature needs in a more flexible way while ensuring we sustain the high-level quality of service. We have gone the extra mile to unlock the limit of our paid features including the number of members, templates, and access to APIs. Special discounts are offered to our existing users to make their switch smooth and more importantly, easier on their budget. We look forward to hearing from you if you wish to continue with us.

Once again, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve your team. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss your renewal in more detail, our team is always here to help.

Warm regards,

Christy from DottedSign
