It can seem expensive for some our sites that we monitor. However, it's miles ahead of free alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Domotz is easy to install and use. It offers a well-structured user interface and everything you need to monitor your network. The integration with a lot of hardware like Ubiquiti is an additional advantage. Also, you can remotely connect to your devices from everywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I could not find anything I disliked about Domotz. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was easy to Setup and Test it on Synologs Nas (top Free Trial),
Apps are also available for mobile devices (Android / iOS and more ) for Notifications and Daily Reports on network activity- Extremely comprehensive
Domotz tells me almost instantly if any of my devices are no longer on the network. I've identified failed/failing devices, access point dead spots, and wiring issues. Also have Full visibility on all my NAS Devices, VM’s, smart plugs, IP cameras, and more, without installing any agents on the clients.
Domotz has an amicable interface and guided me through all the necessary steps. Browsing (Scanning) the entire network is straightforward and creating monitors and alarms is super-guided.
Domotz offers fast and good support; with all technical or sales questions, I was always well-helped! 10/10 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing, Domotz offers all the necessary functions for monitoring a network and all attached devices! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have the Domotz app installed on iOS and get notifications when parts of my infrastructure down. They come through within seconds, so I often know about issues before my users report them. Root cause analysis is simple using the device list in the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The monitoring dashboards are only available on the Domotz Desktop and web apps. I can see the reason for this though - this type of detail is best suited for a bigger screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The network map, which is an excellent feature for both remote and on site jobs. Another userful feature is the ability to monitor the devices and create custom alerts on ticketing systems, email, telegram and much more. It is very customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Desktop app is a bit laggy when you manage many devices, and that's why I use mostly the web version.
One thing that could do better, is when a switch or network device is not fully supported. It could be noticed in a clearer way in my opinion. At the moment I try to update firmware and settings, but a clear advice would be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Domotz helps me keep high-level health and status of all my customer networks and network-connected devices. I appreciate being able to mark some devices as important, which will notify me of issues when they occur so that I can react faster. This coupled with the regular update/improvement schedule, integrations that work with my RMM/PSA tools, and webinars showing me how to use their tool better, has made my business operate more smoothly. I wish there were more official, potentially paid training or certifications on the advanced features. There are some behind-the-scenes tools and scriptable capabilities that my team could better use if they did not have to learn from the grassroots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Domotz is an amazing product. I began using it when I had a small consulting business and it was really useful to provide monitoring for devices and to see how many devices are on the network. The remote access was also very useful for quick fixes and reboots of routers and other devices.
But where it came into its own was when we were having a dispute with our ISP with regards to our ongoing connection speed. The sped test had been running for multiple years at the site that we were having an issue with degraded performance. I took the speed graphs and you could see a major step down in overall speed after a specific date. Our ISP said that there was no issue and no change in our speed. When we presented the graphed data where you could clearly see the step down in performance over a period of time, even with individual ups and downs. Once they saw this an investigation was performed and our speed was restored. Domotz paid for itself for a number of months just from this issue being solved. I dont really have any negatives. I did find that the network security did not work as I expected but I am fairly sure that this was my fault for not spending enough time on it. I have added the ubiquity integration to the dashboard but do not find this to be a significant benefit, but is not a negative either, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VPN connection with no other software or open ports required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The high cost of licensing can be a deterrent for some residential sites who do not find value in the whole feature set. Maybe an extremely low cost residential plan could be added for basic network device monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Domotz has a very friendly user-interface, it has a web-app and a mobile-app, both offering support for dark mode. It recognizes new devices immediately with sending a push notification to the mobile devices, so that in case of an unauthorized access the necessary steps can be taken. I am using the platform since 2016 and since then it has been continuously being enhanced with new features. Domotz also has a lot of integration into Microsoft Teams, Slack, Wehbooks, Telegram and many others. Even Node-Red has a compoment for Domotz. The Domotz agent can run on multiple platforms like Synology, Qnap, Raspberry Pi, Microsoft or you can simply use the Domotz Box as a hardware appliance. Next to the device list with lots of information being gathered automatically upon device recognition, a network topology is shown, the network performance is constantly measured and there is a wide variety of customs and default alerts that can be defined, next to a lot of different reports, that are available. Also the support does a really good job with precise and fast responses. So Domotz is the best tool, that can be used for all kind of different network monitoring.
