What do you like best about Document360?

Document360 integrates with a variety of tools that our company already uses, which made it stand out as a choice for us while we assessed new tools.

While it does integrate with many tools, some of the integrations are not as robust as we would like. There are some things we would like to customize or have more control over in our integrations, but Document360 does not grant that level of control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have a fairly large volume of help articles that need managing with a small team. Our previous solutions did not allow us to grow our documentation at a scale that we needed. However, Document360 makes it easy for us to connect with other tools we use in our tech stack as well as manage many articles whenever terms or names need changing. What do you like best about Document360?

Doc360 is a platform that you can figure out quickly and have a help center site up and running quickly. Their support team is very responsive and their account representatives are always willing to lend a helping hand.

Creating articles is very easy and you do not need to know how to code at all. However, if you do then you can further customize your site as much as you would like.

The most appealing aspect is they are constantly working on new features and listening to their community based on their feedback on a regular cadence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Document360?

-The page format is set in one format with a table of contents on the right and the categories on the left. Adjusting these requires specific custom coding.

-Changes to the custom code don't automatically save and require you to manually do it each time

-Searching within the custom code isn't possible

-Hard to find where a broken link is on a page

-They are implementing a Block Editor that is a blend of the Markdown and custom editor that makes it easier to write articles.

What do you like best about Document360?

We have been using Document360 for some time to communicate all important information about our software ELAINE to our customers. ELAINE is the rapidly deployable and extremely flexible realtime marketing automation platform that empowers corporate marketing teams to create valuable customer relationships through highly customised and automated emails and mobile messages. In addition, we also offer a variety of other features and services, so we were looking for a knowledge base platform that would support large amounts of content.

Docs360 makes it easy to structure large amounts of content into folders and pages while offering options to differentiate between multiple reader types that have different access rights. The knowledge base can also be private, public or a mix of both to suit all internal and external access requirements.

The article editor covers all basic functions you need for editing in the UI. With the new editor, a lot of previous issues with formatting have been improved and become more intuitive. Source code editing is also supported, however we do not use this much.

Multi language knowledge bases are available.

Different types of status can be assigned to articles. In addition to new, draft, published you can also add if a translation is needed or has been done. The same goes for reviews of articles.

All user accounts can set up reminders to review articles to keep everything up to date.

Readers can give feedback for every article which can be managed through the feedback manager. When using one shared reader login for multiple people, it can be difficult to distinguish who the feedback came from and to communicate updates back to them but this would be an option if every reader has their own credentials.

Overall, Docs360 has a big variety of features to cover pretty much anything you may need for a knowledge base. There are some minor issues here and there, but the support team is always very open for feedback and can help out with any arising issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Document360?

Editing is still a bit buggy sometimes.

Review reminders have to be set in the content tools section to assign them to a specific user. It is not possible to do this directly in the article.

The automatic translation feature often has issues and does not translate the article. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Document360 team is always available to help with queries, and their continuous development pipeline makes sure that they're addressing real user needs. The tool is very flexible, but still easy to use as a writer and collaborator. From the end users' perspective, the system offers a clean, professional-looking manual that's nice to interact with. What do you dislike about Document360?

Document360 is evolving rapidly so I'm sure they'll keep addressing any issues. One of the features that's been requested a lot is a built-in spell checker, which would be very useful. I find that the system settings are a bit scattered and not categorized in an intuitive way, but maybe that's because I don't use it that often. I also find the WYSIWYG editor to be a challenge, but it seems that this is being addressed with the new Block Editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Document360 allows our organization to easily develop a knowledge base for the applications that we build in-house. This benefits us by making sure we documentation on our IP, which we can keep up to date in a ver yagile way. We've always been able to share parts of our knowledge base with our clients, which has given us the opportunity to share information with them and for them to self-service knowledge when using our systems.
