It streamlines our sales requirements by connecting directly within our Salesforce environment to allow our team to access our pre-signature documents. Docomotion is reasonably priced compared to other tools in our Tech Stack, which is always a benefit when locating an application that fits what you need from a budget and functionality perspective. The auto-field population can be a little tricky when we get into complex requests, but for the most part, we are pleased with what we receive. Docomotion is very user-friendly. Using a Microsoft Word environment to configure the templates makes it very easy for users to manage templates. It is a WYSIWYG editor that uses 'drag and drop' to add new fields or components. Fields can easily be tweaked, and it is nice to have the ability to add some custom code for each component. Furthermore, they have support for the online signing of documents. The signed document can be saved directly in Salesforce. Another helpful feature is the ability to capture feedback from our customers. By embedding editable fields in the template, the customer can adapt/fill out those and send them back to our Salesforce environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Although it uses a WYSIWYG, it sometimes does not represent the final layout (especially when using the template for emails). The editor and the visual representation of the fields/components make it look like an ancient tool. It would be better to allow direct HTML editing. One of the most loved features by our users is the ability to automatically generate a perfectly formatted document, which is then attached and sent by email to a client using a pre-defined email template. The email and generated document are automatically logged and visible within Salesforce against the relevant object. It's quick, easy and works every time! It's hard to be critical of the system overall. Having used Docomotion for several years, there is yet to be a challenge it has not been capable of addressing. Initially, I found the Data Models complicated to use, but the online help and tireless support from the Docomotion team soon helped me develop my knowledge. Docomotion is super flexible - works with all automations including flows, apex triggers, apex classes and is really easy to configure. You can build data models without any special training and the only thing you need to create a template is a basic MS word expertise - you edit documents templates directly in Docomotion designer which is connected to MS word.

They also have a great option to mass generate documents from list views and reports - we use it a lot to send mass communication to our customers e.g. changes in terms and conditions, energy surcharges etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Docomotion has the ability to create pretty much any document needed. The document can be as complex or simple as desired.

The ability to have complex show / hide logic allows for documents to be built with business context information, although care should be taken as the more complex the docuement is the harder it will be to maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Docomotion is only able to generate one document at a time. An improvement would be the ability to create a 'suit' of documents.

Also, it is only possible to filter what documents the user can generate by one field / metric i.e. 'Legal entity'. A user would only want to be shown documents that 'should' be generated on this record, for example in insurance, this would be Legal entity & Product & Market, this would only be possible by creating a complicated matrix and using a formula field to work out the correct value. As a manager of a Salesforce development team that uses docomotion, I need a document generation solution that works reliably, and it's also important we can get access to relevant resources to allow us to complete our work with minimum disruption.

To this end, the document generation features of docomotion work really well. Design your datamodel, design your form and generate the document(s).

The provided documentation and videos on how Docomotion works, and how to use it (and API documentation as well) is well presented, and easy to follow.

The document designer follows a logical process and is intuitive to use.
