DNSSense Overview

What is DNSSense?

DNSSense DNSEye is a sophisticated cybersecurity solution that uses AI to inspect outbound DNS traffic for anomalies indicating malicious DNS queries from any device, user, or application. With no need for agents or topology changes, it is easy to deploy and offers protection against both known and concealed threats. DNSEye integrates DNS, EDR, and xDR platforms to provide valuable insights into traffic activity and unveil hidden attack vectors and compromised users. DNSEye's early detection of unusual DNS requests offers crucial protection against zero-day attacks, thereby enhancing network security. By cross-referencing its findings with existing cybersecurity measures, DNSEye uncovers any overlooked threats, reinforcing the security layer and demonstrating its added value to your cybersecurity stack. When used with SIEM appliances, DNSEye serves as an intelligent filter for your DNS traffic, highlighting only the records that warrant attention. This feature enables SOC teams to manage large volumes of DNS traffic data without incurring additional licencing costs. DNSEye is compatible with various DNS server brands and can be deployed swiftly, even in large enterprise networks. This rapid deployment, coupled with significant savings on DNS log-related expenses, maximises the return on SIEM investments and makes DNSEye a valuable addition to any organisation's cybersecurity toolkit.

What do you like best about DNSSense?

It is very effective and user-friendly. Integration is pain free. You can see it’s working with security gap report, at least it gives a peace of mind that you have additional protection. We are using with DNSDome as well. They are a great couple together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DNSSense?

There are not much things that I don’t like. Maybe the virtual hardware demand is a bit high. Might not be suitable for small networks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DNSSense solving and how is that benefiting you?

DNSEye saves us time and resources. Beside protection, it pinpoints the source of the malware. SIEM integration is very helpful. You can send DNS traffic data to SIEM for free. You can expect to see a DNS tunnel attack being blocked and an alert to SIEM has been created along with the source of the malicious activity, simultaneously. What do you like best about DNSSense?

We used Cisco Umbrella before, but this product didn't give us the necessary visibility. Thanks to DNSEye, we can get much more advanced reports. We evaluated DNSEye between Infoblox and chose it quickly when we saw the dashboard quality and capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DNSSense?

Normally the support team helps us if we need anything, but a documentation system might be better. Instead of live support, the number of documents or video content may increase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DNSSense solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had a DNS security product before but were not satisfied enough. At the beginning of this was the complexity of the reports and the inability to catch what it said it was seeing. We noticed inconsistent things. DNSEye is a product that does everything it says. We made a very fast deployment process and started using it in our organisation within two days. It offers us a priceless benefit in addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DNSSense?

I've got to say, DNSEye is like the Sherlock Holmes of DNS security. It's super easy to use, but don't let that fool you - it's got some serious power under the hood. It's always on the job, giving us the lowdown on our network traffic and sniffing out any sketchy stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DNSSense?

Well, nothing's perfect, right? I think DNSEye could play nicer with cloud support. But I get it, Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm sure the folks at DNSEye are on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DNSSense solving and how is that benefiting you?

DNSEye has imroved our security in our cyber defence hierarchy. Our trouble shoot process has been improved. Also our productivity and performance imroved since we start using DNSeye. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DNSSense?

We're thrilled with our Roksit SIEM integration. It's cost-effective and has allowed us to effectively analyze our DNS traffic, saving us a significant amount compared to other solutions. Deploying Roksit was a breeze and it provides valuable insights through its security gap report feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DNSSense?

I can’t think much about the things I dislike about the company or the product. I think Roksit is in the right direction especially with their support team. Only thing I can say is I wish there is a night mode option in the portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DNSSense solving and how is that benefiting you?

Roksit helped us to get more visibility in our network. Before it was a great challenge to pinpoint an infected device we found from the DNS logs. With Roksit it takes a moment to find the infected machines. SIEM integration also allowed us to analyse DNS traffic with almost no extra EPS. It feels good to know that our DNS traffic is also protected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
