DISCO is a powerful tool that has allowed our firm to streamline and reduce manual labor associated with document reivew, trial preparation and deposition annotations. Two of my favorite DISCO features are the exhibit sets and the timelines. With the exhibit sets, you can build your exhibit sets for depositions, arbitration, trial, etc. This tool allows you to order your exhibits as you would like them presented and generates an index along with the exhibits themselves, making exhibit lists quick and easy. Timelines allow you to create case timelines and link directly to supporting documents in the eDiscovery database, allowing a case team real time access to important facts and events. Another thing that really stands out with DISCO is their continuous development of new features and tools. Client feedback and feature suggestions are taken very seriously and drive platform development. DISCO involves its users in the development, testing and roll out of new features. There are sometimes inaccuracies with billing so each invoice should be reviewed prior to approval for payment. Additionally communication between the billing department and the client could be improved upon. I do think that DISCO is working on this by assigning clients a Client Success Manager who can serve as a bridge and assist clients with resolving any issues. DISCO is also one of the more expensive eDiscovery vendors on the market, but the offerings are so robust, that it is worth the cost in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is quite intuitive, and customizable. Standard document review is effortless, and individual users-- if authorized- are able to easily create their own systems for organization/annotation. Reports are simple to compile. Exhibit sets are a breeze. Productions and production templates are also very user-friendly. The customer support is attentive, collaborative, and knowledgeable. DISCO is not cheap, which makes it difficult for our contingency-based practice. That is all I can say- my prior dislikes have, over the years, been well-addressed by the various improvements to the platform, and it now meets or exceeds our expectations across the board. The most important feature of DISCO to me is how user friendly it is. With having past experience with other platforms, DISCO is so much easier to navigate and learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issues I have had with DISCO are inputting load files for certain document productions. However, DISCO University does offer some assistance in guiding users through load file ingestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
DISCO is very user-friendly. With a small amount of training, you can get started on your project and the Help topics are very helpful if you cannot figure something out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

User's manual could be improved to helop those with no database experience to conduct searches. I have advanced education in Information Technology as well as many many years of experience in the field and thought the manual was a bit rigid for a nontechnical person. Unlike older, clunkier platforms, DISCO is user-friendly, attractive, and very straightforward to use. I fell in love with it immediately. It is so simple to run your own searches, filter documents, and view review metrics that I rarely need to request that a vendor assist with these tasks, as I can instantly complete them myself. I have not found any downsides to using the DISCO platform, after having used it on multiple matters. However, DISCO's project managament team is sometimes error-prone and I would reccomend that they focus on QCing results before providing them to attorney teams. DISCO is a straightforward, easy-to-use platform that often has clients reviewing documents within mere hours of sending native collections. It has built-in predictive coding and artificial intelligence tools available out of the box, enabling users to make valuable insights fast within the documents. Clients also benefit from the predictable pricing structure based on ingested volume. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've encountered challenges when clients have required custom workflows in their databases. For example, many emerging data types can only be processed by DISCO's professional services team. While they are excellent to work with, it is an added cost to the client which can in turn make DISCO less appealing when compared to the competition, especially if the client is cost-conscious. As such, we often utilize competitors' document review platforms when complex workflows are involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
