What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

DISCO is a powerful tool that has allowed our firm to streamline and reduce manual labor associated with document reivew, trial preparation and deposition annotations. Two of my favorite DISCO features are the exhibit sets and the timelines. With the exhibit sets, you can build your exhibit sets for depositions, arbitration, trial, etc. This tool allows you to order your exhibits as you would like them presented and generates an index along with the exhibits themselves, making exhibit lists quick and easy. Timelines allow you to create case timelines and link directly to supporting documents in the eDiscovery database, allowing a case team real time access to important facts and events. Another thing that really stands out with DISCO is their continuous development of new features and tools. Client feedback and feature suggestions are taken very seriously and drive platform development. DISCO involves its users in the development, testing and roll out of new features. What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

There are sometimes inaccuracies with billing so each invoice should be reviewed prior to approval for payment. Additionally communication between the billing department and the client could be improved upon. I do think that DISCO is working on this by assigning clients a Client Success Manager who can serve as a bridge and assist clients with resolving any issues. DISCO is also one of the more expensive eDiscovery vendors on the market, but the offerings are so robust, that it is worth the cost in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

DISCO is streamling our document reivew through the use of targeted searches and AI. DISCO is also streamlining the annotation of depositions through the use of Case Builder, allowing us to tag, annotate and create video clips for use at trial without the need of multiple different tools. What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

It is quite intuitive, and customizable. Standard document review is effortless, and individual users-- if authorized- are able to easily create their own systems for organization/annotation. Reports are simple to compile. Exhibit sets are a breeze. Productions and production templates are also very user-friendly. The customer support is attentive, collaborative, and knowledgeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

DISCO is not cheap, which makes it difficult for our contingency-based practice. That is all I can say- my prior dislikes have, over the years, been well-addressed by the various improvements to the platform, and it now meets or exceeds our expectations across the board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

There is no way that a practice with 2 attorneys, one paralegal, 3 assistants and assorted co-counsel from other firms would be able to effectively review, analyse, and produce databases of over 1 million documents without a tool like DISCO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most important feature of DISCO to me is how user friendly it is. With having past experience with other platforms, DISCO is so much easier to navigate and learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

The only issues I have had with DISCO are inputting load files for certain document productions. However, DISCO University does offer some assistance in guiding users through load file ingestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

DISCO is solving the problem of large scale document review, search, and organization. Prior to that, there wasn't much of a solution when it came to larger scale cases with a large volume of documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

DISCO is a well designed and developed system utilized to perform complex searches for legal discoveries. It coveres wide range of document type including but not limitted to inductry standard types of electronic records, scanned records, and images. It is fast and accurate and can process tens of millions of records while searching for complex search criterias. It contains functionality to perform markups and shares within a team of searchers. It entails an advanced database that is impressively fast, reliable, and accurate. Allows for creating a structure for search results to match your legal strategy. User's manual could be improved to helop those with no database experience to conduct searches. I have advanced education in Information Technology as well as many many years of experience in the field and thought the manual was a bit rigid for a nontechnical person. What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

Unlike older, clunkier platforms, DISCO is user-friendly, attractive, and very straightforward to use. I fell in love with it immediately. It is so simple to run your own searches, filter documents, and view review metrics that I rarely need to request that a vendor assist with these tasks, as I can instantly complete them myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

I have not found any downsides to using the DISCO platform, after having used it on multiple matters. However, DISCO's project managament team is sometimes error-prone and I would reccomend that they focus on QCing results before providing them to attorney teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

As noted above, I am able to complete tasks faster, more independently (i.e., without relying on the vendor), with greater ease and with less frustration. This has created time and cost efficiencies. I also just genuinely enjoy using the platform more, which is important when spending long hours each day using it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Caroline Hall of DISCO eDiscovery

Hi, Oh my goodness reading your review made me so happy! Thank you thank you thank you for review. We LOVE hearing that we are having a positive impact on your work and your quality of life.

You may already know this, DISCO was founded by a litigation team fed up and frustrated with the then-existing clunky tech and feeling held-hostage having to rely on vendors. They felt strongly there could be a better way, so they decided to build something better, easier, that offered more control, and was more enjoyable to the user -- so your feedback really resonates with us. Seriously, so great to hear!

Thank you for taking the time to share your story and feelings with us.

Gratefully,

Your DISCO Team, written by Caroline Hall, Client Advocacy Manager

What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

DISCO is a straightforward, easy-to-use platform that often has clients reviewing documents within mere hours of sending native collections. It has built-in predictive coding and artificial intelligence tools available out of the box, enabling users to make valuable insights fast within the documents. Clients also benefit from the predictable pricing structure based on ingested volume. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

We've encountered challenges when clients have required custom workflows in their databases. For example, many emerging data types can only be processed by DISCO's professional services team. While they are excellent to work with, it is an added cost to the client which can in turn make DISCO less appealing when compared to the competition, especially if the client is cost-conscious. As such, we often utilize competitors' document review platforms when complex workflows are involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helping E-Discovery averse clients understand the benefits of E-Discovery review paltforms. Clients in turn become more productive and provide subsequen matters for us to put into DISCO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
