What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

Disco provides a clear picture when it comes to billing. There are no hidden costs. What you see is what you get. In the event that additional costs do arise, the Disco team seeks authorization prior to performing any task that may incur said additional cost.

Additionally, Disco offers phenomenal support during more complicated discovery projects. The availability of "office hours" is a remarkable feature, which I had to resort to many times and will continue doing so in the future. Likewise, Disco University is a helpful tool. Disco University provides access to many easy-to-follow video guides ranging from teaching users the basics to how to use the basics to perform more advanced tasks. Disco offers a one-hour training session to help familiarize the office with the Disco software, which I found quite enlightening.

The software itself is easy to use and easy to get used to. Furthermore, the AI embedded in the Disco software provides additional assistance to fulfill discovery goals. With some practice, the AI can reduce the man hours required for document review and productions, especially those productions with a substantial amount of privileged communications.

I know that Disco has my back throughout all steps of the discovery process, whether it is ingesting documents, scheduling and performing data collections, or troubleshooting issues. Disco is simply the way to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

Certain features can be enhanced. In particular, the manage folder section. The limitation on creating subfolders is irritating at times. Likewise, there should be a feature that allows you to folder family documents without exiting the document itself, the same way that you can apply tags to the entire family or use the family window to select certain documents to apply tags to.

Also, if you use the filter tab on the left to select a main folder with multiple subfolders, Disco recognizes that the user wants to see all documents within the subfolders. However, if you use the search builder and apply searches to the main folder, Disco yields 0 results because no documents are stored in the main folder itself. Is it possible to do a "group folder" field of sorts or something that allows the search builder to recognize that although the main folder doesn't have documents, it contains subfolders that do?

Additionally, Disco users would benefit from a "Saved Searches" tab in the menu bar. As is, the saved searches option is very helpful, but it does end up getting messy, and trying to navigate the saved searches from the search bar becomes tedious at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reducing the amount of time it takes to search for a specific document. It provides a space to store all of the documents and peace of mind knowing that those documents will not be inadvertently deleted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

(Original )Information
What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

I use Disco almost daily. I like the user Interface, customizable tagging options, and that making productions is a breeze. Ingesting native or load-file documents on your own is also very easy, and the improvements to word clustering and visualization have added value to the product. Early case assessment has been added, which is also an improvement over prior versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

The cost is sort of high for certain clients to withstand, and the 30-day cancellation period is less than ideal, but I understand the company is willing to work with special pricing on a case-by-case basis upon discussion. It would also be nice to have the ability for individual users to highlight search terms globally across documents they are reviewing, but just show the highlighted terms to the individual user, not all users. Recommendations to others considering DISCO eDiscovery:

It's a good choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

Document collection, production, and review; hot doc identification; and exhibit tracking. It takes less time to accomplish all of these tasks with Disco. De-duplication and threading allows us to review fewer documents, and we get to the relevant emails quickly when we leverage AI predictions and word clustering. What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

DISCO is a powerful tool that has allowed our firm to streamline and reduce manual labor associated with document reivew, trial preparation and deposition annotations. Two of my favorite DISCO features are the exhibit sets and the timelines. With the exhibit sets, you can build your exhibit sets for depositions, arbitration, trial, etc. This tool allows you to order your exhibits as you would like them presented and generates an index along with the exhibits themselves, making exhibit lists quick and easy. Timelines allow you to create case timelines and link directly to supporting documents in the eDiscovery database, allowing a case team real time access to important facts and events. Another thing that really stands out with DISCO is their continuous development of new features and tools. Client feedback and feature suggestions are taken very seriously and drive platform development. DISCO involves its users in the development, testing and roll out of new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

There are sometimes inaccuracies with billing so each invoice should be reviewed prior to approval for payment. Additionally communication between the billing department and the client could be improved upon. I do think that DISCO is working on this by assigning clients a Client Success Manager who can serve as a bridge and assist clients with resolving any issues. DISCO is also one of the more expensive eDiscovery vendors on the market, but the offerings are so robust, that it is worth the cost in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

DISCO is streamling our document reivew through the use of targeted searches and AI. DISCO is also streamlining the annotation of depositions through the use of Case Builder, allowing us to tag, annotate and create video clips for use at trial without the need of multiple different tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
