What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

The best feature about DISCO is the intuitive nature of the controls. With very little training, it is simple to get to grips with how the system works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

The platform can sometimes be a bit buggy when using the filtering options. Occasionally the platform crashes when you use several filters, forcing you to re-load the documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

The platform is straightforward to use and there are numerous resources on their site for more in-depth tools. The tools are great, but the support team we work with is by far the most crucial part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

The layout is not overwhelming. It is well organized and again easy to figure out what to do, what actions are available, how to move through a review, how to do searches, etc. Everything is pretty much on the screen for you and can just be clicked on to use. The search builder feature is also very helpful and makes searching for documents, or for a specific term in a document, very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

That I can't simply click on a folder to see the documents in that folder. That I have to do a search for the documents in that folder instead. Also, during an ingest, documents can't be saved to a particular folder at the time of the ingest, that this needs to be done as a separate step after the ingest is complete. Would just appreciate less steps when dealing with the folders - to be able to just click on the folder to see the documents, and to save documents to the folder directly during the ingest process. Maybe this is just an issue when doing a Native ingest? Which is typically what I am doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dealing with a large number of documents either from our client, or produced by other parties, in order to manage the documents for use during litigation. Locating specific documents fairly quickly using the search builder. That can help identify an entire group of documents, or locate one specific document, or documents on a particular subject, from a particular author, or created on a specific date, or referring to a particular topic, or mentioning a specific term or word. Disco's seamless and intuitive interface, quick processing time, and "self service" capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

Literally, nothing. Having used multiple other platforms, Disco is by far the best. I would, however, love to see direct interfaces with Slack and Gmail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

Makes cloud based review very easy and the word search function is very accurate. The service support is also very responsive. It is also cheaper then other similar products that I have seen. Very easy to create and mark with various tags. If the meat data is included, then tracking documents as they go through multiple custodians and forwarded is very robust and useful. Takes out a lot of the guess work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

Without metadata, it can be very difficult to find documents (ie bates number searching won't work. Difficult to take notes on documents and use those notes. Creates lots of duplication. Definitely need to go through the training they provide because it will be difficult to use all of the tools without the training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

1mm+ pages of discovery would not be possible without review program like DISCO. This is a great way to deal with litigation that involves a series of cases with similar production across cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DISCO eDiscovery?

(1) The simple pricing structure (we pay based on GB). I have used other e-discovery platforms and one of the most vexing things is having 100 cost variables, making it extremely difficult to control or predict costs. The pricing also seems to be quite reasonable, allowing DISCO to be used even in relatively small cases.

(2) Very user-friendly and intuitive interface in general. I like the very visual search builder, for example. I have also found things like the document visualization to be very helpful to evaluate things like whether there are holes in our or the other side's production. I also love how the document review system is closely integrated into other things (e.g. you can input privilege log information while reviewing, then readily export that into a privilege log).

(3) DISCO staff has been very responsive and helpful in general. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DISCO eDiscovery?

I have not had any major issues. My one gripe is that sometimes the search sometimes can be hyper-sensitive to the syntax of the search, in ways that are not always super obvious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DISCO eDiscovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use DISCO for managing and reviewing the documents on a relatively document-intensive case. I have used it for all purposes related to that, as well as other things such as creating a privilege log and exporting document sets for preparing for depositions and structuring meetings with witnesses and client.
