Top Rated Directual platform Alternatives
12 Directual platform Reviews
I like all of the power & flexibility of directual. Its also very scalable, it can handle whatever you can throw at it as long as you can pay for. They also have upgrades for every year if you bought in via a LTD.
The customer support is top notch via discord. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve and the price can be an issue but its a really great platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
True No-Code with Back-End Power:
Directual offers a unique capability of working as a true no-code platform while also allowing API integrations, advanced logic, and data handling on the back-end. This makes it stand out, especially when you want more customization beyond what traditional no-code builders like OutSystems or Bubble allow.
Drag-and-Drop Workflow Builder:
The workflow builder is intuitive. For me, setting up complex workflows and automating processes have been a breeze. You visually design in a flowchart style, and things execute as expected—no bugs or unnecessary complications.
API Integration and Data Handling:
Directual's support for APIs is comprehensive. You can easily integrate third-party services and build workflows on top of them. Sizeable, robust databases can be managed effortlessly, and the real-time data feature is a gem if you need dynamic updates (e.g., live updates in web apps).
Scalability and Performance:
I’ve been genuinely impressed with how scalable Directual is—hosting both small-scale applications and complex multi-user systems without a hiccup. The performance is consistently high, even with a substantial amount of data or concurrent users accessing the system.
Developer Support and Communities:
Even if you're not highly technical, Directual’s support is receptive and responsive. When you dive into the more complex no-code/developer hybrid territory, there’s Google-level documentation with plenty of resources online – and other users are quite helpful. maybe more capabilities for the frontend feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Directual to put together experimental apps on and off for around 3 years now - I mainly use it to flesh out proof of concepts where the data structures and logic need working out. The platform is great for doing exactly this, as it presents you with all the required interface options to string together the backend and a simple frontend clearly and easily. As long as you have some idea of what components you need to have in place to string together a functioning app.
The development team is very responsive and have been very active in pushing out new features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Built into the platform is the ability to pull together a basic, functional frontend, but styling it isn't as straightforward - many people seem to use a different software to put together a frontend, then use Directual to drive the backend.
When building on this platform, there is limited ability to migrate your projects to other platforms
Some useful features and extensions require additional payment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I rely on Directual to test my startup ideas, quickly scaling them up afterward. Primarily, it serves as my go-to service for databases and backend functionalities. The flexibility and simplicity it offers in database management stand out to me the most. With the ability to write custom code, the platform provides almost limitless possibilities. It not only streamlines my workflow but also saves me significant time, allowing me to focus on innovation and growth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One aspect that doesn't quite align with my needs is that Directual isn't yet an all-in-one solution for me. Personally, I find the frontend development aspect lacking convenience. I prefer either handling it myself or resorting to other services for frontend design. Integrating a smoother frontend development experience within the platform would make it even more comprehensive and appealing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The first thing I blacked out when using the app is the user-frendly interface. I think it will be understandable even to those who have no experience in programming.
I also want to mention the excellent documentation that will help if you encounter difficulties.
I think the Directual is more designed to create complex web app with complex logic. And without code. This provides great opportunities.
Also want to note that you can easily manage the database, edit it, create it, and you can easily find data using an integrated search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thre also several disadvantages.
When switching to a paid plan, there are few api requests for an additional fee.
I would also like Directual to work on an automatic restriction or warning on the unitended use of requests. I accidentally exceeded the request limit by 3 million. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate the no code approach to app development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a bit of a learning curve for people who have no developer skills. If you are a total newbie to the structure you may get lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can create a product of any complexity and scale, code-free, simply by moving blocks around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's tough at the beginning, but that's always the case with cool tools. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was hard to start with. For me, as a nonskilled developer, their templates were very helpful. I could start Fruity CRM or marketplace and learn how actually Directual works. The best part is they keep adding more plugins so you can basically connect Directual natively to a lot of other SaaS tools and build more than just MVP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You need to spend a bit of your time learning how Directual works. If you are not a developer you will feel like "you're literally lost". But once you get used to it (they have great Dev Help Docs and tutorials) believe me you can build your MVP very fast and very cheap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Directual platform provides documentation and tutorials to assist non developers in getting started. Once you grasp it you can efficiently and affordably create your product (MVP). Although there is a learning curve its definitely worth the effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be challenging for users due, to its complexity and lack of an intuitive interface. It requires some time and effort to understand and navigate through the platform effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
