**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Pricing is predictable, Easy setup, Great UI

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Regions like Latam need to be addresable it would be great to have predictable pricing on insfratructure to serve latam and think on putting an app to production with DO, the developer experience is great I have yet to learn more on other servicer more than Droplets but is great.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the development cycle is great to predic how much it will cost all the insfracture.

  ### 4. Best Cloud Service Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bishal . | Chief Technical Officer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Digital Ocean is the best cloud service provider. They provide various services like Storage, Database, Computing (Droplets). The best thing I like about digital ocean is that they give free credits for 60 days, which helps a person to try their platform. They have one of the best & most up-to-date documentations.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

One thing I dislike about DigitalOcean is that they don't have many geographical locations for the droplets; as feedback, I would love to see more locations, even in the India region.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using DigitalOcean droplets & Spaces to do most of my business, and that's the thing I love most about the DigitalOcean I can manage my whole business over one place.

  ### 5. Its great for hosting apps and easy to maintain

  ### 6. Worst Customer Support of any Cloud Providers by Far

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fine Art | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Clean administration interface. Not many features but reliable.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

The customer support is close to non existent, non-helpful and borderline disrepectful.

They use other companie's technology (i.e S3 for storage) but only implement it halfway. You spend hours debugging an issue on your side when it's actually missing on their side. And when you contact support first thing the do is to push you the fault on your implementation, tell you to read the doc, and then disappear for the next 24h.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloud provider.

  ### 7. DigitalOcean: Exceptional Support and Performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derotino S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

I am extremely satisfied with the exceptional support and outstanding performance they offer. The support team is always responsive, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to assist with any issues or inquiries. The performance of their services is top-notch, providing fast and reliable infrastructure that consistently meets my expectations. I highly recommend DigitalOcean for their remarkable support and impressive service performance.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

While DigitalOcean has many advantages, it's important to acknowledge a couple of limitations. One downside is the limited flexibility in terms of memory and processing combinations. Depending on your specific requirements, you may find it challenging to fine-tune the allocation of resources to match your needs precisely.

Another drawback is the pricing structure when a droplet (virtual machine) is powered off. DigitalOcean charges for the allocated resources even if the droplet is not actively running. This can be a disadvantage if you frequently need to pause or turn off your droplets to save costs.

Despite these limitations, DigitalOcean still offers a robust cloud platform with excellent support and performance. It's important to consider your specific use case and evaluate whether these disadvantages significantly impact your workflow before making a decision.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With DigitalOcean, you can quickly create and configure droplets without the need for complex setup processes. This benefits users by saving time and making it simpler to run their applications or websites in the cloud. In terms of security, DigitalOcean offers various features to protect your droplets and data. They provide firewall options to control incoming and outgoing network traffic, ensuring only authorized connections are allowed. DigitalOcean also offers private networking, which allows you to isolate your droplets from the public internet and enhance the security of your infrastructure.

  ### 8. Fantastic platform with an equally as fantastic support behind it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlo W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

The user interface by far, is the standout item to me. This is because there is never really a question of whether something does the thing you want or is the thing you are looking for.

It is clean, clear and understandable, from launching a particular service to understanding your billing.

I have been using DigitalOcean for a long time, and I have watched them add so many services to the platform; usually, with the addition of services, there is a degradation in usability due to the complexities introduced with each, but at every step, they have put thought and time into the design.

As I switched from more traditional server-based setups to App Platform, I can honestly say that that was the easiest and smoothest transfer I have done.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

There aren't too many downsides that I have run into. In most cases they listen to their community and provide updates regularly. The only gripe I would have (and I am really stretching here) is that sometimes their documentation can be lacking key specifications and I have to rely on the community for answers.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a platform to host my upcoming AI-based app from frontend to middleware to backend with databases, block storage and machine learning. I didn't want all of my technology in different servers, on different platforms, and custom-created to run on a particular infrastructure. As such, DigitalOcean provided me with all of the above and made it next to seamless to integrate with each other.

  ### 9. Great, affordable and easy to use cloud provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Simplicity. Apps are my favourite service provided by DO, configuration is straightforward and easy, but also allows more advanced setup.
Bringing up infranstructure is hassle free.
There is no steep learning curve, you can always start simple and then do more advanced setups.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I'd like to say prices but it's really one of the cheapest cloud provider on market. Maybe an official mobile app for management would be nice but it isn't a must have.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me an easy way to deploy my apps and do play with them when prototyping. Limiting the overhead related to infrastructure configuration and automation saves me a lot of time.

  ### 10. A reliable well dimensioned cloud service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** João Pedro S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

DigitalOcean's cloud service brought security, stability, and perfectly suitable solutions to my business. Now, I can focus on what really matters: coding.
When I was using cloud services from another provider, I spent more time configuring and trying to fit the service into my budget than actually coding.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I think the experience of doing everything online is good, but I miss human contact for support or even customer success. Perhaps having the option to buy online human support would be beneficial.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is resolving issues about security, stability and budget. I spent less time as a DevOps and more as a Software developer and it increased my bussiness performance.

  ### 11. Best Straight forward VPS deployment environment!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vatsal S. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2022

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

I like it's simplicity, I've used other providers as linode, aws too but digital ocean is the most straight forward solution one could ask for, one click deployment, no need to worry about anything else, and while it manages all the boring tech stuff, it still gives you 100% complete control over your VPS or droplet in this case!

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

The 'Backup' service could be better; it sometimes simply doesn't work, or at least in my case didn't work; other than that, the best alternative to all the other . The backup that should have been present wasn't on the list , the day it was needed! I also asked the support but no help.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I deployed multiple of my personal and company servers in their droplets, currently 2 of them are live, It helps me host all my python web servers that require more control than provided in heroku etc.

  ### 12. Reasonable prices, reliable service, useful tools with a straightforward management API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

I like that DigitalOcean provides analogues for the truly useful services one finds in the BIG cloud providers. VMs, object storage, block storage. Oh yeah, great tutorials too!

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I suppose it's necessary for every business to respond to the current technology trend, but I'd be sad to see DigitalOcean chasing every new buzzword technology that makes a big splash in the news. *cough* blockchain *cough*

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cheap, reliable virtual server in the cloud that does NOT run in AWS, GCP, Azure, or God forbid Oracle Cloud. This provides me a reliable anchor point for an office that uses consumer service for connectivity.

  ### 13. Easy to grow a business with Digital Ocean

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan W. | Co-Founder, CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

On top of solid service, the admin interface makes management of infrascructure a breeze.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Hmm I'm not sure that anything comes to mind. I've yet to be disappointed by Digital Ocean.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DIgital Ocean allows me to scale up my infrastructure as my business grows. I need a bigger droplet for a running project, or a new droplet for a new project? Done.

  ### 14. Best VPS and cloud systems for your business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

I like the simplicity and easiness of the platform, well priced and fantastic support. I live the marketplace access that comes with pre-installed technology stack and setups.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I don't find there is any downside of using digital ocean, its all well packaged and built. I just feel they should add a lot more day to day tools in the marketplace bundle that we can just click to install and configure

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helps me deploy my systems faster and instant scabality to add more storage, cpu and other resources. I love the fact its so transparent with its resources and no hidden costs that suprise

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

From my understanding as user with medium experience on server management the level of feature offered is very good, I have also tested with other bigger providers bit find Digital Ocean easier to manage

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Maybe some other providers now have more affordable small plans.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can launch a VPS very effectively

  ### 16. Excellent quality service

It does not have an email service or an equivalent to Amazon SES.
It does not have an equivalent to Amazon S3.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlined hosting, cost control, perfect for my ventures techs (web app, microservices, and so on)

  ### 17. DigitalOcean is the best cloud computing platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil M. | Application Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

DigitalOcean is an excellent platform for cloud computing. DigitalOcean provides scalable VPS (Virtual Private Server) where we can host our Web applications, database applications and other services.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

There are almost all good things about DigitalOcean. I don't think there is anything I dislike about it. They can improve their costing structure so small and medium size companies can benefit from it.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DigitalOcean for my VPS hosting. DigitalOcean is more scalable and flexible; initially, we can start with low configuration and storage. Then, if we need more storage, computation power, and memory, we can upgrade it on the same VPS. DigitalOcean is the best in the market and is supported globally.

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

For me, the value that I receive is very good. The pricing is clearly stated so I have never had to contend with surprise changes. The server has been reliable. Notices of any maintenance related outages are clearly shared ahead of time. In the end, I don't have to worry about surprises.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I have not experienced anything that I do not like about Digital Ocean. For me, I get what I expect and have not had to report many issues. When I have, I can count on a quick reply.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Except for virtual server products, the app is not familiar with the usage steps, which is cumbersome

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I deployed the docker program conveniently. There are many options and regions. It is very stable and basically has no faults.

  ### 21. Great Platform to Level Up

They take security very seriously. Their team has written excellent tutorials on various topics that are frustration-free. Their billing is easy to understand, and their dashboard is easy to navigate.

It takes a second to get used to the platform. This is true of any offering these days. Much more user-friendly than AWS and similar offerings. I came from Heroku and have been thrilled.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love using Digital Ocean to deploy docker containers. You can get an app idea up and running and have APIs supplying content quickly once you've set up everything.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joey Albert A. | Senior Application Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

DO pricing and value are one of the best in the currently available market. The zones available are ideal for my current setup and customers. Reliability is decent at least for the last 7 years I have been using the system. Prototyping, deployment, and hosting of SME projects are one of the core strengths of DO.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Unlike AWS certain or bigger customers do not consider DO as an option to host their platform. It lacks the features and familiarity available on AWS and Azure. It does not have a core product or service that it truly excels at.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Convenience and reliability. The marketplace feature is a good place to start for people who wanted to explore items. Functions are ok for small processes or jobs.

  ### 24. Successfully used for multiple personal projects

**Reviewed by:** Andrew S. | 3D-Coat programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Easy to set up, stable work, low-cost. I used it for the node.js projects for me and my children (the studied node.js).

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

It was not easy to set up access from other SSH clients, like SmarTTY. But probably, it is a lack of experience.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting the node.js projects

  ### 25. One Stop Platform for all cloud solutions, software queries, Q&A realated to any kind of products.

They have servers in multiple regions worldwide, including my country India which makes the service faster.
And I can also get a server worldwide instantly and on an hourly basis

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

They provide free credits when you first join their platform, but that credit expires in 3 months. In my case half of the credit was wasted as I was not able to use them

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me to get a better machine remotely at a very cheap rate

  ### 27. Perfect VPS solution for almost anyone!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jayteerth K. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Creating and configuring Cloud VPS servers is quick and hassle-free. There are plenty of options available with Intel and AMD multi-core processors. The charges are the cheapest in the industry. You are charged on per hourly basis, and you can stop and destroy your server at any point in time. Options like automated backups and performance data are available too.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Configuring the firewall etc needs to be done from CLI. If you aren't familiar with CLI, you need the help of tutorials. Though there are plenty comprehensive tutorials available, it is time-consuming. Option of web interface would be a great help.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloud VPS solutions for almost anything you want to do, from setting up a testing environment to app development or web hosting. I did host two of my WordPress sites on Digital Ocean.

**Official Response from Faiza Zia:**

  ### 30. DigitalOcean

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saha R. | User Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2022

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

DigitalOcean is the best VPS hosting provider I've ever used. All the performant specs are incredibly amazing and it provides a fascinating hosting experience. The user interface is pretty simple to use and the feature designs and placements are easy to locate.

I currently host two (2) websites under a single droplet (shared VPS) and what amazes me the most is that although the VPS is shared, it's still super fast.

It was super easy for me to install Ubuntu 18.04 OS and run Cyber Panel on it and with all my DNS records fully managed by Cloudflare, I get the best performance so far.

DigitalOcean is also affordable and reliable. It offers greater possibilities to host web apps and websites no matter my budget and expectations.

The support staff is very friendly and proactive. They provide help series of follow-up emails for each new client that joins their hub and there are several helpful beginner guides for server configuration and other problem troubleshooting purposes.

I enjoy its payment flexibility- this enables me to pay only for the resources used. No long-term commitment--it's the best!

I would have given it 20 stars if possible.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I discovered that most server locations are only based in the first-tier countries--What about some of us who are from the third (3rd) worlds?

Not all my websites come from the US, CA, UK, or AU. I think there should be servers available in South Africa or any other part of Africa which can enable us to provide a quality browsing experience to our users from Africa. It this could be done, I think DigitalOcean will be better even.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DigitalOcean hosting is the number website hosting solution that I'll ever recommend. I feel very comfortable with it and it gratifies my performance requirements. It's with all assurance and confidence that I firmly recommend it.

  ### 31. easy panel, no problems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gersin B. | Desenvolvedor full stack, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

The panel is very easy, I like the graphics and when I need help, I have it.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Nothing, everything in my host works well.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The better thing for me is the easy panel

  ### 32. Simple, working

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

For me, DigitalOcean is the perfect IaaS service. I appreciate the simplicity of chosing the exact product I need and the quality of the overall service. Compared to the most of the competitors, it keeps being my favorite when comes to bring a VM up in minutes. Linode is also a good alternative.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Sometimes I need to chose different services for not having the right SLA level or the lack of discounts for long-term commited services. Pre-paid discounted monthy plans would be a very appreciated improvement.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves my need to create on the spot VMS for dev and short-lived projects.

  ### 33. Fantastic resource for beginning web dev, easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Though I know I am using the bare amount of features DO has to offer, it is easy to manage droplets/projects and has been an incredible tool as a learning web developer.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

The UI / initial setup was a little intimitating at first.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DO has solved more problems than I can list here, but in short -- all of them. DO has solved all of them.

  ### 34. Digital ocean review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimmy H. | Independent Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Use ssd for storage instead of hard drive

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

None so far that I can think of. Will let you know

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Host websites

  ### 35. Good service, user friendly interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iman p. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Simple and very user friendly website in compared.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I think you should added more server locations.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used as own vps.

  ### 36. Best service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** cristian maximo q. | NodeJS Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

What I like the most about digital ocean is that the process of create VPS is eady, there is good documentation, and the performance is vrry good. Service is always up.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

There is no Latam datacenter, so latency for countries like Peru, Chile or Brazil is not as good as other cloud services.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have an invoice related web application, it works all day,.

  ### 37. Easy to use, quick to deploy, get up and running

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony L. | Solution Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Get things running in a few clicks. From deployment to configuration changes, it is easy to implement what you need to get your app running.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Would like to see import tools, since it's hard to find problems with digital ocean. For example, if I move a customer from dream host to digital ocean, it would be nice to have a wizard to help.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick deployment and easily run proof of concepts.

  ### 38. EASY, FAST & SECURE WORKING WITH DO

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahil J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

1. Clean, interactive & easy to understand interface.
2. Easy & fast server deployment
3. Domain management available
4. Managed Database for MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redis.
5. Huge Marketplace
6. Fast Nvme SSD & new hardware available in premium droplets.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

1. Little bit expensive then compitition ( Linode & Vultr )
2. Intel Premium droplets not fast as AMD Droplets.
3. Vultr High frequency servers much faster than Digital Ocean premium droplets.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tested LEMP server, Plesk, Cyberpanel & Litespeed WordPress. Digital Ocean is reliable & fast. I didn't face any issues on servers

  ### 39. Digital Ocean is an underrated cloud provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christoph W. | Solutions Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2022

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

I get top-notch and consistent performance at the best price anywhere. In this regard Digital Ocean cannot be beat.
In addition, the documentation and community are first rate, and while focused on business owners and their use cases (i.e. simple and straightforward), can and do often go very deep. None of the big three cpuld providers can touch that.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

There is nothing I truly dislike about Digital Ocean. One minor quibble is droplet downtime during maintenance periods, but that generally happens at time slots when it doesn't matter to me, so it is largely a moot point. And the downtime is very short.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Digital Ocean is first and foremost a small and medium business focused provider, as opposed to primarily focused on developers like the big three (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). As a result, Digital Ocean offerings are easy to understand and use for anyone with a modicum of technical knowledge, whereas for the big three one needs extensive training first.

  ### 40. Love it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxim A. | Mac Software Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2018

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Ability to deploy, upgrade or downgrade server specs as needed at any point + flexible pricing. For example, at some point a certain project would not compile due to low end server specs. I was able to easily upgrade the server, compile the project and downgrade the server back. If I need to test some software I can deploy a new server with one-click configuration in a few minutes, test the software and discard the server.

Another great thing is community guides. Plenty of useful information to help deploy and configure various software and environments. DigitalOcean dashboard is nice and easy to use. And I've just realized that in the years of using the service I rarely have to log in to my dashboard. Which is I big plus — when you "set and forget" the service, it means it just works.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

The only issue I had at some point is outgoing email delivery due to blacklisted IP address. Some email providers had to blacklist a whole range of IPs belonging to Digital Ocean. This might be a result of how easy it is to deploy a server and abuse it for unsolicited email delivery. To be fair it’s something that any cloud provider might experience and DO support was quite helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering DigitalOcean:**

Find a referral link to get free credit to try the service

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m running web sites for my own software products. Nothing big, so a cheap low end server spec is enough for me. I’ve been using DigitalOcean for a few years now and I'm happy with it.

  ### 41. Very satisfied with the DigitalOcean

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

I like that it is so easy and straight forward to use to build simple projects on droplets. It is very stable and I did not experience any issues so far while using it.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

When I started using DigitalOcean some of the functinality was not clear immedietly what it means so I needed to Google manually to understand. It would be helpful to have info icons on such places that go directly to knowledge base.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not aware of problems that DigitalOcean is solving or problems that needs solving from by perspective.

  ### 42. Fast and Simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerry P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Everything is uncomplicated. Google cloud and AWS have so many bells and whistles that it can make your experience difficult. DO's interface is super easy to use.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

So far everything has just worked. Backups are ready. Console is easy to use and web friendly. It is so easy to use that I have never had to contact support.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it mostly to host Wordpress servers. My servers are always up and running so it gives piece of mind. Backups are really easy to setup too so I feel backed up by a reliable company.

  ### 43. Fantastic partner for all my server requirements of all sizes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Being able to scale up and down my droplets as I require.
Spinning up droplets with a couple of clicks is very simple.
Administering backups and restoring CLI access after changing CLI - also really simple and helpful

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

The time I've tried to create a custom image and reuse it - I failed to get exactly what I wanted. That could have been an error on my parts.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want a simple service where I can adminster the software and technolgies that I want to use. This provides exactly that and gets out of my way.

  ### 44. Excellent service for secdevops

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Veronica V. | Project Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Deployment of new droplets is easy and fast; I have total control of the OS, no firewall to quickly test services and deployments, and a wide variety of locations to chose from.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Outside the normal droplet functionality, the use of apps and images and the market I think it could be more streamlined to make it more approachable to end users.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As part of my job I need to be able to test different software products, set up different networking scenarios, and try different deployments. Digital Ocean is great for this. Just create and destroy droplets on demand.

  ### 45. reliable easy and fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Song X. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

DigitalCcean gives me complete control of my VM. It also provides detailed documents for almost everything I want

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

The only thing I don't like is I have little time to test all the functions that DigitalOcean provides me.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DigitalOcean is friendly to beginners. Compared to another Iaas, DigitalOcean got me in fast.

  ### 46. The best of both worlds: Premium quality at an affordable price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Overall everything. It has a great balance between what it offers, Internet speed is very good, the option to choose the type of processor, locations, firewall configuration, in short. It is a very complete section. Everything is very didactic, there is detailed information about the costs generated by each instance, I love it.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

What I don't like is the bandwidth limit that it offers. I understand that for the price, it's what they offer.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far, I haven't had any problem with the product I've purchased.

  ### 47. Best Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ganesh K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Digital Ocean supports infrastructure for small and large-scale business websites with low-cost, highly secure and scalable environments.
Digital Ocean monitors and maintains our infrastructure with zero downtime.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

Based on our requirements DigitalOcean supports everything. But they need to add more services and products like other competitors.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are developing websites for our small scale customers based on our customer budget. Digital ocean provides infrastructure for us.

  ### 48. It just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

I have been able to set up any resources I need and when I have run into questions I don't know a solution for, I have always been able to find a "how-to" document.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I really haven't found any thing I dislike about DigitalOcean.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the storage solution as a CDN; I use a VPN for a private web-based application; and I host my church's website on the IAAS product. I also use DigitalOcean to host all of my DNS services

  ### 49. Great solution for rapid project deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

Simplicity: deployment of services with a few clicks!
Reliability: services just run!

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

I like everything so far, have nothing to complain about

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far I was using it to validate POCs

  ### 50. It has been a great experience so far, with easy docs and hosting for our database and servers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DigitalOcean?**

The costs are predictable for everything I use for my startup, and very easy to setup.

**What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?**

There is no way to directly pay in Indian currency.

**What problems is DigitalOcean solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides easy to use servers with predictable cost unlike AWS.
