It takes a small amount of time to set up the Top 10 Suppliers, completing the account codes, payment methods and description - but it's well worth it to be able to use AutoPublish - one click to then publish as many invoices that are in Receipt Bank for that supplier, and they're all published. **What do you dislike about Dext?** Nothing really, except cost - I currently count the price as a cost of sales to my business, but this may change going forward. **What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?** The data extracted from purchase invoices and receipts leaves little room for data import errors, such as can occur with manual data entry. I am able to check account codes and payment methods before publishing, and this all takes so much less time than previously. Leaving me free to deal with other business matters. Integration into both QBO and Xero is great. **What do you dislike about Dext?** A few niggles: looks very old-fashioned, expenses reports can only be emailed to one person (we have 2-step approvals). **Recommendations to others considering Dext:** It's the best data capture software out there for those who prepare expenses reports. **What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gets rid of paperwork and means we get the receipts and invoices we need. It works great in line with MTD as all invoices and receipts are stored within the Archives so you really can go paperless. **What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to actually have more clients due the the time saving receipt bank provides. It is also learning and automatically categorizing for me, which is fantastic. **What do you dislike about Dext?** There is quite a learning curve to get everything working smoothly. If there's a typo for example, it carries over and you have to fix on multiple places. There is also the expensing and matching that makes it difficult to easily edit transactions because it creates a matching back end document with a code string that the clients can't see, and that I have to go trough numerous steps to edit. **What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?** I think overall it has tremendous possibilities in the future. It's not perfect but saves me the hassle of chasing after paperwork. Sure, there are other solutions but I think Receipt Bank is priced perfectly for me and my clients. ### 36. It keeps my cost allocations standardized and prevents recording tax on purchases that isn't claimable as input tax credits. **What do you dislike about Dext?** Not caused by Receipt Bank: suppliers here in Canada use different date formats: mm/dd/yy, dd/mm/yy, and ISO yyyy/mm/dd. That last one Receipt Bank reads correctly, but I've had cases where the receipt is been identified as (for instance) February 11 when it should be November 2. Users should avoid using auto post for suppliers not using ISO dating. **Recommendations to others considering Dext:** Speedy, useful and easy to set up and use. **What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?** Speeds up processing of receipts, saving time over the old processing time, plus has the added features of saving an image to the transaction in the upstream bookkeeping software. ### 49.
