Recommendations to others considering DevKinsta:
Make sure you have a computer with plenty of processing power. Otherwise you'll probably be better off using an online server. Also, plan out where you will store you website files so you don't end up with duplicates, or worse - losing them if you end up deleting the site. You can find this in the dashboard though.
If you aren't using Kinsta hosting, be sure you check the specs of the server you will be hosting on to make sure they are set up the same. (PHP version, Database, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is DevKinsta solving and how is that benefiting you?
For most development these days, it is easy and cheap enough to spin up a site directly on your hosting server, but for testing and just designing website components, that can still be a waste. It also doesn't work well if you have slow wifi or no internet access at all. I can start designs for long projects locally; then when I'm ready to start involving the client or other devs, it is easy enough to migrate the site to a live server.
It is also easy to test updates like PHP and new WordPress versions in the same environment so you know they will actually work when moved to the live site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
