My first experience with the Paid App on WIndows was mostly successful but when I had a glitch I contacted them and in an update it was fixed. The process was smooth and ultimately reassuring as their customer service for a software app was excellent.

About the app: It's well thought-out, not to overwhelming to learn or onboard others, and browser-interface based so very convenient but only in a one dimensional way.

I analyzed and evaluated 4 Time Tracking software/apps and DeskTime's ease of use and learning with pleasant interface clearly won out. This app works best if you are locked at your desk and you have limited the number of tasks you are paid for online. BUT the App only serves to tell me when I was on certain websites and my Windows explorer. It doesn't break up the Tasks by time on those websites. For example, I research so having multiple "task"under the rubric of research can be difficult to track. PROBLEM: The Web timer has a Description slot and a Task slot for the Project you are timing but this is confusin and you can't sort by Description so it shouldn't be first in the listing. Further, if I have two tasks and want to see in real time how much of each I have been working on them during the work day there isn't a screen to switch to for this. The productivity bar is a waste of space. Therefore the App doesn't delineate the times, or another way, it doesn't track times only pretends to track productivity. Very frustrating.
