Recommendations to others considering Design Pickle:
I have been using Design Pickle for my center's design needs, and while the service is convenient, I've encountered some challenges that impact the overall experience. One significant issue is the inconsistency with follow-ups. For example, if there's an item in the queue and the designer has a question or can't get to it right away, they send a message. Even when I respond promptly—usually within the first 30 minutes—the project often still gets held up for another day, which delays our timelines.
Additionally, I've noticed a lack of attention to detail in some submissions. For instance, several projects have been delivered with the footer information for a different center, which is a clear oversight and suggests that there wasn’t enough attention given to ensuring accuracy. This kind of mistake is not acceptable, especially when dealing with branded materials.
When it comes to requests that are off-brand or require a bit of creativity, the output tends to lack variety and innovation. I was hoping for more diverse samples and options to choose from, but instead, I've found the designs to be somewhat repetitive.
Lastly, I'd like to suggest an improvement to the dashboard. It would be incredibly helpful to have a notification system that alerts you when there's an unread message from the designer. I missed several messages simply because I'm used to focusing on the revisions section. A red mark or some sort of indicator would be a great addition to ensure nothing is overlooked.
Overall, while Design Pickle offers a convenient service, these areas need improvement to enhance the user experience and ensure high-quality, timely outputs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
