It is not yet linked to our ERP system so we have to screen manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My company has integrated Descartes Denied Party Screening with our primary ERP systems, and the result has been effective, consistent screening of parties with minimal "hands-on" work. With several, separate subsidiaries, it is convenient that the subsidiaries and even sites can be segregated for easier review. Their team ensures that the multitude of lists are up to date and our parties are rescreened daily against the additions. The option to screen manually (outside the ERP system) is helpful when reviewing new potential partners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really, there are minimal drawbacks to using the system. I would say that using a word-based algorithm does create more false positives than we would like to have, but I'm not sure there is a more effective way to screen. Also, Descartes should consider allowing customers to perform their own user management rather than to put in requests to add, remove, or change the permissions for users. More false positives than I would like, additionally I would like for a wider window to be able to search past screenings, it is quite clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Descartes software is very easy to use and user-friendly. The overall look and feel is manageable and not difficult to navigate. It also keep track of hits and resolutions of those hits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a good user interface. I use it primarily for RPS but also the Export Workflow sometimes. The support team is EXCELLENT, especially Amber McAlpine and Mark Ferguson. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The training is only well suited towards export managers. However, we administer this software accross an institution. We developed our training to simplify information for admins who use the search function across the institution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The process to export/download/print the final report is a bit cumbersome Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Descartes Denied Party Screening is userfriendly and gives the results with a complete background of related legislation.
