The colors are easy to tell the difference in statuses and it is easy to use. Because we use this software everyday, it has become an easier process overall. Additionally, we have worked closely with the customer support team on any issues we have and they seem to handle changes well. **What do you dislike about Descartes Aljex?** While the process is easier, this seems like a work in progress. We have had multiple issues with overall slowness with the product, and while customer support has helped us, there are still some things that remain overall not what we want. We still don't have the rate confirmation changes we asked for, we still struggle with overall slowness, and we thought these are things we would have solved after over a year of implementation. Upon getting this software, we were told there are things that we should be able to utilize, but the split screen option still doesn't work well, multiple shipments mix up money, and there are just too many outages when updates come out. Every update seems to slow down Aljex, to a point where one morning we had to use the beta version, which worked well as a placeholder, but is something that shouldn't happen. **What problems is Descartes Aljex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Aljex solved the problem of an updated TMS. We had an older system that worked but desperately needed updating, and that is what Aljex offered. It brings our TMS into the future. ### 4. The user-friendly interface layout is much easier to navigate, and it allows others to quickly pick up and learn from it. **What do you dislike about Descartes Aljex?** Occasional sync issues were a problem; some technical updates made some pre-existing processes more complicated, or we had to shift to a different system just for that feature. I use it all day, and it works perfectly, also the customer support is really good, in my experience I have never had issues or glitches while I am using it. **What do you dislike about Descartes Aljex?** That sometimes you need to save your pro# a lot of times to make more changes to the same pro#, for example, if i am adding a leg, and adding the pick up time, i need to save the pick up time first or it will not let me add the leg, it just takes a couple seconds and you get used to it but it would be good if we would be able to update everything and save it once without any problem. **What problems is Descartes Aljex solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helos us bill, have track of all our containers and the status of each one, withouth aljex it would be very complicated to have track of everything. ### 7. It would be nice if also you can open separated loads in separated tabs within Aljex not in the browser. Customer Support on weekends takes a bit longer, not sure if they have 24/7. **What problems is Descartes Aljex solving and how is that benefiting you?** After switiching from another TMS to Aljex it feels more easy to work, before you were not able to check the loads from your phone or ipad/tablet, now you have have a look while traveling, this is just an small benefit from a bunch that Aljex offers. ### 8. That function streamlined out carrier payments from what we previously had. I also like the customer support. I find them to be knowlegeable and prompt. **What do you dislike about Descartes Aljex?** Even though I can appreciate the data integrity reasons behind it, I dislike that there is not a function to unrealse a load once it's released. I think people with certain permissions (like accounting or managers) should be able to unrelease a load. The biggest problem for me with this is that if a carrier sends in a valid receipt or accessorial charge request and we've already released the load to accounting, there is no way to update a rate con. I have to have an Adobe subscription so I can manually edit/update the rate con. It has a osm features to sync your files from your selected folder so you don't have to worry about keeping that so many places Also it keep track of payment details such as I can keep a track of payments all this can be tracked on load section. Also all the details and documents are at one place like customer details and carrier details as well as shippment details. Also I share multiple documents easily. **What do you dislike about Descartes Aljex?** There is missing feature to duplicate multiple loads at once instead of that there is only option do one at a timewhich is time consuming. The look is very ancient looking and should be a customer portal option avaible for LTL and FTL. Apart from that it helps in tracking the payment history and timeline. Reports generated from Aljex helps in reconciling the records with the other accounting software. **What do you dislike about Descartes Aljex?** It slows down the browser and hangs the system. Also, whether the payment has been made to a carrier or it's factoring is not be specified on the software after the payment has been issued. **What problems is Descartes Aljex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Aljex helps me to keep a record of every shipment. Documents for both the client and the carrier can be uploaded on the software which saves a lot of time and effort. Apart from that the shipments can be tracked in the system later very easily, whenever required, as it creates a unique PRO number for each load/shipment. The best part being that these PRO numbers can also be VOIDED (cancelled) if a shipment has been or gets cancelled after the initial booking. ### 49.
