DI is a lower cost alternative (per month) to Weave for similar features.

The numbers were always inaccurate and DI wouldn't/couldn't fix it.

It provided enough analytics to give me reasons to pull reports I wouldn't normally pull.

**What do you like best about Dental Intelligence?**

Dental Intel / Modento have been an AMAZING addition to our company. The time it has saved our team is priceless. With the analytics end, technical support (even for training questions!) to the patient communication, we finally have a system that works! Dental Intel is definitely the way to go and I would recommend their services to everyone. Definitely at least do a demo, you'll be glad you did!

Surprisingly we haven't found anything that we don't like about the anaylitics yet, and we have been using DI for about 5-6 years!

**What problems is Dental Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a system that calculates all of our analytics and integrates with our practice management system is amazing. It helps with our KPI's and goals, and keeping track of treatment that needs to be scheduled or followed up on.

**What do you like best about Dental Intelligence?**

Absolute trash of a company. I’ve spoken to 3 people there including Casey and Gwen to cancel this account. We signed up for a two-year term but after switching softwares we can no longer use them. Nothing in our agreement says we can’t cancel before the term ends and yet they continue charging our card. We keep disputing and getting our funds back but no one there will listen and just stop charging our card. Do not trust this company.  They are a knockoff of Dentrix Patient Engage and the records don't pull seamlessly.

Huddle doesn't pull correct numbers

It was supposed to help us set goals. Doesn't pull data correctly and the patient forms are not integrated with Dentrix.

**What do you like best about Dental Intelligence?**

Our favorite feature from Dental Intel is being able to create recall lists through very specific filters. It helps us get a more comprehensive list than if we were to use Eaglesoft to get a list of patients. We have much success using this to fill specific gaps in time or doctor's schedules.

**What do you dislike about Dental Intelligence?**

It is VERY intelligent, so we don't have many issues or errors. We've only found that the re-appointment data is not always accurate. This is partially due to user error, as some services were not attached. But in some cases where services WERE attached at the time of scheduling, it was still not being counted as a re-appointed visit. We are still looking into this issue on our end, though.

**What problems is Dental Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are really able to dive into the analytics of our practice, such as production, collections, and re-appointment rates. We also get day-to-day analytics and recommendations on ways that we can reach our goal throughout the day.

User friendly for letting patients book an appointment at their convenience.  Working with the training staff is so helpful.  I am a dental consultant and I had previously recommended other patient communication software - their customer service was very poor.  Modento has really delivered on their promises.  A great addition to our dental world.  Chase & Brainne have been terrific.

I don't have to consider how many patients will be there when I plan my doctor's appointment. It's done well with this app.

I believe the app's user interface can be enhanced to draw in more users.

If you're unable to maintain a full and productive schedule, this product will help you.

If you are able to maintain a full and productive schedule, it's going to be tough to get a lot out of this software. Our hygiene production is already doing well, Re-book percentage already high, production rates good... that's what this software tries to help you with. 
On the other hand, if you're a multi-location practice/group, you'll need something like this to report on the different locations.

**Recommendations to others considering Dental Intelligence:**

Consider any option that doesn't expose you into an auto-renewing yearly contract, yet shows you who has available insurance $$$ and an open treatment plan.

**What problems is Dental Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Neither myself or my staff are solving any problems with this SaaS. I tried to get out of my 15 month contract within two months of using the service. I have told them several times that we just don't have a need for the software. I've had meetings with their consultants to try to find something we can use the software for. No suggestions on what we could improve. I broke my rule of never signing contracts for software... there is a reason why people do and should live by that rule.
Besides production numbers, the software helps you find out who has $$$ left on their insurance and usually shows up to appointments. There are better and WAY less expensive options out there that don't require a commitment.

I really like that this software connects directly to my patient management software, and pulls the data without any intervention.  There is a plethora of data that it provides.

**What do you dislike about Dental Intelligence?**

That monthly expense.  IT is a little too pricy in my opinion.  Yes, the data that you get is amazing, however my business focuses on controlling monthly costs.

**Recommendations to others considering Dental Intelligence:**

Dental Intel is great for data!  You just have to know what to do with all the data.  I love that I can see a snapshot of my office really easily, however it is always difficult to know what to do with that data.  I would recommend it to an office that has time, or an office manager that knows how to utilize the data.

**What problems is Dental Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized that if you do not have data, then there is no way that you can pinpoint what needs fixed in your business.  There are many aspects of Dental Intel that opens your mind to potential problems, or even just areas to improve.

I love that we can create templates to send out to patients for frequently encountered situations.
And your response time has increased, without the option of leaving a voice mail.

I would rather not have to click "post to ledger" for each individual payment received; something like a "select all payments" button would be helpful for End-Of-Day collection submissions and reviews.

Without Modento, it would be extremely hard to keep up with instant patient chatlines. Having the option to text OR email all from one portal is amazingly helpful.

Modento makes my job easier with the text/email reminders for appointments. Patients doing all their forms at home makes it easier on the front desk.

the biggest problem we have is patients not being able to sign in as they do not have a email or cell phone on file. Also need to figure out how to limit the reminders if a patient confirms appt. Not being able to use our phone number for texting, not having a local number.

Getting all patients to update their forms under the new doctor.

The best aspect I think, is online scheduling which lets our patients book appointments online and goes right to our system flawlessly. Also, the patient finder is fantastic it gives us in the office a lot of control.

We don't really use the dashboards very much; although I think they could be useful, we don't have anyone technical enough to use the data to make a big impact on the practice.

I love this software! It literally does everything for us! It imports everything into the patients dentrix and can even keep track of all unscheduled patients! Plus send messages and reminders and documents to patients. And it will automatically import it into their file. Amazing!!

I wish we didn't have to refresh it for it to remove the patient we just worked on. And sometimes it will not register that you clicked on the next patient to work on for calls and it will go onto another patient with out you realizing. That could be fixed

**What do you like best about Dental Intelligence?**

Since converting to a "curbside check-in" model due to COVID, the ability to send text messages to communicate with our patients has been invaluable.  We also LOVE the paperless patient forms and the constant updates that Modento rolls out EVERY MONTH!  With the help of Modento, we have been able to implement new systems to streamline our patient flow from check-in, to treatment planning, to check-out. We love the text to pay feature as well which has helped minimize the amount of statements that need to be printed and mailed out, thus actually SAVING us time and money. Their tech support is also the best we've dealt with over the number of practice management software systems we have used over the years.

**What do you dislike about Dental Intelligence?**

The T-Mobile issue is a big one.   If that could get fixed somehow, that would be super helpful.  It would also be helpful to be able to select which cell number to text  without having to change the guarantor within our PM software.  Being a pediatric practice, it's not uncommon for a different parent to bring the child in so it would be nice to have the option to select which phone number we are sending links for paperwork, consents, etc. to.

**Recommendations to others considering Dental Intelligence:**

Be open to the differences between Modento and other patient communications platforms.  Modento is extremely user friendly (even my completely "non-techie" employees can use it) and the support is phenomenal.  Don't be afraid to use it!  They are there to help and they do just that, fast and efficiently!

**What problems is Dental Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the issue of going paperless and finding a system that works for our busy pediatric dental practice. We have switched our merchant services accounts as well since trying out and loving the APEX text to pay feature and the automatic integration into our PMS is so much more efficient.  With all of the new restrictions due to COVID, Modento has been so helpful with patient flow.  We are able to get our parents all of the information they need while keeping the flow of people in our office to a minimum.

There needs to be a phone confirmation option for our elderly patients that don't text and email.  Medical history needs to integrate into Eaglesoft.

We love the ease of forms and consents!  Our patients love the ease of taking care of paperwork before they even get  here.

There are a few features that cost extra.  i prefer paying one price for complete access.

My patients love they can text and communicate through the platform, and love the ease in which they receive intake forms, and treatment plans. Patients also love the check in features, and a buzz is beginning with my loyalty rewards program! My staff also loves being paperless! My staff is very excited with the new live ops feature, and can’t wait for the online scheduling.  Did I mention, the modento team is awesome!? They are friendly, respond quickly to any questions, and are great with support! I will most definitely will be recommending Modento my colleagues.

Being able to instantly communicate with patients (text), the ability to send paperwork, tx estimates, bulk emails through our Modento portal

Inability to send a tx estimated and a consent for tx together. Also getting spam messages that can't seem to get rid of

**Recommendations to others considering Dental Intelligence:**

I have used several other patient communication systems in the past and none of them came close to having the capability to do what Modento has been able to do for our practice! The way we are able to communicate with our patients has reduced our appointment no shows and cancelations substantially. The email templates, consents, treatment estimate layout, etc... are all professionally written and laid out in a way that the patient can understand. You can also edit any of the templates to customize them more for your practice, in addition to editing any verbiage for automat appointment reminders/messages.

**What do you like best about Dental Intelligence?**

I like everything about Modento. The easy of use, the setup, the customer support and the overall product itself. We are a pediatric dental office and we use it for our forms, scheduling, sending paperwork, checking people in, reviews, reminders etc. I love that it is completely automated, my staff just makes an appointment in the dental software we use and the complete patient experience from that point on is on autopilot. The patients get the paperwork, they get reminders if they dont do the paperwork ahead of time, they get reminders about their appointment time and they get a review link after. It has definitely helped boost our patient attendance rate, reduce our cancellations and helped us get a lot of stellar reviews.

There is nothing I dislike thus far, in products like these customer service is what is lacking but the counterfactual is true for Modento, they have phenomenal support. My staff texts, emails them with dumb queries all the time, they are always patient and quick at finding a solution

**What do you like best about Dental Intelligence?**

Modento is what every front office person hopes for! If you are busy office or a small office.....this will be your best friend.  We have tried other services and nothing has compared to the customer service you get with Modento!  Almost all of our paper work is finished prior to the patient arriving for the appointment including consents.  Less chair time is taken up and appointments stay on schedule when things are completed ahead of time.  It automatically sends paperwork to the patients so that is helpful and not one more thing to think of in your day.  I love that we can send billing statements electronically, reducing paper and stamps!

**What do you dislike about Dental Intelligence?**

Our current system is Dentrix and not all of Modento's features are linked with Dentrix.  So we are not getting the full impact of what Modento could do for our practice.

Start working with Modento.  A lot of practices are using multiple sources to do what one service could do for you!

Modento is like hiring another office staff member, it makes your day more manageable without adding to your overhead.

The covid prescreening being automated is a huge help!!  All forms get saved into the smart doc which is super convenient.  Most new patients have all their paperwork completed prior to stepping into the office which makes the whole appointment run smoothly!

Not much.  It can be tricky to change who the texts go for parents of kids.

Go for it!  We used Revenuewell and felt nickel and dimed.  I love that what you say is what you get with Modento.

Sometimes patients find it difficult to use but we have an older patient base who can be technologically challenged.    The benefits of Modento is a smoothly run office!
