I like the fact that Densify gathers CloudWatch metrics and then uses their engine to analyze CPU/Memory usage and ensures that we are using the appropriate instance type based on those needs. Densify has also worked with me for customization of our account to allow for some business specific needs. There are some features that would be beneficial, especially the ability to "snooze" recommendations based on a period of time. The product is excellent at providing complete and detailed recommendations to rightsize various cloud instances. However, my experience with their account team has been the most beneficial as we have needed some specialized reports, and they immediately sprinted to getting them in their roadmap. The downside of Densify is the loading of their UI. It tends to be unresponsive or has a long latency. We have mainly switched our use to focus on the API and creating our UI endpoint for customers. Can breakdown utilization figures of different components of your hosts to extreme detail; analyse trends easily to optimise infrastructure and plan for future demand.

Densify uses actual historical data of workloads to establish a model for each workload and works out the optimum resources needed to run that workload. Using the Densify models, you can right-size the workloads and get more efficient placement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Much of the data generated is presented in the GUI and not really available outside the GUI. It is also not easy to look at views of data at specific points in time because Densify is focused on what the current position is and how that will trend in the future. The most underrated and most useful feature is the reporting capabilities. We haven't found any other tools that can give us the level of granularity in reporting that can aggregate multiple vCenters, multiple AWS accounts, multiple Azure subscriptions all in one place. Also the ability to slice and dice filters and views based on any attribute (OS, utilization, custom tags, cluster, owner, etc) makes this a go-to for questions regarding inventory, utilization, or cost. The UI can be a bit sluggish. It's improved over time, but I still find myself waiting for several seconds (or longer if it's a large report) for a screen to come up. To be fair, we do have an extremely large number of nodes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I liked Densify as it provides an excellent platform for users or organizations to have cloud services with machine learning analytics in it.
