Denodo is best at creating a data virtualization layer caching and linking data between data source storage and end user data virtualization software. This software tool is especially brilliant when it comes to compatibility with various databases and file formats. Furthermore, it can quickly spin up a RESTful endpoint for data retrieval in different response data formats. Finally, Denodo also provides other web tools including the data catalog and diagnostic & monitoring tool which are both great supporting tools to manage the data that is being shared with the community and end users. The limitation on community Denodo Express restricts the user to only a single administrator account which disables the properly of permission-based data access. This capability is rather important for deciding which user or groups is able to discover and gain access to a particular dataset. Meanwhile, with a single admin account, there is not much one can do to try out the multiple users and roles access control. Many of my dislikes we resolved with the 5.5 release. There are a few opportunities for automation as the number of servers grow, and integration between Denodo and other programs or scripting languages, though robust, is not as versatile as I would like.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
