I enjoy being able to favorite the hubs I frequent the most, especially being in an administrative role. Regardless, being able to have search functionality within the sidebar is great as well. We have been able to create some great things with the flexibility and customization that the software has to offer, whether it's a hub, field, or elevating a current process. The fact it's (almost) completely browser-based is awesome, too! **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** One major change from Vision is Clients and Vendors being combined. This has been a pain point with our users who are in charge of data entry. While customization is mostly open across the board, there are small things you'd think would be added. Definitely needs some modifications **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025 **What do you like best about Deltek Vantagepoint?** It seems to be fairly use friendly for staff to add their time to projects. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** Payment allocation changes is horrible, some reports are difficult to setup and support seems limited, you can't do GL subcategories, client billing terms setup should be more streamlined (drop-down selection), can't void a labor write-off if there was no billed time (invoice), sometimes labor rates change on the invoice but not the labor detail report which creates discrepancies in labor amounts if you don't remember to refresh billing extensions, when you void an invoice and repost one, you need to do it in separate batches for correct outstanding invoices at the bottom of the invoice or the voided invoice will show as outstanding, selecting default font and size in the comments doesn't always change the font, so I have to manually adjust fonts and sizes to see if it matches the rest of the comments. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is good at tracking labor utilization and tracking multiple projects for one client. **Official Response from Amy Brennan:** > Thank you for sharing your experience with Deltek Vantagepoint. The workflows for time and expense can feel clunky and overly rigid, making simple tasks take longer than they should. An example would be adding a supervisor who can reopen a time or expense; adding a new supervisor is a miserable process. Invoice approvals need an option for multi-level approvals to reflect real-world approval chains better.
