**What do you like best about Default?**

Default made it way easier for us to manage PLG lead routing without duct-taping everything together. We replaced a 99-step Zapier flow with a single workflow builder that handles routing logic, enrichment, assignment, and custom Slack notifications. 

It also made it simple to define what a PQL is (for us, company size thresholds) and route those signups directly to the right rep.

It also connected with all the systems that we needed it to and let us match at the lead and account level in Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Default?**

Honestly, not much so far. I would say because there are so many things you can do with Default, there can be a bit of a learning curve, but I've found that with any workflow builder.

**What problems is Default solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Routing PLG leads without breaking our systems
We were running PLG signups through a 99-step Zapier flow that couldn’t handle nuance or edge cases. Every tweak potentially broke the zap, and we were constantly debugging it. 

Fixing Salesforce + HubSpot syncing for our motion
Because we started sales-led, our Salesforce + HubSpot setup wasn’t designed for freemium/PLG signups. Native integrations didn’t work for our requirements (Lead + Account creation, dedupe prevention, rep alignment). Default helped us automate the full workflow between HubSpot and Salesforce for PLG

**What do you like best about Default?**

I find their team somewhat responsive, and I suppose the queues are decently good to use. Also, for routing, that works pretty well.

**What do you dislike about Default?**

It's missing so many table stakes features. The form can hardly be customized, and the custom forms are incredibly difficult to use if not impossible as a non-developer. The integrations with HubSpot is very limited, and there are very few other integrations available. The workflow tool itself isn't very user-friendly, and you can't do custom routing based on the scheduler. The pricing and billing management are not very transparent. The software is quite tedious to use with a copious amount of bugs. The contacts, dashboards, and reporting features are extremely limited, and there's no pipeline reporting. The documentation is somewhat helpful but also very limited.

The only value Default provides is enabling one workflow that are tricky with HubSpot.

**What do you like best about Default?**

The workflow builder looks nice but is not effective in telling you in the logs why your 5 user company is going to your enterprise rep when it shouldn't be doing that.

**What do you dislike about Default?**

I moved from Chili Piper to Default thinking it would be a major upgrade, sold on all the shiny AI bells and whistles, tight Apollo integration, and promises of a hands-on success team to guide us to success.

None of it delivered.

We’ve had routing issues from day one, and now we’re four months in still trying to get things working. The “AI features” were mostly vaporware or half-baked, and the support team has been reactive at best not proactive or strategic like we were promised.

Don’t move to Default until the product is actually built and reliable. Right now, it feels like we’ve been beta testing a platform that just isn’t ready.

Easy to use workflow builder, easy incorporation of AI tools, and central lead routing system that can connect with just about everything else you'll be using for GTM workflows. It takes a lot of the clunkiness of Clay workflows and makes them faster and easier to update. Customer support has also been great.

**What do you dislike about Default?**

Takes a lot of front-loaded work to get the workflows production ready. For example, the workflow builder doesn't allow for copy/paste or templates for frequently used modules.

I like how Default makes it very easy to quickly set up new routing workflows and decision trees in a no-code manner. Without writing a line of code, we can set up an equal round robin routing effortlessly. The initial setup was incredibly easy, and the success team was very helpful.

Nothing at this point - great team and solution!

I use Default to round-robin leads and new customers to the correct account managers. It makes setting up new routing workflows and decision trees easy with no code needed, streamlining the process.

We had some issues when we first switched off ChiliPiper a year and a half ago, but it was all addressed by the team and the product has evolved a lot since then. Haven't looked back for many months.

Default handles everything from inbound orchestration and meeting scheduling to all types of lead and account routing. As a RevOps professional, I honestly can't imagine managing my work without it.

I dont think there are many good features about default at all.

**What do you dislike about Default?**

It is not very user friendly. I am very well versed in automation tools like n8n and clay.com however there way of doing workflows is extremely strange. To complete 1 workflow you need to use multiple different independent workflows and string them together in a siloed manner.

Their integrations are extremely limited, only plugging in with the most basic and low quality databases like apollo.io

Everytime I need to build out the most simple workflow I have to get on a call with their team, and for them they dont even know how to do it, because its just that hard to use the tool.

Styling functionalities are extremely limited, and everyones forms look exactly the same. I would recommend save your money and avoid this tool.

Default has been very helpful in the collection of website visitors and turning them into inbound MQL's with enriched data. Default integrates directly with our CRM as well as our outreach toolkit, allowing for a seamless data flow and ensuring no leads slip through untouched.

I haven't come across anything that has been disruptive to our workflow.

Defualt automates the collectiona and routing of inbound leads from our website, funneling them directly to our Sales team for outreach. This saves all manual tracking and even saves us time on enriching data.

As easy as copying & pasting a link to share with customers to book time with you whenever -- uploads directly to & automatically works around your google calendar (or whatever calendar platform you use)

I LOVE default but wish there was a better "tutorial" for how I can leverage the entire platform for my specific role (this could be an improvement to be made by my own company however)

It takes the headache out of inbound scheduling and qualification. We're able to set qualification parameters so if someone signs up and meets our ICP, they can instantly book a meeting with a sales rep, eliminating the back and forth and saving us hours. 

Plus, the way it integrates with our existing tools like Hubspot and Slack makes the whole process feel seamless. Our inbound conversion rate went up significantly thanks to Default!

**What do you dislike about Default?**

There can be a learning curve when first setting up the platform, particularly with configuring more advanced workflows. Their CX team has been amazing and always gets back to us quickly, but it would be helpful if there were more in-depth tutorials or templates to make it as easy as possible to get started.

Default is solving the problem of manual, time-consuming inbound scheduling and qualification. Before Default, our team spent a lot of time coordinating meetings and ensuring that leads met our ICP criteria, which often led to delays and missed opportunities. With Default, we've automated the entire process—qualification happens instantly, and qualified leads can book meetings without any back-and-forth. This has saved us countless hours, allowing our team to focus on higher-impact tasks, and has significantly improved our inbound conversion rate.

Our entire inbound engine runs on default.com, and we can't seem to imagine why anyone would not use this as a core tool in the marketing/sales stack!

The product fixes every possible problem you could imagine when handling inbounds -  be it qualification, routing or tracking. Additionally, the fact that the entire product is plug-and-play makes endless customization a breeze. What used to take us hours in our inbound management process, now takes us seconds to achieve:)

Moving from a completely manual inbound process to default.com, especially when experiencing hypergrowth definitely helped us scale in the right way.

Default has a great process to build unique flows that go beyond just calendar booking. Sure, they do that. But they're also a data integrator. Think Lean Data mixed with Chili Piper mixed with Clay all wrapped up in one solution.

Not much to dislike. They're early, so there are some features I'd love. But, they also listen to customers so well and prioritize the right things based on our feedback.

I love being able to have personal meeting links for individuals across a number of different teams and those meeting links being very easily accessible for anyone that may need them. Default helps keep things organized for easy access!

The integration with gmail was a little confusing at first.

It is not just the calendar booking, you can setup workflows based off a bunch of different triggers and use that to make enrichments, edits, create new objects.

Very easy to get in and started. workflows are pretty straight foward.

Because it is a newer product and small team they are lacking in some of the smaller UX items you might need but the team is working on all that quickly.

Really easy to set up an inbound lead workflow. Default allows you to route leads based on form input and enrichment by other tools like Clearbit and Apollo. Follow-up mails, notification and CRM integrations mean that we no longer need to stitch 5 tools together to get the job done.
Customer support is quick and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Default?**

The error messages in the workflow log are sometimes hard to decipher without a technical background.

**What problems is Default solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Default reduces friction on the lead it's side, since info, availability and booking the meeting is all embedded in the same flow. 
For us it means that we don't have to use different tools for these parts, or manually check who has availability and email back and forth with the lead to plan a meeting.

There is almost nothing Default can't do when it comes to top of funnel workflows. On top of that, their reps and support team are top notch and so excited to help us see success.

I love not having to manually send out Calendly links in sequences or emails, and then determine who to route the lead to. With a one-time setup, we can easily route leads more efficiently and leverage the tool for all of our inbound sales leads.

I see no downsides of using Default. Any sales team (regardless of size) can benefit from the automation and ease of use.

Before Default we would use Asana to manually track and route leads for outreach and conversation. Now with Default's Slack integration, we can easily track an inbound lead, see that a sequence has been kicked off and understand when the meeting has been booked... AUTOMATICALLY!

Default replaces the need to buy multiple tools (data enrichment, lead routing, automated demo scheduling, automated workflows) and makes life far easier than attempting to handle multiple integrations across your RevOps data. It's easy to get going and you can build as complicated as you so choose.

We get a bug here and there but the CS team is SUPER responsive and crushes bugs on the spot.

Attempting to purchase & integrate multiple tools to have lead data enrichment, have those leads schedule a demo, and then route those leads where they need to go is hard. Default takes that, wraps it into a single easy-to-use product. It saves me time in both setup and continual management of our RevOps setup while also coming in a super competitive price.

Most helpful thing for us about Default was being able to get going with the need for any technical support or engineering time. We swapped the link on our website over to our Default form, and were pushing leads into Hubspot in minutes.

Defaut is a startup and as a result there are some things that needed time from Default to help setup. These were not dealbreakers and Default's support team has been extremely responsive.

I like how Default allows us to pass leads directly off to the approprate sales team member's calendar.  It solves issue of leads requesting a demo and then needing to be handed off manually.

Need more customization options for the emails sent from Default - I want these to look fully branded like they come from my company; currently there isn't that option. Also the tool looks intuitive until you start to use it. CS team is pretty responsive to help fix bugs that pop up.

Routing leads to the correct sales person immediately to hopefully increase conversion rates from our website, and demo request > SQL.
