**What do you like best about Deel HR?**

What I value most about Deel is its payment transparency. As a contractor, being able to see exactly how much I’ll receive before a payment is processed—along with a clear breakdown of fees and conversion rates—removes a lot of the uncertainty I’ve run into on other platforms. There’s no guessing and no surprises on payday.

The payroll flow is also fairly straightforward once you get used to it, but I’ll be honest: the platform does have a learning curve, and some sections aren’t immediately intuitive for new users. Still, once I understood the layout, managing my compensation became much easier. The fact that I haven’t needed to contact support at all feels like a good sign, since the platform has handled the process reliably enough that issues simply haven’t come up.

**What do you dislike about Deel HR?**

The biggest pain point I’ve experienced is how the platform handles contract updates and the way those changes affect payment cycles. When my contract was updated, I wasn’t given clear guidance on what steps to take to make sure my payment schedule adjusted correctly, and my payments ended up arriving late. The overall process felt confusing, and it wasn’t obvious what I needed to do on my end versus what Deel or my employer would handle automatically. For something as critical as payroll timing, the platform should offer clearer, step-by-step instructions whenever a contract change is made, or at least notify all parties about how the update will impact upcoming payments. This is an area where the UX could be improved significantly.

**What problems is Deel HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Deel, getting paid in foreign currency by U.S.-based employers was a real barrier for me. Receiving international payments involved multiple intermediary steps, and platforms like Wise or Payoneer added friction and uncertainty to each transaction. Deel solved this by centralizing the entire payment flow—I now receive my salary directly to my preferred digital wallet in a streamlined, predictable way.

The biggest impact is that working remotely for U.S. companies has become genuinely viable for me as a contractor based in Colombia. I no longer have to worry about the logistics of cross-border payments, which means I can focus entirely on delivering quality work. For anyone in Latin America looking to work with North American companies, Deel removes one of the most significant practical barriers to making that happen. Onboarding is also very easy.

**What do you like best about Deel HR?**

It’s very user-friendly. I can add my bank accounts or transfer to PayPal, and I’m able to see what my next payment will be. I can also schedule my time off through Deel, which is great, and view my coworkers and invoices all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Deel HR?**

The fees might be a bit too high, but once I send my money, it arrives quickly, and I can also track the process. That’s pretty much the only thing I dislike.

**What problems is Deel HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything is in one place: I can submit my hours, view my payments, and check my holidays, invoices, and time off without jumping between different sections. When I receive bonuses, they show up instantly as well. I can also get a virtual debit card, or even a physical card, which I think is a huge help.

I’ve been using Deel as a freelancer working with Volga Partners LLC, and my experience has been excellent. The platform brings everything I need into one place—contracts, compliance documentation, invoicing, and payroll—which saves me a lot of time and cuts down on unnecessary back-and-forth.

The payroll process is smooth, transparent, and consistently reliable. I especially value the clear breakdown of payments and tax documents, along with the ability to track everything in real time. That level of visibility gives me confidence and financial clarity each month.

On top of the essentials, the extra features and benefits available through the platform are a major plus. Deel doesn’t feel like just a payroll tool; it feels more like a complete HR ecosystem designed for modern, global collaboration. As a user, Deel is very simple while still being complete. I can easily understand everything that’s happening, review my contracts, and handle requests like time off or reimbursements. It’s really amazing.

So far, I have no complaints. It has been very useful and offers a complete set of features.

I’m a Brazilian software engineer working for a company based in another country. Brazilian laws can be very bureaucratic and difficult to deal with, and Deel handles this middle ground really well. I love how reliable and easy to use Deel is. The platform is very user-friendly, and I can manage my money in several different ways; either by spending it directly with the Deel card or by transferring it to my local bank account. Deel has been an excellent tool for me ever since I started using it to receive payments for my freelance work.

**What do you dislike about Deel HR?**

I don’t really have any complaints about the platform. The only thing I’d love to see improved is the ability to transfer money to my local bank account instantly, instead of having to wait one or two days. That said, I understand that sending money across different countries takes time. And whenever I can’t-or simply don’t want to-wait, I can just move my funds to the Deel card and use them right away. Overall, there’s really not much to dislike about Deel.

I can receive the money I earn from my remote freelance interpreter work while living in another country, and then either transfer it directly to my local bank account or use the Deel card. This wouldn’t be possible without Deel.

What I like most is how easy it is to receive money in my local bank account. Also, having my Deel Digital makes it very simple to pay anywhere, anytime, as long as there’s a card reader, which is super convenient.

I’d say the app could be better when it comes to expense submissions. A couple of times, I’ve had to submit expense reimbursements more than once before they showed up properly and were reflected correctly. Other than that, I really love the app.

I really like the user experience of Deel HR. It's nice and pretty straightforward, which makes it easy to use. It doesn't feel like you're struggling while using it. When I signed up myself, the process was pretty straightforward and didn't take a lot of loops to put through.

**What do you dislike about Deel HR?**

At times, there are multiple payment transfer options, but the difference between them isn't really clear. For example, there can be options that seem 90% similar to each other and could be charging the same exact transaction fees. Yet, there's some difference, like one mentions something specific and the other doesn't. But the time it'll take to make the transfer and the transaction fee remain the same, so you don't really know what the difference might be, and you end up guessing. More elaboration on these options would be a good improvement.

It has a really great UX, and everything is in one place. The verification was completed in under 10 minutes, and I was able to sign the contract in about 10 minutes as well. Another really cool thing is that you can configure multiple withdrawal options, like crypto, bank, USD, etc

I don’t particularly dislike any features overall. However, the UX is really bad when creating expenses from an invoice. Managing expenses also feels a bit weird, because some of the filter options don’t really make sense. Aside from those issues, I still think this is the best product for Core HR

**What problems is Deel HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can complete transactions regardless of the currency. I just add my bank details and click withdraw, it’s that simple. Earlier, I had to raise an invoice and then wait for the payment to reach my bank account. In Deel, everything feels streamlined, from raising the invoice to completing the transaction. And there aren’t any convenience fees or extra charges which is really great!

I like it user interface, intuitive approach of navigation between tabs and easy to follow steps when creating a new contract or adding/deleting a member of the team. I use very often to onboard or off-board team members, and for my own personal use it's quite light and easy. I also love that transfers and withdrawals usually take a few minutes to receive which is awesome!

Sometimes it is difficult to reach customer service representative directly and most questions are answered by AI agent, and if there is something that is not in FAQ section, it's quite time consuming to find a support email and then write an email instead of just submitting a ticket in the app.

It solves problems like managing the payroll of employees that are dispersed internationally, and using Deel HR is very comfortable to stay compliant and also pay to the team members on time. It includes pretty much everything you need for worldwide hiring/payroll includig immigration visa/permits with their legal team as an uprade package.

Some integrations or automations can be hard without having very high admin permissions, which reveals sensitive data across the company, so it's not easy to set up things like "Slack notification for OOO starting/ending" via looking at the company holiday/OOO calendar in Deel.

Some of the features like the feedback survey/HR related perfromance review tasks, aren't very seamless as the form submission is sometimes clunky to use.

the registering process was a bit annoying, it was asking documents that were not relevant to my administrative status, but I was able to sort it out by chatting with their assistance. There's also a lot of options & views, sometimes it's a bit hard to remember where I can see my invoices for example, especially with the mobile view being different from web view

I don't have to worry about making invoices and being paid and receiving money from my abroad employer. I just need to say what I worked on and how many days, and everything else is automatic. No more making the invoices and sending emails to HR

What I like the most is the simplicity and ease of use. The platform is very intuitive, everything is clear, and it doesn’t feel overloaded with unnecessary steps. It saves a lot of time in everyday HR and admin tasks.
I also really appreciate the focus on security and compliance — it gives confidence that contracts, payments, and personal data are handled safely and professionally.

So far, I haven’t encountered any major issues or downsides. Everything has been working smoothly for me.

Deel makes remote work much easier by handling the legal and administrative side of working with international companies. As a freelancer, it’s extremely convenient because Deel takes care of contracts, compliance, and payments.

Previous Response: The biggest advantage is how simple it makes receiving international payments. The platform is clean, easy to navigate, and transparent about payment timelines and fees. What I really like is how much time it saves and how quickly payments arrive. I also appreciate how easy it is to get support, along with the variety of options available for depositing my payments. It works well with Hubstaff, and we use it every day to track our work. Love its implementation with other softwares!

I think there are a few details that could be improved. For example, the integration with some benefits didn’t really work as expected, and in some cases the benefits listed on Deel either didn’t fit or weren’t actually offered.

It allows us to have the org chart in order and visible to all employees from the very beginning. It makes simple for employees to file their taxes.

I really appreciated the onboarding meeting, where they answered our questions and helped us navigate the system. I’ve worked with many bank apps, and most of them leave the user on their own, searching online for tutorials. The Deel HR representative was very kind and did his best to make the transition a smooth and positive experience.

So far, I’ve never had to contact them about any issues because I haven’t had any. Still, the fact that I’m writing this product rating right now makes me feel like they genuinely care about the customer experience. I trust that they’ll be there if and when I need them.

Although the platform is largely automated, customer support can be slow to respond at times, especially during peak payroll periods. When I have a more complex local compliance question, it may take a few days to receive a thorough reply from a human expert rather than just the initial AI bot response.

**What do you like best about Deel HR?**

There wasn't much to like; we had a genuinely poor experience.

**What do you dislike about Deel HR?**

I had a terrible experience with Deel HR, and specifically with Deel PEO. We started with them on February 1, 2025. Our U.S. employees didn't get their promised health coverage on time, which was concerning. Some employees lacked access even a month after the expected start date, and someone went to the ER only to find out they had no coverage. Even by July, accessing certain benefits information was still tough, and we faced issues with 401(k) deposits. Deel also did not disclose that they were changing their PEO backend during the sales process. This lack of transparency caused confusion and forced us to go through open enrollment multiple times in a short period.   They also severely mishandled a termination. We had to delay an employee termination we had initiated on the platform earlier in the week. Despite notifying the Deel team about the need for delay through multiple channels the day prior to the originally planned termination, the employee was sent an automated termination notice, forcing our team to proceed with the termination late in the evening.  The platform was glitchy and inflexible, and workflows changed often. Many support cases went unresolved for weeks, and we had to follow up multiple times. Deel's internal records and employees often contradicted each other. It didn't integrate well with other tools, and the initial setup was challenging due to inconsistent support from the implementation manager.

We switched to Deel HR to unify systems and improve employee self-service options, addressing the issue of disparate and outdated systems.

It’s the easiest tool for helping the company track and pay employees. It also makes it easy for us to keep all the paperwork organized and up to date, including contracts and payment invoices, so everything stays on track.

The only thing I’d really like to see adjusted is the withdrawal fee, although I don’t think that’s directly related to Deel HR itself.

The adjustments we have been seeing have caused delays in approval and in having those changes reflected on the invoices. They are working to make the process faster and to show the adjustments more clearly on the invoices, so employees can easily see the new balance on their invoices and in their wallet, in a better organized and more structured way.

I like the efficiency and the speed when using Deel HR, especially when transferring money from account to account. It's really quick, even when transferring my salary to my Deel card or to my local account. The process is very seamless and I’m impressed. I also appreciate that I haven't experienced any problems when using my Deel account, and the setup was quite easy, only taking about five minutes.

I think what could be improved is the layout of certain features such as obtaining a statement because some features are not easily accessible. It takes time for me to actually get my Deel statement for the purposes of submitting it somewhere. Some features appear to be embedded within other features, making them hard to access.

I use Deel HR for receiving my salary and purchasing things easily with efficiency. It's quick in transferring money, which I find impressive.

I really appreciate how Deel HR is straightforward and has simplified the work for the company, making both me and the company happy. It was very easy for me as a user to set everything up, just following some simple instructions along with my contractor's details. I also used Deel HR with Wise and a European bank account, both of which integrated well together. Additionally, it solved the issue of not knowing how to deal with international bureaucracy, which was a big help.

I believe that their app and website are very laggy, that I do not appreciate. Also, they push 'early payouts' options way too much, which I think are predatory practices and a bad thing to offer as a payment company.

Deel is very easy to use and straightforward, with almost no learning curve. Everything feels clear from the start, both for companies and contractors. It offers multiple payout options and strong bank coverage, so getting paid from the U.S. to almost anywhere in the world is simple. The Deel Card, both digital and physical, is a big plus—it gives flexibility and control over how and when to use your money.

The only downside is that payouts can sometimes take longer compared to other platforms like Global66, where transfers may arrive the same day.

I love that Deel HR allows me to receive my salary from another country in a safe and timely manner, and I can easily access my receipts. What I like most is the platform and the tracking panel; it's really easy to do the withdrawal and track it, plus it's fast. I'm also pleased that it's not just about receiving money; I can request PTO days, check the vacation schedule of others, and access a lot of HR information. Setting up was pretty simple, my boss just sent me a link to create my account and join the company space.

I would love to see more discounts for the users, but only that haha its a really great platform

It was very easy to create and set my account on Deel. Also, it was a very smooth transfer of the funds to my bank account. It took 1 day, and the exchange rate was adequate.

There was a commission or fee that I didn´t know about untill I wanted to transfer the funds to my bank account. I will have to check if this fee is fixed or if this is a % of the funds to transfer.

It helps my supervisors on how to manage the VAs working with them as contractors. It works for my payroll and manage the HR side (everything from PTO to transfer the funds to my personal account)

**What do you like best about Deel HR?**

An all-in-one platform with built-in compliance support and strong contractor management. It also makes global hiring easy, and the interface is user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Deel HR?**

Customer support has been inconsistent, and the overall support experience hasn’t been great. Customisation options feel limited, and the pricing is expensive for what you get. I’ve also run into occasional bugs, including payroll-related issues. On top of that, there’s friction in the document and workflow process, which makes everyday tasks feel more cumbersome than they should.

**What problems is Deel HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance and legal risk can be a real concern, and there is still too much manual HR work involved. Hiring people in different countries is also hard to manage.

Benefits: it creates a better experience for workers, helps reduce costs, lowers stress and risk, saves a massive amount of time, and gives better visibility and control.
