What do you like best about Dayforce?

This software provides you with a plethora of user management tools like HR, Payroll and Capital management etc. It also saves time by giving us a seamless experience managing our workforce and reaources the best feature i liked about the software is that it enables the employees to mangae common-Self and hence increasing theor productivity and help them overcoming their time management barriers. What do you dislike about Dayforce?

Not able to carve a niche among its competitors there are other products available as well in the market such as hubstaff which are cabale im giving more than ceridian within the same cost. Hence, overall it is a good product fit for our use however could be improved if doesn't involves the cost factor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

Please go for this product if you have a large operations team and less people in manegerial roles. Perfect for SMALL TO MEDIUM Sized Companies and for startups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are solving a multitude of problems with ceridian dayforce. like Payroll managembet employee management work and task force allocations , Idea meeting And user research management it also helps us to drive our HR team with Core HR duties and responsibilities. What do you like best about Dayforce?

Great for managing availability, such as requests for time off, shift swaps and give seats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

Having a system which services all our HR, payroll and performance management needs in one place. It means that we have one source of data, which helps us to manage our headcount and allows managers to view accurate data on their teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

The LMS system is managed through a third party and we have experienced some challenges with the system, however, we can't fault the service we receive to manage the issues as they arise. We are still experiencing some problems with the annual leave entitlement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

My advice would be to appoint a good internal project manager to work with the Ceridian project team and to plan time into your BAU schedule to ensure you have the resources to meet the project plan and schedule.

I would also ensure your data is accurate before you transfer it to the new system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having one source of data has been an issue for us for a long time and providing management information to our line managers was a lengthy manual process. Our managers are now able to access data through the dashboards, which is a great added benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

I like the user-friendly functionality of Dayforce. As a user I like being able to see my accrued vacation/PTO in realtime. I also like the ability to view and print my check stubs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

As a user there are any areas of Dayforce that I necessarily dislike. It's simple and multifunctional. I was even able to print my W2 from the portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?

The benefits I've realized with Dayforce is the ability to view my PTO bank as well as payroll information. I can also update my W4 information via the portal which is wonderful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

The software is intuitive and pretty easy to use, especially for employees. For administrators, it really helps to manage the entire employee life cycle and all of the information you need is right at your fingertips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

If you have to do any type of development that requires interacting with "Professional Services" - add a new legal entity, create a file feed or interface, troubleshoot a custom report, etc - be prepared to have your time wasted. I have found this service to be slow, bureaucratic, inconsistent and just something I would like to avoid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?

The talent modules (Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation) are very easy to use and have the functions to meet our business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dayforce?

Overall, the tool works well. However, there are some areas for improvement:

Security Design: Location Access is set at the user level instead of the role level, so that limits the control you have over what is displayed. The tool is setup with a retail-like setting in mind, so if you have multiple departments at one location, the Location Access approach does not really work.

Reporting: The Reporting tool is good, but we frequently have to go to Dayforce Support for help to get the coding just right. There is not a good delivered employee data change report, so this was a big issue for us. Additionally, report distribution is not very robust. For example, you can't send a report to a distribution group or email or shared drive. All of these would be very helpful improvements.

Workflows: These are surprisingly challenging to setup correctly, and many forms you would expect are not available or need customization. For example, the delivered bonus form will not route to the manager for approval and it displays the bonus on on the timesheet - not an ideal way for an employee to find out that they are getting a bonus. Getting a bonus form that routes for manager approval costs $2800 and even then it will not route directly to the payroll module for pay. It has to be manually entered by a payroll admin. Similarly, there can only be one workflow attached to an Internal Candidate Hire workflow so if you have a complex business approval process, you have a problem. Finally, you cannot add ad hoc approvers on a one off basis. We had this functionality in our old system and miss it. Oddly, the workflow in Recruiting is much better, so hopefully the people that designed that will fix HR.

We have logged lots of product enhancement suggestions, so hopefully over the next few years we will see improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:

Be sure to compare all of your requirements with the demonstrated functionality. Make sure that the sales team demonstrates that they can do what you need, particularly the hard scenarios. Record the meetings so that you have backup if the implementation team finds that they cannot meet the requirements.

We purchased the Pre-Project Transition Consulting, the Training Consultant and the Client-Side Project Management Consultant. In retrospect, we did not see value in any of these. I would instead recommend hiring a third party consulting firm to assist you and to be your advocate during the project. We did this half way through, and it was worth every penny, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dayforce?
