"Good RMM with a lot of Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

Have been heavily working on monitoring and auto-installation automation this time around. Been making the effort to do so a lot easier then doing it manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

Integration can be a little tiresome as it takes time to be sure everything is setup correctly. Once setup though can make things easier. Agent reliability could be improved as well. Sometimes they stop working for an undisclosed reason with no way to determine what caused it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Core MSP Solution with Endless Possibilities Through Custom Components"
5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

Alongside Autotask, this is one of the best solutions we use. It’s a core part of our MSP offering, and we also rely on it in our IT Services offering. Being able to create your own components opens up so many possibilities and gives us a lot of flexibility. We also resell this product to end clients, and I genuinely enjoy onboarding them. It’s the product I’m most enthusiastic about. Customer support is great, and getting help is straightforward thanks to the built-in support access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

It needs a better ad-hoc support agent. Right now, we sometimes have to use Windows' built-in Remote Assistance because the on-demand agent can take a long time to connect—or may not connect at all—while we still have the end client on the line.

It would also be helpful to have a built-in, up-to-date walkthrough that guides users on how to help the end client add the correct permissions on a Mac so that the agent can work. For example, a quick guide to identify which macOS version the client is using and then the appropriate procedure to walk the end client through enabling the necessary access. Maybe even include a link to a picture-based guide for the end client.

Also, maybe a self-service portal to download the ad-hoc agent that can be integrated into our website, with some form of security that would allow the technical resource to instruct the end client to go to our site, click a button, enter a code or a rotating PIN, and then receive the download link along with setup instructions and screenshots. "Custom Components Shine, Setup and Navigation Hiccups"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

I really like the ability to create custom components in Datto RMM, such as custom PowerShell scripts, which are great for gathering information. Running automated jobs is a nice feature, and it works really well. I can schedule a job and export results to a UDM efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

I sometimes have issues with Webremote. We access Datto RMM through KaseyaOne and it opens lots of new windows and tabs which can be annoying. The Agent Browser isn't reliable. It sometimes struggles to connect to machines I know are online. The integration with KaseyaOne and AutoTask is all very messy. The initial setup took months of work and was difficult. "Reliable Remote Monitoring with Intuitive UI and Strong Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

Datto RMM is very strong for remote monitoring and management of client environments. It provides reliable device visibility, automated patch management, scripting capabilities, and alerting that helps proactively identify and resolve issues before they become major problems. The interface is also fairly intuitive compared to other RMM tools, and it integrates well with other MSP platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

Some advanced configurations and scripting workflows can take time to learn, especially for newer technicians. There can also be occasional delays or noise in alerting if policies aren’t tuned properly, which requires ongoing refinement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Patching and remote access is quick and simple with Datto RMM"
5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

Datto's patch management has simplified the process of keeping our customers' systems up to date and in compliance with their regulations and cybersecurity needs. The reporting of patching status is simple and easy to use, and the integration with AutoTask makes resolving patching issues more seamless with automatic ticket raising.

The Web Remote tools are also very useful. The tool is quick and responsive, along with the AutoTask and IT Glue integration within the tool, the process of remotely supporting devices is easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

The UI can take some getting used to when implementing the system for new users, with the multiple embedded pages and subsections, it can also require multiple clicks to complete a task, an example of this would be checking active policies for a site,. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Datto RMM’s Password Injection and Web Remote Make Support Fast and Seamless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

What I like best about Datto RMM is the seamless password injection feature and the built-in Web Remote functionality. Password injection saves a lot of time during admin access by securely entering credentials without exposing them to end users. The Web Remote, especially alongside Splashtop, provides reliable, fast remote access directly from the browser, making support efficient and convenient without needing additional tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

verall, Datto RMM works well for our day-to-day MSP operations and is generally reliable. However, the Network Discovery feature could be improved. It can be inconsistent in identifying devices accurately, lacks deeper visibility, and sometimes requires manual intervention to properly classify and onboard discovered assets. "Intuitive, Easy-to-Navigate, Remote Tools That Work as Expected"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

I use RMM daily, it has an Intuitive interface, easy to navigate and manage, remote tools work as expected. Is a really solid RMM tool.

Customer support has been good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

Web Remote/remote access tools are not quite as good as Screenconnect (responsiveness, stability); some metrics are questionably accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized, Automated Endpoint Management Made Easy with Datto RMM"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

What I like best about Datto RMM is the centralized management and automation capabilities. It makes it much easier to monitor devices, deploy software, automate maintenance tasks, and remotely support endpoints across multiple client environments from a single platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

Certain scripting and policy configurations can take time to fully understand, and there are occasional issues with agent reliability or delayed device updates. Some areas of the interface could also be modernized to improve workflow efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good and Bad with RMM software from Datto"
0.5/5
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

Attach scripts with installation files.

Permissions based on what team members can see. Ideal when internal computers should not be visible to team members.

Update a policy and push out at ones to affected computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

Since Autotask was taken over by Datto, investment in the product went.

Likewise when Kaseya took over Datto, it's now contract driven. From 1 year contracts to 3 year contracts. Didn't help if you want to drop licensing you are forced on lengthy contracts. As a result we moved away as N-Able has better licensing on this month to month.

Now updating other software is additional licensing, N-Able have this built in.

Why I moved? I had no remote support working 16 days in a month. No sorry, no compensation. Instead, buy more products and services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
