The user interface makes it easy to manage AV/EDR across multiple customers, and overall it feels straightforward to use day to day. **What do you dislike about Datto AV?** When we first took on the product, the support from Datto/Kaseya was very poor. Response times were slow, and that gradually reduced our confidence in the product. Over the past 12 months, things have improved. **What problems is Datto AV solving and how is that benefiting you?** A single pane of glass for AV/EDR across all our customers. With most products, you have to manage everything through a central server or across different tenants, but we don’t run into that with Datto AV. The EDR side of the product is good, however the AV engine seems very basic. ### 3. There are plenty of antivirus products that detect malware. What makes Datto AV interesting is how tightly it integrates with the broader Datto/Kaseya ecosystem. **What do you dislike about Datto AV?** It is not a complete endpoint security platform by itself This is my biggest concern. Datto AV is fundamentally an antivirus product. Modern threats increasingly require: * Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) * Managed Detection & Response (MDR) * Threat hunting * Behavioral analytics * Incident response Datto AV becomes significantly stronger when paired with Datto EDR, but on its own it is not a complete endpoint security strategy. **What problems is Datto AV solving and how is that benefiting you?** Malware infections on employee devices Problem: Endpoints remain one of the most common entry points for cyberattacks. Malware, trojans, ransomware, and malicious scripts can disrupt operations and compromise sensitive information. Keeps a majority of issues from creeping in. We have it on all the devices. It is part of the software stack that gets deployed.
