I really like Datarails' integration with QuickBooks Online (QBO), which allows me to customize reports and drill down into more detailed analyses. I also enjoy the month-over-month variance analysis capabilities and the ability to integrate with Gusto, our labor platform, to develop comprehensive labor hours graphs, including direct, PTO, and overtime hours. Furthermore, the initial setup of Datarails was very easy, thanks to the excellent support provided by Ayelet, who was instrumental in getting me up to speed quickly and efficiently. I am frustrated that many features aren't available in our current plan, which limits our ability to fully utilize Datarails. Additionally, we are restricted to only having 5 licenses, which can be a limitation for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Datarails because it allows me to work directly within Excel, making it easier to view data from my accounting ERP without having to download and manually map reports. I find the ability to drill down into underlying data within Excel really convenient. Additionally, the customer service is excellent and very helpful, which made the initial setup worth the time investment. As an early-stage business that’s still “excel-native,” I really appreciate the flexibility Datarails gives me to build whatever type of report I need directly in Excel. The ease of use is the number one thing I like about Datarails. The platform is simple to navigate, and the setup was so smooth that our team was able to start using it very quickly. The built-in reporting capabilities are great. The dashboards and stroyboards are top notch. The other thing that is great is that it provides an Excel add-in capability where that is not always available. Integration is a little harder than I expected. This may be because of the system I use, but the journey to map data was harder than I wanted it to be. Onboarding also is taking more time than I wanted. The challenge of adopting to a new solution is time consuming and each business is different. The most important things that I found within the Data Rails software is the seamless integration of mapped data into the various spreadsheets used for: budgeting, forecasting, and analytics on the P&L as well as the Balance Sheet. This software is able to reduce a lot of the manual labor and time spent in recreating spreadsheets monthly or yearly. Another feature that I really enjoy about Data Rails is the uploading system. One of the largest issues that was faced during the implementation for our organization was the disruption caused from the Mac download of Data Rails. Because of this, many of the equations that were created on the Windows version were now named "busy" and some employees lost all their work for the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Datarails significantly simplifies the often challenging process of data consolidation, particularly when working with multiple ERPs. The dashboards offer clear and intuitive insights that are valuable to different stakeholders throughout the organization. Our primary issue with Datarails is the cumbersome nature of its Excel Add-In feature. While it functions well, Excel workbooks that contain multiple tabs and Datarails references tend to take a long time to load and refresh. The most challenging thing I've run across is the data mapper and ensuring it is mapped correctly. Our Customer Success Manager, Frank, has been fantastic in getting most everything mapped for us, but I want to ensure I know how it's done for the future. This will just come with time.
