Tips for how you can become more appealing to a larger, more diverse candidate pool. I didn't realize some of the language I was using didn't support that. Hoping that I can attract more candidates!!

Some of the words were marked or determined as corporate lingo.. well I do work in a corporation! I am looking for someone with experience navigating a corporate enviroment. Would like to be able to use some of this language without being dinged. Perhsp a "seniority" measure could help? I would expect anyone who is not entry level to be able to understand and navigate corporate lingo

Datapeople is a wonderful straightforward tool that helped us create some effective job postings. We really elevated our content by using this program! The support we receive is almost instant, patient and so helpful. Definitely recommend to any HR dept.

The product itself is great at its core.  It provides helpful recommendations that really make you think about how you should be approaching the way you write JDs

**What do you dislike about Payscale JobNav Recruiter?**

While it's created to be inclusive it also drives its own bias, especially for those who don't understand how to really wordsmith their JDs and have set rules that they must have a specific score of it's considered a failure of a JD.  Some of the reasons why the scores are low have nothing to do with the writer but just the processes that have been implemented within our own internal job architecture.

**What problems is Payscale JobNav Recruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To be honest, I have not done any analytics to understand how huge of a benefit we're getting from Datapeople.  At its core it's suppose to help us write inclusive job descriptions but does it really cater to our audience and our market?  Is a lot of this generalized and that's why we're being inclusive?

DataPeople is very easy to use. The scoring system for job description focuses the team on the most important changes and pushes them to make them. I can't speak to other products on the market but I have been very satisfied with it and it has met the needs of my team.

The online editor can be a bit slow for me sometimes which can make it harder to use than it needs to be. I wish it had a better integration with our ATS (Recruiterbox) but I understand why it doesn't have one.

It does what it says it does. The company has been transparent and helpful throughout. I've used DataPeople with two different organizations because the product works great, and the team is easy to work with. Strongly recommend.

It is hard to include enough information in the job description, while not being labeled as 'too long' in the rating. Also, some of the alternative language suggested isn't quite right.

The algorithm-based recommendations help choose language and structure for JDs! The specific tips for why it makes sense to change language or phrasing are great for learning!

The interface is a bit clunky. Whenever you hover over sentences, the "ribbon" that shows up can be too big and annoying. It would also be nice to provide a way to leave comments and tag others.

Do consider using it - it makes building JDs and kickstarting recruiting much easier!

Datapeople helps us to optimise our job ads for better performance with various audiences (particularly ensuring we are not inadvertently turning people off through poor choice of language) as well as consistency and compliance (such as including the right sort of information). It is also easy to use.

There's little not to like, but an area of improvement would be to have a clearer area for users to draft documents without cluttering the library.

It helps to eliminate too much jargon, clutter, or wordiness in the job postings.  Helps it make them more succint while still having enough information for applicants to consider before applying.  It also has really good suggestions for replacement words, and how to make the postings more inclusive.

**What do you dislike about Payscale JobNav Recruiter?**

The AI suggestions sometimes suggests removing or changing words that would change the job posting entirely.  For example, "Senior Software Engineer" often gets flagged because it has the word "senior" in it, but this is a pretty common term used industry wide to indicate that you are no longer a junior level employee.

In an industry like tech, it's important that all of your job postings are inclusive and written appropriately.  With Datapeople, we are trying to eliminate as much bias as possible early on in the process, and that starts from a good job posting.  We've noticed an uptick in applications since we have started using Datapeople.

Datapeople is an intuitive solution to help your company be more inclusive when creating job descriptions.  It provides real-time calibration to you so that as you change your job description, your score changes along the way as well.

**What do you dislike about Payscale JobNav Recruiter?**

I'm not too fond of Datapeople believing their technical spelling is the only correct spelling and that affects your score.  JavaScript is not how all technologists spell it - most use javascript, and MVC (while it is an abbreviation) is how most people recognize model - view - controller and should a candidate not know that I would, unfortunately, need to pass on their candidacy.  Datapeople simply needs to learn some of the more technical terms and recognize different spelling shouldn't affect your score.

It's been really wonderful to see how changing a few small things makes jobs more inclusive for all.  Simple changes can make all the difference and it is really amazing to see that in the applicant pool.

At times, the site feels slow to load individual job postings and I feel there could be easier ways to concurrently edit multiple descriptions.

Finding qualified candidates is the biggest problem being addressed. With the feedback presented in the UI it is easier to catch issues sooner rather than later.

-It's straightforward to use. With some clicks, you can find what works and doesn't work publishing a job. 

- Integration with the ATS (lever) is quick and easy.

- It gives really nice alternatives when wording job requirements.

- Sometimes, the suggestions that Datapeople provides don't fit into the context. 

- Some rare times, some words are flagged without apparent reason and much context.

There is nothing really top of mind - there are a few suggested edits to title / years of experience that I often times do not change (and would be curious to get more info behind the suggestions) but overall great tool.

I like how it highlights what to correct and what looks good. Making a JD looking more approacable and unbiased is key in getting more response of quality candidates.

Adding new fields is confusing. This functionality is very clunky. Also a button that allows us to share a link would be helpful to rather than having to copy the url.

We are solving the problem of low applicant flow and increasing more accurate profiles to our jobs. I think it's tough to evaluate the benefit. For example we posted 2 jobs where we have not gotten very many applicants so how can we diagnose if the suggestions Datapeople made are meeting those goals?

This tool has been great for our organization. It is user-friendly and color coordinates the "flags" for you.  As HR, the scoring and feedback on the left have been very helpful for me to educate hiring managers on how we can improve their job descriptions.

At times the word suggestions don't fit the sentence correctly and you need to rewrite the entire bullet. 

Some standard word choices are flagged, but it doesn't give me a clear reason why. 

I would love if it gave additional recommendations on the left on how to make the job more inclusive aside from listing benefits.

There are certain words that we need to have in our job specs, but Datapeople knocks off points based on that language which impacts the score. The ease of use. The tool is very easy to use and simple. I upload the JD and it tells me where I need to correct it. We do have hesitations on AI language selections as it feels less "US" when we post but it helps us find the right language.

UI. The UI seems so outdated. We've used Textio in the past and Textio was much friendlier and more interactive. Data People seems like I'm just using a website vs using a tool.

I love the real-time feedback the tool gives you, and the color-coordinated system makes it easy to determine the issue. I also love seeing the score ticker continue to go up as I edit and remove specific verbiage from the job description.

**What do you dislike about Payscale JobNav Recruiter?**

When I am trying to click on a specific section to edit, and it's close by to another area with an issue, the feedback bubble of the other issue gets in the way. It takes time to try and navigate around it, so that can get a little frustrating. I've also noticed some inconsistencies between job descriptions. For example, a statement on one JD doesn't give me an issue, but if I put the same statement with another JD, it identifies a problem.

Before using Data People, I didn't realize having "soft skills" listed in a job description was a bad thing. It's helped me realize how many managers filled their job descriptions with these sorts of requirements instead of actual qualifications.

There are some suggestions that mean something entirely different. For instance when I write a job description that includes "facilitate meetings" the suggestion is "plan". I understand this has less jargon, but it means something entirely different from a skillset requirement.

Ensure a broader pool of candidates and inadvertently limit the field due to missing or ineffective language in a job description.

Sometimes, you disagree with the feedback, so you can not modify the text, making it harder to reach the 80+ grade. It would be great to be able to send review suggestion in specific cases.
