I like that Datanyze is an extension on my laptop. I use it to view which technology stack a company's website is running on. 

**What do you dislike about Datanyze?**

The extension sometimes logs me out and I'm unsure why. 

**Recommendations to others considering Datanyze:**

It's simple and easy to use as an extension. In comparison to other similar tools, there is no need to go to a website and search for a company which takes time. 

**What problems is Datanyze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datanyze helps me with my targeted prospecting activities. I will search a company's website to gain competitive intel as well as target my specifically. For example, if a company is utilizing a lot of technology, I will prioritize them as they have invested in technology in the past and are forward thinking.

Nothing! So far the experience using this tool has been fantastic!

If you are in sales this tool is huge and saves me a ton of backend research but also allows me insights into the company I am speaking with.

**What do you like best about Datanyze?**

Datanyze does a great job of finding the installed technologies of our prospects. The ability to filter by revenue ranges, industry, employee count, technologies, etc. is a huge advantage. I was able to create a customized lead scoring model in Salesforce based on the company + technology information received from Datanyze.  And the Chrome Extension is super helpful!

**What do you dislike about Datanyze?**

The email addresses and people finder is a huge advantage but the email bounce rate can be slightly high. I accommodate for that by uploading them into a email validation tool (such as validateemailaddress.org or hunter.io).

**Recommendations to others considering Datanyze:**

I highly recommend working closely with your account manager. They are a huge benefit and they are very responsive.

**What problems is Datanyze solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A ton! Datanyze is now a one-stop-shop and we can additionally use this to research our competition. The biggest benefit is the ability to find companies which would be interested in working with us because of the technology they use.

I can quickly do market research and build lists of target accounts based on highly accurate firm and tech data.

Pricing model is somewhat prohibitive to usage. Would love to access every category for a full analysis of trends in tech consumption within different customer / pipeline groups.

That some of the contacts are very old or there are a ton of personal cell phone numbers as contacts.

I liked the technology change analysis and monitors the web and mobile technology, to reach your best prospects when they are looking to buy.

Less visibility to upcoming technology in the market, Predictive analysis is not as good as required. More intelligence is required to understand the opportunities.

It can be a little clunky and cumbersome sometimes.  I wish it worked with my business software, like it does with Salesforce

They've made a lot of changes to the platform recently. The "People" feature has been pay-gated where before there was a certain base level included.

The data I am able to acquire is very useful and the alerts every day are awesome. This allows me to be on top of things daily. 

**What do you dislike about Datanyze?**

The interface isn't always user-friendly and I wish there was more I could do with the alerts. I can only have 1 alert so it doesn't allow me to play with filters too much. The email finder is not great and times out often.

This allows us to find out about new potential customers and keep an eye on the competition.

**What do you like best about Datanyze?**

The report building is easy to use and helpful. Especially for public sharing, downloading to CSV etc. 

**What do you dislike about Datanyze?**

A large amount of the information pulled from datanyze seems outdated or plain incorrect. It was one of the first sales tools we signed on to for list building, contact finding, company information pulling, but we often found other tools to provide more up-to-date information. Still after pulling lists we find ourselves heavily scrubbing through outdated info.  

**Recommendations to others considering Datanyze:**

Take the product for what it is today if you're going to buy. If you speak to a sales representative there make sure to have them show you and sell you on what is available - not what is on their roadmap or in Beta. Until the contact/email information is more accurate, this product should be advertised more towards list building/data pulling.

Again, it is helpful for us to pull a large number of companies into a list. We're able to easily divide and conquer these lists much easier.

As our company was in early growth stage Datanyze's product and customer success team was a direct fit!  Generating contact information for prospects and leads was an absolute must, and anytime we had issues whatsoever, the Datanyze team was there to help (even if that meant a few phone calls in the same day).

Eventually some of the contact info for prospects wasn't as strong as it had been.

Datanyze I use every week to see prospects who have recently added or removed a competitor of ours in the same space.  It's super easy to add zip codes, employee size or really any specific criteria to make sure only relevant prospects populate.  Highly recommend for any tech sales team

I love the Chrome extension. As a salesperson in the eCommerce sector, this makes prospecting infinitely easier. Finding the eCommerce source is excellent, and you can also see which ad and analytical tools they use as well. It also gives an estimate to revenue which is nice as well. It's an extremely useful tool, but as the title states, the freemium model is a death-trap. Hate that it now caps you at 100 uses a month. A use is when you have it inspect the site. 100 flies by way too quickly. Again email addresses and location are a little behind.

Freemium models are not ideal--commit to one or another.

Inspecting the page code so that I do not have to to understand what eCommerce platform, what the site is hosted on and what tools are being used.

ability to prospect and find good fits in my territory.  inputting post code is a cool feature to so you avoid companies that do not fall in your remit.  website ranking is also useful to go straight to the better ranking sites.

Contact/ lead information is never really reliable/ up to date. Lots of turnover in the non profit industry

Datanyze pulls the website, email, marketing, and video softwares that a company uses and clearly lays them out for you to review. 

The software also scrapes public information on the company giving you an idea of their funding and revenue.

The software is not so great when it comes to generating leads. While it give you suggestions, there should be more filters.
