The Data Diff feature enables data teams to push new code with confidence. Combined with the Column Lineage feature, bugs and regressions are greatly reduced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Data catalog discovery needs more attention Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how I can easily see the output differences of two queries, how many duplicates, and how many nulls there are. It makes it easier to drill down to the source of discrepancy. The lineage tool is also beneficial to see dependencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not a dislike, but just a suggestion if we can also go down to the per-field view of the lineage tool so we know which tables our metrics are coming from. This is particularly useful for tables with aggregated data and metrices from multiple tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Datafold has a simple UI and navigation with powerful features underneath. The lineage product allows users to deeply explore how tables and data assets relate to each other, and easily see the dependency graph for a given table or column. This makes understanding the impact of data issues or outages very straightforward. Their datadiff product has been critical for data migrations that require careful orientation to detail. Their cataloging product is in its early stages, but is already helping us search and document the data assets we have, which makes onboarding new data scientists or data-saavy teammembers easier. There's ripe opportunity for datafold to continue to increase the integrations that they support. I'd love to see both Mode and Tableau integrations added as downstream asset integrations. Search on the catalogue is sometimes slow and clunky. The alerts functionality is pretty basic today and could use with more granular controls anda nd desintations. They're still early on in product development so I expect all of these things to improve over the next year! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Datafold makes it easy to see how the changes you make impact your data through easy-to-understand visualizations and tooling. Their integration with DBT helps make this incredible easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Datafold does an excellent job for its intended purpose. Obviously, when you are deliberately making changes to your data, you need to be thoughtful about if the changes you are seeing are what you intended. It can require a bit of work to do this, but that is unavoidable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Datafold has a broad set of features, and the support team has been very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Setup is not as easy as it was billed to be. We've also encountered a fair number of bugs, and UI performance is slow at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) UI is very intuitive; it took me a few hours to figure out how to use the tool
2) The option to input queries creates a lot of flexibility for data quality monitoring, which is an unsolved problem by other tools
3) Alerting available through anomaly detection & setting bounds, which allows for domain knowledge & automated detection
4) Support team is very responsive to feedback Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No integration with Datadog / Pagerduty yet (alerting only available through email) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
