"Effective Learning, Minor Interface Tweaks Needed"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

I like using DataCamp for honing my SQL skills, especially at the intermediate level, and gaining the ability to optimize my SQL queries. I also appreciate the platform for offering an actual learning environment where the AI assistant stands out as quite good at teaching me step by step. It helps me by correcting small errors and showing me best practices. Mostly, I enjoy the feedback I'm getting from the training provided by the AI assistant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

I think the interface of DataCamp could do with a bit of an overhaul, and that's only about the actual main website. It's just a little bit tricky when you're trying to start a course because you forget that the actual launch course button is right at the top rather than at the bottom where I would think it would be near each of the modules. The initial setup was actually quite complicated because I received a joining email which kept giving me errors. Then I registered separately without the joining email, and my manager had trouble adding me to our group, and she had to get tech support involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Hiren! Great to hear the AI assistant and SQL deep dives are clicking for you - step-by-step feedback really does make a difference when sharpening query skills. Your point about the course launch button placement is noted and we appreciate you sharing it. Enjoy the practice ahead!

"Interactive Learning Made Easy with DataCamp"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

I like that the lessons on DataCamp are interactive and bite-sized, which makes it easy to fit into my schedule. I get to immediately apply what I learned through exercises, which is great. I appreciate how structured and practical the courses are, helping me quickly build relevant skills like data analysis and automation, which I can directly apply to improve my work efficiency. The interactive lessons helped me learn by doing instead of just reading, which makes the concepts stick better. The bite-sized format also makes it easy to fit learning into my daily schedule, even during short breaks, making learning more consistent and effective. I think everything works well for me, and I like the content. The setup was very easy, and I like how you can log in or sign up for the first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

My main concern is that some lessons lack depth, and there aren’t enough open-ended projects. I’d prefer more opportunities to work on realistic scenarios instead of mostly structured exercises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Irfan! Really glad the bite-sized, interactive format fits into your schedule and the hands-on exercises are helping concepts stick. It is great to hear you are already applying data analysis and automation skills directly at work - that is exactly what we are here for!

"Great Way to Earn Certifications and Expand Your Skillset"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

Being able to earn certifications in different areas and learn new topics to implement those into my skillsets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

I wish that the layout looked different and wish that I got some more notifications on opportunities or areas that relate to my interest (Kind of like a filter button that asks what your interests are - similar to Spotify/Apple Music w/ similar artists). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Love the Spotify-for-learning idea -- personalized recommendations based on your interests would make finding the right content so much easier. Great suggestion, Ariel, and glad the certifications are helping you stay on top of what's changing in tech!

"Hands-On, Beginner-Friendly Learning with Clear Paths and Instant Feedback"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

Hands‑on learning approach

Lessons are short and immediately followed by interactive exercises, so you apply what you learn right away instead of just watching or reading passively.

Clear learning paths

The career and skill tracks (like Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Python, SQL) are well‑organized and guide you step‑by‑step from beginner to more advanced topics without feeling overwhelming.

Real‑world relevance

Many exercises and projects are based on realistic datasets and scenarios, which helps connect concepts to actual workplace use cases.

Beginner‑friendly but not shallow

Explanations are simple and approachable, yet the content still builds solid technical foundations, even for people with no prior coding background.

Instant feedback

You immediately know whether your code works, which makes learning faster and keeps motivation high.

Flexibility

You can learn at your own pace, revisit lessons anytime, and focus on specific skills when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

Limited depth for advanced learners

While DataCamp is excellent for beginners and intermediate users, some advanced topics can feel a bit high‑level and may not go deep enough for complex, real‑world applications.

Multiple‑choice heavy at times

Some lessons rely too much on multiple‑choice questions or small code snippets, which can feel less realistic compared to writing full solutions from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you for such a comprehensive and thoughtful review! It's great to hear that the hands-on approach, clear learning paths, and instant feedback are all working well for you. Building solid foundations while keeping things approachable is something we really care about.

We appreciate your honest feedback on advanced content depth and exercise variety too. Insights like yours help us keep improving the platform. We're glad DataCamp is making data skills feel accessible and practical for you. Happy learning!

"Beginner-Friendly Lessons with Great Interactive Practice"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

As someone who is relatively new to data analytics and programming, I found DataCamp to be a very beginner-friendly platform. The lessons are easy to follow, and the interactive exercises help me practice what I learn immediately instead of just watching videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

Not sure I can answer that question. I am new Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Phani. It is great to hear DataCamp feels beginner-friendly and that the interactive exercises let you practice right away instead of just watching. That is exactly what we hope for. Enjoy the rest of your learning journey.

"Boost Growth with Practical and Structured Learning"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

What I like most about DataCamp is that it combines practical learning, clear structure, and updated content, which makes improving as a data analyst much more seamless and motivating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

More advanced and specialized content (query optimization, data architecture, real business cases). More open projects where one can define the approach, not just follow instructions. Smarter recommendations based on my actual progress. Greater variety of datasets and contexts (finance, health, retail, logistics, etc.). Overall, DataCamp works very well for learning and practicing, but it could improve by offering more depth, variety, and autonomy for those who already have a solid foundation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review. It’s great to hear that the practical approach, clear structure, and up to date content are helping you grow as a data analyst. Creating a seamless and motivating learning experience is exactly what we aim for at DataCamp.

We also really appreciate your suggestions. Depth in areas like query optimization and data architecture, more open ended projects, smarter recommendations, and broader industry datasets are all valuable ideas. Feedback from learners with a solid foundation is especially helpful as we continue expanding our advanced offerings.

Thanks again for sharing your perspective and for being committed to continuous improvement. We’re glad to support your journey.

"Flexible Learning with Room for Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

I use DataCamp for upskilling and making myself more valuable in my job. I find it easy to use and love that I can start and stop if I get interrupted and return where I left off. The snippet format for video lessons is particularly appealing because I don’t need to set aside an hour or more during my day to commit to training. I can log in between meetings or projects and pick up where I left off. The initial setup was very easy for me. I have already recommended it to several coworkers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

I don't like having to spend XP to get hints on tests. Also, I don't like getting so many emails when I don't have time to log in. Several of my coworkers had issues with finding the SSO sign on. They set up accounts under their work email which did not connect with our enterprise license. They ended up having to delete their accounts and lose all their progress when logging back in properly with SSO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you for such a thorough and balanced review! It's great to hear that the flexible, bite-sized format fits so well into your busy schedule. Being able to learn between meetings and pick up right where you left off is exactly the kind of experience we want to provide. And thank you for recommending DataCamp to your coworkers, that means a lot!

We appreciate your honest feedback about the hints and email frequency too. We also understand how frustrating the SSO setup issues must have been for your colleagues. If any of them still need help getting things sorted, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support.datacamp.com. We're happy to assist. Keep up the great work with your upskilling!

"Plenty of Practice and a Great AI Tutor"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

I really like having so much practice available, and I also like the AI Tutor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

It’s hard to find anything to dislike. There are so many courses that it’s tough to narrow it down and choose just one or two :-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Domi. It's great to hear the amount of practice and the AI Tutor are working well for you. Having so many courses to choose from is a good problem to have, and we're happy to have you learning with DataCamp.

"Hands-On Learning Made Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

I really appreciate DataCamp’s interactive learning approach. The platform combines short, focused lessons with hands-on exercises, which makes it easy to immediately apply what I learn. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the ability to practice coding directly in the browser without setting up environments saves a lot of time. I also like the wide range of courses and learning tracks, especially for SQL and Power BI, which are exactly what I need to strengthen my technical skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

While DataCamp is a great platform overall, one limitation is that some courses feel a bit too basic or repetitive once you reach an intermediate level. For example, advanced topics in SQL or Power BI could go deeper into real-world scenarios and complex use cases. Additionally, the exercises are mostly done in a controlled environment, so you don’t always get the experience of working with large, messy datasets like in real projects. Lastly, the subscription model can feel expensive if you only need a few specialized courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you for such a thoughtful and balanced review. It’s great to hear that the hands-on format, intuitive design, and browser-based coding are working well for you, especially as you strengthen your SQL and Power BI skills. We also really appreciate your constructive feedback. You’re absolutely right that real-world complexity matters, and we’re continuously working to expand the depth and variety of our intermediate and advanced content. Your perspective as a BI Developer helps us improve, so thank you again for sharing it so clearly. Wishing you continued success on your learning journey.
