What do you like best about D2P (DICOM to PRINT)?

The best about D2P has to be it's segmetation offerings. I mean it's not the best in market but you get pretty good features like automatic segmentation of various models. Apart from segmentation cost has to be the major plus point. It's clearance for use as medical device just add to the benefits. It is easy to use and supports commonly used medical data from CT, MRI, CBCT (DICOM). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D2P (DICOM to PRINT)?

Our requirement is to perform simulation on the generation 3D models of hard tissues and export of FE models from D2P, we cannot generate volume mesh and define greyscale based material properties for our model. This part becomes essential in our domain. D2P alone isn't sufficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is D2P (DICOM to PRINT) solving and how is that benefiting you?

We segment the hard tissues of various regions of human body and then export it in .stl format to hypermesh for volumetric meshing. We extensively use the good segmentation capabilities of D2P like thresholding, manual paint, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

(Original )Information
What do you like best about D2P (DICOM to PRINT)?

The best part of the software is its Deep Learning technology for automatic segmentation of DICOM, CT. CBCT files. we can get very precise values of bone density and soft tissue

DICOM images can be viewed easily instantly in VR without doing segmentation.

it's amazing real-time 3D rendering.

It is very easy to use no technical expertise is required, we can automatically export .iges files no need to purchase separate modules for file export.

For craniomaxillofacial segmentation and 3D printing, it is the best software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D2P (DICOM to PRINT)?

The least likely part of D2P is that we can not design patient-specific implants in this. we have to use Geomagic freeform if we want to design implants.

it does not have tools for scripting, support designing, lattice structure, mask and model template library.

we can not define materials/ hard tissue and soft tissue properties before being export to solvers.

it also gets freeze when we are working on large datasets, we should have very good hardware.

we can not import volume mesh files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is D2P (DICOM to PRINT) solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using D2P for the last 4 years for making very accurate patient-specific 3D Printed bones and anatomical models for pre-surgical planning and providing services in product development related to Medical devices and Anatomical Models. for making models ready for 3D print D2P is very robust and reliable. it helps us in coordinating with surgeons and engineers to reduce the time for pre-surgical planning. and we have realized that D2P is helpful in this procedure of segmentation and 3D Printing. What do you like best about D2P (DICOM to PRINT)?

The most likely part of this software is its name D2P(Dicom to Print) with easy control of data management, support various 3D file format We can import medical DICOM images into the software that combines all 3D model segmentation and preparation steps into one workstation. This software is a cleared medical device intended for pre-surgical planning and the production of 3D-printed anatomic models for diagnostic purposes. It's very easy to use and very helpful in image segmentation and .STL export also, you can visualize, analyze, quantify and export data for 3D print. and it supports various images from MRI, CT, CBCT Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D2P (DICOM to PRINT)?

The least likely part of this software is that it does not support scripting, Finite element and Computational fluid dynamics mesh creation. there are very limited Image processing and segmentation tools available and you can not provide an internal lattice structure to 3D model. also you can not use this for mammography imaging and this will also gets freeze when you import a large size dataset into the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is D2P (DICOM to PRINT) solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using this software for providing the services for 3D model conversion from MRI, CT, CBCT, and nano CT scans for 3D printing export, Surgical planning, FE &CFD analysis. In this aspect, we found this software very useful and helpful as compared to other open-source and commercial software. we are saving a lot of time by using this software and its features and increasing our profit.

Thanks D2P. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
