CyberMaxx is an outstanding cybersecurity partner, consistently delivering top‑tier Managed Detection and Response services supported by an exceptional customer experience and deep, industry‑leading expertise. They demonstrate a strong commitment to proactive threat detection, rapid incident response, and personalized support that genuinely feels like an extension of our team. At the same time, they offer flexible, tech‑agnostic solutions that integrate seamlessly into our existing environment.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

We have used Cybermaxx for over 6 months now and have no negatives to report.

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a small staff of security analysts who work only from 7am to 5pm, and they act as an extension of my team, which operates 24x7. They monitor and alert on issues we simply don’t have the bandwidth to watch for or uncover ourselves. They also perform ongoing threat hunting and, where possible, handle remediation as well.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

I really like that CyberMaxx provides a personal touch, treating us like a special customer rather than just a number in a spreadsheet. The Microsoft 365 monitoring feature is very useful, but I also think SentinelOne has been an outstanding addition to our software portfolio, ensuring that any dangerous activity gets shut down immediately. Additionally, I appreciate how CyberMaxx worked very closely with our managed services partner, making it extremely easy to deploy deploy services to all of our environments.

My experience has been outstanding, so far.

CyberMaxx identifies attacks, gives personal support, and its Microsoft 365 monitoring quickly shuts down dangerous email activities.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

I like CyberMaxx for their SOC, which is crucial for our operations. Their custom alerting is a helpful feature that keeps us informed about vulnerabilities. I appreciate the emails they send out regarding vulnerabilities and how they manage our environment. These features allow us to focus on other things, knowing that CyberMaxx can keep an eye on these important aspects for us.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

The communication would be a big key on improving. We were initially with Cybersafe and that merged into CyberMaxx and some of the communication/alerts have lacked since. There are times where we feel like we have talked about certain scenarios a couple times now and it's still not where we want it. Can be frustrating at times.

CyberMaxx manages our environment, providing 24/7 SOC, reporting, and threat intelligence, letting us focus on other tasks.

I find CyberMaxx's penetration testing services to be affordable and appreciate their experienced engineers who are both understanding and knowledgeable. They're very quick to respond and consistently deliver accurate results. The team is easy to work with, has a solid understanding of the technology they're testing, and doesn't overwhelm us with false positives. I also value their ability to perform tests and deliver results quickly, which helps us meet our timelines. Additionally, the initial setup was seamless.

I do not have any negative feedback. The process was seamless.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

I appreciate CyberMaxx because it monitors our environment 24/7/365 and handles problems right when they happen. They provide first-level support immediately, then send issues to us to investigate without any delays. I also like that they're reliable, and I can count on them to monitor our environment effectively. They're right to the point and work effectively, which makes the whole process straightforward. We switched from another product because CyberMaxx offers better monitoring and takes action, unlike our previous product that merely alerted us.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

If they can have SIEM engineers as part of their staff, it would be very helpful to manage client's SIEMs.

I use CyberMaxx for 24/7/365 monitoring. It processes first-level support without delays and elevates issues for further investigation, unlike prior products that only alerted.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

I really appreciate the clear and regular communication that CyberMaxx provides. Having an open line of communication to our SOC is something we've never had before, and it helps alleviate any pain points and confusion that may arise on either side. I also like the speed at which they handle alerts. The communication, the English-speaking analysts, and the overall reputation of CyberMaxx were key reasons for switching from our previous provider. Plus, the initial setup was extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

Sometimes the ticket system doesn't allow submission. When entering a ticket, the submit button doesn't work - but this only happens on the rare occasion.

I use CyberMaxx for managed SOC, covering after-hour alerts and providing an extra set of eyes. It ensures clear communication, easing confusion, and rapidly handling alerts.

Simple and thorough.  SOC has exceeded expectations.

There were initial issues with alerts creating new emails instead of adding on to each other, but that has since been resolved.

Alert fatigue. Cybermaxx filters down the hundreds/thousands alerts and only forwards me the most important.

The whole team is just amazing.  We work together as a team.  Arthur Alves is my lead guy and stays in contact with me. Dustin Del Rio and Keith Tipton are always helpful and patient.  Everyone is patient and explains so you have a sense of relief.

Have not found any.  My life has be more at ease.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

Gives a good comfort level that the service will allow staff to stay focused on existing operational activities and new initiatives that reduce risk in other areas or otherwise add value.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

The flexibility in services is both a pro and a con as it's less prescriptive at times than other vendors, but as a result provides customers what they need/want. Other vendors I've worked with in the past have a defined approach at assessing level of coverage, implementing, and walking you through the entire process to ensure coverage of all assets. In our specific case, the contract that was executed dictated their implementation approach, so I don't know if any of that had been done prior (I suspect it wasn't).

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Allows InfoSec, CorpIT, and Engineering to remain focused on existing operational activities and new projects that add value or otherwise reduce risk.
- Reduces need of “specialized knowledge” (only some of which we already have)
- Security Incident and Event Monitoring
- Threat Intelligence integration into SIEM (Detect possible attempts to compromise through behavioral analysis)
- Threat Hunting (Detect presence of things in the environment that will lead to a compromise)
- Security Configuration Management
- Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Testing
- Digital Forensics (Understand the contributing factors to a compromise after it’s happened to ensure CyberInsurance payout)
- Cost to build out similar capabilities internally are likely to exceed the value provided by CipherTechs. A good chunk of staff and tool augmentation along with training would need to be considered

We like how CyberMaxx allows us to customize the service we recieve and not use canned services. The team is approachable and easy to work with providing us with world class service.

nothing we dislike at this time. The team is easy to work with and gets on calls with us when needed.

CyberMaxx monitor's our security alerts after hours and assists with clearing out false positives allowing us to focus on real world alerts. They also are instrumental in SIEM and EDR operations.

Having a personal contact with the lead for our team is a strong differentiating factor in other services.  If we have a specific need, I know our lead can reach into a strong bench security specialists to help solve unique issues.

there is high turnover in our team that may cause newer team members to not fully understand the nuances of our non-standard enviornment

The overall experience that my team had with Cybermaxx has been nothing short of phenomenal. They offer a white glove approach to an industry that has been anything but. From the first contacts with Cybermaxx I had faith that we were in the right hands. Their boutique-style approach is exactly what we needed - something that separates them from other companies. Cybermaxx is still growing fast- Their reporting platform has improved since our first days with Cybermaxx. I am thankful with how transparent and communicative they are.

They are my information security team. My company does a lot of M&A activity and they have been paramount in being able to adapt to our ever changing needs. I feel very confident with our decision to choose Cybermaxx. We found a great partner!

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

Cybermaxx allows me to get a good night sleep because I know that an experienced team of cyber professionals is monitoring my systems 24/7/365.  They are an extension of my InfoSec team at a fraction of the cost and the alerts are actionable, not noise.  Alerts are immediate and they will assist in the remediation.  I get a robust monthly Threat Briefing that shows alerts, detections, tickets, and incidents which I can share with our Security Committee.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

There are no downsides.  Everything Cybermaxx does is top-notch and I use their service as a Gold Standard to compare other MSSP against.

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My staff of 2 cannot monitor our systems 24/7 nor do they have the bandwidth to analyze detections and recognize threats so using Cybermaxx as an extension of my staff makes complete financial sense.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

I cannot speak more highly of my organization's relationship with CyberMaxx. They have been a dedicated and trusted partner of our organization for over three years now. Since contracting, they have frequently gone above and beyond to support our organization. CyberMaxx assisted us with a massive security incident, bringing resources onsite and remote support, even when they were not under contract. During our contract renewal, they were transparent, fairly priced and produced multiple pricing models for our consideration.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

There is nothing I truly dislike about the CyberMaxx service offerings or their partnership with my organization. There were some natural growing pains that came with transitioning to an outsourced MSSP, but overall we have been thrilled.

CyberMaxx has allowed us to enhance our threat detection and response capabilities while also meeting compliance requirements.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

The Cybermaxx MDR service has been in use at our organization for over 8 years.  I call it the "backstop" because many times it has caught activity that was undetected by the other layers of solutions in place.  Cybermaxx staff notifies our team 24/7 with information that is timely, relevant, and actionable.  False alerts are rare, and our requests are promptly enacted by the Cybermaxx team.  Pricing is excellent with the agreement terms we were provided by Tennessee Hospital Association.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

No dislikes.  Cybermaxx is one of the few IT vendors who delivers what it promises, and consistently exceeds expectations.

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Malicious websites or sites that share addresses with compromised sites are blocked, and suspicious activity on any server or endpoint is reported immediately.  Having a third party monitor and report this information allows our senior resources to focus on issues that require attention.  This service costs a fraction of what it would cost our team to do it at the same level.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

Their SOC team is by far the best thing about CyberMaxx. Their SOC support team is very responsive. I've never been told no for special requests of custom reports or when I have thrown them a curve ball. They take the time to follow up if a question or request takes longer than anticipated. They do a great job of establishing expectations.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

I am struggling to provide a dislike of CyberMaxx. The only thing I could say is that I wished they did not have as much turnover for relationship managers or sales-related staff. I understand it is the nature of the beast when it comes to sales or relationship managers. Honestly, I've had this issue with every vendor.

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Within CyberMaxx's MDR umbrella, use the SIEM and the VDR solutions. When I started with the company, I brought CyberMaxx to the table to address various security gaps. I am not done with bringing more of their services to the table.

1) The Cybermaxx hardware, regardless of iteration we've put into production, has proven to be extremely durable in nature, rarely requiring intervention
2) The staff is extremely proactive, knowledgeable and helpful on a day to day basis
3) The installation of the hardware is very intuitive and can integrate into almost any network node you want to keep secure

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

The port density on some of the models could be better.  With our rack space at a premium, it'd be helpful if the devices could be created with a higher port density in mind.

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cybermaxx detects and alerts on nefarious network activity at various points throughout our network.  They proactively warn us if any untoward activity is detected and also provide our SIEM services that allow us to take a deep look into our logging.

Cybermaxx provided a fast pain free rollout of Crowdstrike to all our endpoints in less than 3 weeks. They manage and triage all the alerts and provide us with actionable events to work on.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

Cybermaxx reporting and dashboards outside of the crowdstrike environment are a little behind in functionality but they are working to update those.

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a small security team, they help us by watching the environment to make sure we have our configuration correct, adding IOCs timely and then sifting through all the alerts providing us with actionable events we need to look at.

They have been dedicated to our success.  They are reliable, trustworthy, and always available when we need support.  They provide a dedicated and always available account rep, and are there for any issue we are experiencing.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

There is very little I dislike, but if I were to call out one thing, it would be some mutual growing pains as we experienced when first bringing CyberMaxx on-board.  Once on-board, it has been seamless.

They are continually helping to ensure to security of our patient's data, and the confidentiality, integrity and availablity of the systems that provide treatment, payment and operations.

- CyberMaxx can only isolate hosts and/or run scans using a third-party tool (Microsoft Safety Scanner)
Alarm portal is a bit clunky
Would like to see reports on recent attacks across other customers

We do not have dedicated security analysts. Bringing on an MSSP like CyberMaxx was more cost-effective. We feel more secure not having to worry about the unknown.

Overall reporting could be improved, More integration between EDR and SIEM reporting, EDR modules are expansive which makes it difficult to understand modules needed when purchasing,

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

The CyberMaxx MDR solution is easily integrated while relatively low cost. The CyberMaxx team continually reviews their solution's capabilities and addresses needs as they arise.

**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

I would like to see a virtualized MDR solution where network closets are small or non-existent. This allows for an extremely small footprint that allows for better integration.

**What problems is CyberMaxx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MDR is a first-line defense solution capable of filtering most of the network traffic not analagous to our business need. This allows for concentration in other areas of infosec discipline.

A true partner for developing an incident response program.

It's hard to find anything to dislike other than occasionally, the alerts sent do not contain the information needed to do further research.

The tool is beneficial for making the quick decision for implementation and its services are very reliable in controlling the incident details. Moreover, the application provides a flexible blacklisting and whitelisting feature.

This application is unable to manage the Malware attacks and we are very helpless in dealing with such situations. So, making new progression can solve the problem and it needs a lot of time while managing other security systems.

CyberMaxx Managed Security Service is a very well-developed program in managing the security within our system. The security protocols are fulfilled with great responsibility and we can manage the vulnerabilities with confidence. Nothing can relate to its backing up the system with great support and help to blacklist the unwanted material. Its approach is very comprehensive and we can manage the system within a few minutes. So, the support and management provided by this application is commendable.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

Cybermaxx has earned the trust and plays a major role within the Information Security program. Without their continuous support, we would be overwhelmed with all the noise of managing the SIEM and IDS/IPS. Additionally, Cybermaxx is ready in an instant to work with us during any potential incident. Finally, their managed services they provide has become more than a partner relationship but at part of the internal team.

I currently have no dislikes for Cybermaxx.

Consolidation of services. Reduces the overhead in having a large scale security operations center.

Cybermaxx has been our MSSP for several years now. They have responded far faster than our 2 previous companies.

**What do you like best about CyberMaxx?**

FAST response AND personal service. Some competitor's discourage calling the SOC and wanted use to go through a TAM. Cybermaxx is much more flexible than some of the larger MSSP companies.


**What do you dislike about CyberMaxx?**

Not as comprehensive as some MSSPs. Such as endpoint management (quarantine endpoint when detected known threat.)

**Recommendations to others considering CyberMaxx:**

Talk openly about your concerns and use cases. If you have a current MSSP, put Cybermaxx in-line with the competitor so you can see what your current MSSP is not detecting or alerting on.
