What do you like best about CyberArk Privileged Access Manager?

When implemented correctly, it can reduce risk of credential compromise, but people should be ready to put the effort into making this work as intended and not having it become a "storage" facility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CyberArk Privileged Access Manager?

It's really more about the organization where support has not been as good as I would've hoped. A "large" org should have the capability to go directly to a higher level support tier when issues arise. Also, account personel could be more responsive to customer requests and needs. We tried a TAM in the past, and that didn't work out. A contnual check in with customers on a technical and non-technical basis is needed to help drive customer product ROI and vendor product development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CyberArk Privileged Access Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

With credential compromise a primary attack vector, we are reducing our risk when and where this technology is applied to our privilege accounts. They exist not only in interactive admin accounts, but in service and application accounts as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CyberArk Privileged Access Manager?

Utilizing the Accounts Discovery function within CyberArk, along with its REST API, we have automated the detection, sorting and onboarding of new privilaged accounts freeing up man hours that used to be spent tracking down and manually adding accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CyberArk Privileged Access Manager?

I believe the single thing that I have disliked about CyberArk was the product documentation. As an administrator, trying to use the past documentation methods, finding specific procedures was difficult. This issue has been much inproved with the web-based documentaiton. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CyberArk Privileged Access Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

Initially, the CyberArk PAS suite was implemented to reduce the risk of privileged passwords being stored in multiple spreadsheets around the enterprise. These spreadsheets were impossible to keep track of, as employees were forewver making local copies which created both a security issue, but also a support issue. When the Security Operations team would initiate a password change project for a specific segment, all of the "stored" passwords on the employee-copied spreadsheets would be wrong, resulting in an increase in SOCC calls for assistance with account lockouts. There is no limit to the integrations as you can implement all sort of bespoke plugins and integrations.

Can be deployed in hybrid self-hosted on-prem and private cloud environments.

Supports the cross-border restrictions by allowing the deployment of as many satellites as required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CyberArk Privileged Access Manager?

It's based on a vaulting passwords approach, which is a perfect use case for last resort accounts.

However for business as usual tasks it's better to implement fine grained just in time solutions.

To cover all the security use cases, it has to be combined with additional solutions like CyberArk Identity or CyberArk Conjur. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CyberArk Privileged Access Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vaulting of last resort accounts.

Agentless temporary access with password based accounts (Quite useful in those scenarios where agents cannot be implemented, or when temporary access elevation is not an easy to implement option). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CyberArk Privileged Access Manager?

Its one of the secure PAM application where vault has not directly access has been given, all the access to vault is through its internal tool like CPAM, PVWA, PrivateArk etc.

Cloud solution also provided which is now a days good option for many orgnization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CyberArk Privileged Access Manager?

I feel reporting is still not matured in CyberArk and as nobody can connect to its own DB so custom reports cannot be produced as per customer requirement which need to check by CyberArk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CyberArk Privileged Access Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

Orgnization can get rid of their shared credentials which are more targetted now a days for cyber attacks. As per standard complaince requirement can be achieved thorugh CyberArk.

It regulates and controls the access of various teams to different servers, password rotation is also nice feature. So to remember, mostly people use the simple password for shared accounts which has previleged access, this can be avoided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
