While I sing praises for Cryptomator's encryption prowess, a minor setback is its lack of support for WebDav and FTP. Despite my efforts, I couldn't find a workaround for these limitations. However, these issues are relatively small in comparison to the robust security it provides. Still, it's worth noting for users relying on these specific protocols. This is also a main advantage depending in how you see it, but it relies on a Desktop client to access the files (you cannot access the files directly in Dropbox, Google Cloud or other clouds, as intended) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Cryptomator replaced Boxcryptor for my business. Not only is the interface cleaner and easier to use, but it is open source and free to use. Most importantly, it works perfectly with both Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, both of which we use with our clients. I have discovered that it also works with Icedrive and pCloud which is an advantage if you don't want to pay the extra fee for encryption with pCloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, I can't think of anything I dislike about Crypotmator. I do worry, however, that the development of the product may not continue as it is an open-source project. If the Cryptomator team discontinued development, we would be forced to look for another alternative, but I have a hard time believing any would work as well.
