I like how it brings everything together in one place like company details, funding insights, or key industry trends. It’s super intuitive and saves so much time when you’re trying to gather reliable information quickly. The data is only as good as the last time it was updated and you can never be quite sure when that was. So many details might be missing. Crunchbase provides accurate and comprehensive information that helps startups perform research associated with capital raises. While there are other research firms doing the same, the costs of other services is often prohibitive for a start-up company. Crunchbase is accurate, timely and affordable. Much of the information relies self-reporting, which can lead to inconsistencies. (By way of example - if a company wants to capitalize on the AI trend, they may be liberal in applying the AI tag to their business even if it's less relevant.) As such it can be difficult to get a fair view by just relying on the data provided. Analysts should take the data with a grain of salt and apply appropriate due diligence.
