I love using Crunchbase to get a comprehensive overview of companies, particularly their trajectory and growth metrics like the heat score and growth score over different timeframes such as one, two, five, or ten years. This feature provides a clear understanding of the business's progress and challenges over time. Additionally, I appreciate the detailed insights provided by the overview tab in the company profile, which displays the financial series or stage the company is in. It gives me a very clear picture of the company's funding history, including the timing, amounts, and types of funding raised. This information helps me gauge the maturity of the team and the product, aiding in making better recruitment decisions for my startup environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think Crunchbase could probably add in some details in that overview tab regarding head count, size, and scale. It's one thing to look at growth score and heat score, but I wanna know, like, how teams have scaled. For example, how many people are in engineering, customer success, HR, and operations at a company over time? What is the total growth of employees over time? That info would give me a sense of whether a company is thoughtfully scaling the size of the team to produce exponential impact in their work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
