## Crowdin Reviews
  ### 1. A Comprehensive Solution suitable for most companies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Borja D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The interface is for the most part clean and well structured.
Dispatching work is quick and easy.
Customer Support is very friendly and helpful.
It covers most needs a company could have in terms of localization.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Little bugs happen from time to time, especially in the Editor view.
Importing some filetypes sometimes doesn't work.
Implementation at the time was not the easiest because of our language list (but this has probably been improved ever since).

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping control of what exists in each language.
Dispatching the appropriate strings to the pertinent translator or reviewer.
Adding content to our product in a more visual way than we did before (Google Sheets).

  ### 2. 7 years of commitment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The machine translations, memory of deleted translations, comparison with other languages, keyboard shortcuts, snappy customer support, simple organized UI and UX that offers ease of management.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Increased load times over the years, confusion with variables over the translation, lack of cross-checking users with their translations via Details card, machine translation suggestions can at times be the exact same, the color change over approved and translated strings, notifications should be sectioned into types.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The website managed by my team guides people towards learning software skills that aids them into creating their own applications from their daily entertainment hardware. However, instructing our visitors into applying these steps can be a challenge when faced with a global audience. Crowdin has our backs, in that it offers a place for our dedicated userbase to offer a hand and translate our guides, while ensuring that said translations are of the most accurate quality. As our sites change and update over time, so does Crowdin let us accomodate said changes for our translators.

  ### 3. Easy-to-use translation management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

One of the things that always speeds up the process is being able to filter in so many ways. Members, activity by user, date, approved v non-approved strings. It's great to have such variety as I don't always want to filter in the same way. The multi-language display is handy when I'm making updates to strings.
Customer support is very helpful, thought at times it takes a long time to get a reply, almost always my problem is resolved.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The pre-translate feature is not as accurate as I'd like it to be. In my opinion, it would be great if I could deactivate it in some languages (where I have an in-house translator) and keep it active for those languages where I use external agencies to review content.
It takes a long time to load results sometimes.
The translation history does not store different versions of the source language text. Other tools I have used keep a record of all the changes (and date stamp). Sometimes it is necessary to revert to the earlier content, or just to keep track of the evolution of the content, and lacking this information means I have to record this information in another place - therefore time-consuming.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Now I have all my language repositories in one place - and could easily add another language if we decided to add that to our market. Previously we had scores of documentation and spreadsheets for each language. Previously it was time-consuming to locate specific text. Now, If I am uncertain of how we've translated a term or a word, I can easily search for it. Before it was hard to keep track of comments related to content - now we can message and keep that information directly next to the source string.

  ### 4. Nice translation platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The platform is useable on any device, thanks to the web interface. Easy to use and with a lot of filter functions to ease editing jobs.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Just a little tricky to confirm updated translations.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Software applications texts translations.

  ### 5. Good software with room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin allows non-technical users to work on translations together with our developers. It has a nice UI that helps to manage strings from our source code.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Integration with Gitlab is a little bit flaky. It doesn't always sync strings from our codebase. It creates a commit for every language which means it unnecessarily triggers a CI pipeline for every commit. It formats PO files differently than Django so git history is harder to read.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin allows to translate strings from our PO files

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad to hear that Crowdin's user-friendly interface is helping your team collaborate effectively on translations. Your insight about the GitLab integration is valuable, and we're sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our team is continuously working on improving the sync process and optimizing the way commits are handled. We appreciate your detailed comments on the PO file formatting, and we'll consider this in our future updates. If you have any further suggestions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. We're here to help!

  ### 6. Seamless Laravel integration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I highly value Crowdin for its seamless Laravel integration, which greatly simplifies the translation and updating process for our Laravel projects.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I find Crowdin's pricing to be somewhat steep, and given the cost, I am considering switching to a free alternative if I need to upgrade my account once more. Additionally, the quality of AI translations falls short of current industry standards, leaving room for significant improvement.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin effectively solves the complex challenge of managing and organizing translations across various languages, streamlining this process within one integrated platform. It also fosters collaboration, enabling my team and I to work together efficiently on translation tasks, ensuring consistency and quality in our multilingual content.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for your review. We're glad you find our Laravel integration seamless and valuable for your projects. We understand your concerns about pricing and AI translations, and we're continuously working to improve in these areas. Our AI translations can be fine-tuned, models can be trained based on your sources, and we offer a free course to help you get the most out of AI - https://www.udemy.com/course/mastering-translation-ai

  ### 7. Great customer support during onboarding and after helped us to quickly get productive with CrowdIn.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Great user interface, quick integration of e.g. proofreades without trainning or extensive documentation.
Proacitve Custumer Support.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

limted and not flexible enough support of excel-sheets for our needs, i.e for 1:1 migration of existing projects

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration of proofreaders into our localization process

  ### 8. Great tool for open-source project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergey F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

We started using Crowdin for contributor-based localization of our apps. It allowed us to easily set up the entire l10n process and integrate it with our regular development and release workflows. Another great thing is that many translators from our community were already familiar with Crowdin and began translating from the moment we launched the l10n project.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

It would be nice to have additional tools to communicate with the contributors' community, such as a newsletter for all project participants or promoting the project among other Crowdin users.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing an easy way for contributors to suggest translations for the apps.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Hi Sergey,

Thanks for the review!

Would you mind mentioning the project you'd like to promote? (diana@crowdin.com)

  ### 9. Easy to use and very helpful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Levani V. | Full-stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The live github sync plugin and easy access for contributors

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

In the georgian language it complains about the letters not being the same case, when georgian doesn't even have uppercase and lowercase.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy translation with multiple team members.

  ### 10. Great time-saver for complex translations of a software product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin shines in several areas - easy management of 15+ translations, flawless detection of new and updated original texts that are pending translation, translation memory (dictionary), and automated translation proposals. Compared to how we managed translations in Excel files several years ago, Crowdin makes our lives so much easier. We have been updating our translations on a monthly basis for a few years already using Crowdin.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

We had to tweak the integration because the built-in scanning of source files in Git was too slow. So we had to have an intermediate step of preparing translation files for Crowdin and then converting the translations back. I have to mention that Crowdin customer support was very helpful in the process, helping with optimizations.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of 15+ translations of a software product that includes Web UI and mobile applications.

  ### 11. A clear, easy-to-understand, and powerful tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin Support is available 24/7! When we first started using Crowdin, not only did they provide educational training, but they also promptly addressed our inquiries. Whether through email or chat, our questions were quickly answered!

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Since just starting to use Crowdin, we haven't identified any significant drawbacks so far. Even if there are issues, we can promptly receive answers through customer support!

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past, we managed extensive strings using Google Sheets. Now, through Crowdin, we can efficiently organize and manage these strings. Additionally, various roles within the project, including PMs, engineers, and translators, can easily collaborate and work within the platform. Furthermore, due to the excellent support from Crowdin and Figma, we can effectively address the challenges related to multilingual content across various screens!

  ### 12. Nico to team work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel A. | QA Tester, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The team work and the collabortaive work

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The amount of emais and notifications every day

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the option to delegate and participate in the translations

  ### 13. good overall experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

accessibility to different teams and people

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

difficulty to see the context of what is being translated

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

to help us manage the translations for a multi countries website

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We understand how crucial context is for accurate translations. Crowdin offers several features to ensure translators can work with the full context. Our In-Context Preview allows translators to see their translations in real-time within the actual UI, ensuring their work aligns perfectly with the design. Additionally, we support screenshots and descriptions for every string, giving translators clear visual and textual context. If you need any help setting these up, feel free to reach out to our support team—we're here to assist!

  ### 14. Fast and friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Ability to automate, ease of use, crodwin cli tools

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

unability to send additional info(context) for translation team

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

automation of comunication, ease of translation

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> We're glad you enjoy our automation features and CLI tools. 🎉

You mentioned the difficulty of providing context for translators. Could you share more about what’s missing? Currently, we support adding string-level or file-level context, uploading screenshots, using in-context translation, and live previews.

Let us know if any of these options work for you or if there's something else you'd like to see.

  ### 15. Great for crowdsourcing work, not great for complex files

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

CrowdIn's interface is easy to use. The label function is convenient, and the filter options are helpful. I like the task management setup and linguist communication functions like the message board. They help keep the team on task and in the loop. Running machine translation is a breeze as well.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There is a lack of security features on CrowdIn. You cannot restrict linguists to certain files. They either have full access to the project and files, or they have none. There are many times when I need linguists to stay within a certain task or label, and there's no way to do it. There is a "restrict access to task" feature in options, but it doesn't work well at all.
One of my biggest complaints is that there is not better ability to import multilingual files. That's a pretty common format in the translation industry so it doesn't make sense that it's not better supported.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy CAT tool for linguists to acclimate to quickly. So projects can get off the ground quickly.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> We sincerely appreciate the valuable feedback you provided regarding your experience with Crowdin. Your insights are crucial to both us and potential Crowdin users.

Regarding your concern about controlling translator access, I'd like to highlight that Crowdin does offer a feature called "task-based access control." When activated in your project settings, this feature ensures that translators can only access content assigned to them through designated tasks.

Additionally, your mention of challenges with multilingual files is noted. Crowdin supports a wide range of industry-standard file formats and provides a framework for swift customization to accommodate proprietary data structures. To better assist you, could you please provide more details about the specific file you encountered issues with? This information will enable our technical engineers to review and address the matter effectively.

We understand your time is valuable, and your continued support means a lot to us.

Thank you once again for your feedback, and we look forward to addressing and resolving the challenges you've highlighted.

  ### 16. Piece of Art for Translating

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcell C. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Code Editors are great, but the way Crowdin created the tool to easily translate strings and long text, plus built-in translator that helps, especially with previously translated projects, is just pure art. I love it!

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I would think, maybe the pricing could be a bit lower or offer the free version with better benefits. Beside of that, the only thing I could say is, maybe a new design? :P

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pretty much handy when it comes to track my progress and continue work where I left off, without any trouble. Plus its easy to work together, no need to git push, etc.

  ### 17. The best solution to manage all the product content

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It's so easy to make the suggestion to make any adjustments. Also so easy to accept or decline all of them. Use this tool everyday more than a few times per day.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Nothing to mention, everything is really cool. The only small thing - too many emails about the each change on the product.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have so many supported languages and use them in different product places. Can't imagne how could we manage it in other way.

  ### 18. Great translation platform, legendary support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrice L. | Ambassador, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Good UX, excellent support, great integration capabilities, and supports all kinds of translation workflows.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Because it's so powerful, it has a lot of settings that can be intimidating to administrate.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helped us to coordinate a community of translators on our open-source projects.

  ### 19. Easy and quick to use, but might leave some challenges for some usecases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Easy to create and manage projects, give context to translators, various views in the editor, rather quick and simple menus to go through, very quick support.
Although I wasn't involved in that process, we have been able to integrate Crowdin with Git to automate the exchange between source files and translation files and easily use the translations in our product.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

We miss an option to automatically fill all similar untranslated strings when we've added a translation (and now use pre-translation for that sometimes, which is not ideal).
I also miss an option to add new members to a project from a list of existing users and immediately determine their permissions, that would work easier than inviting them by typing their names.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps us to translate the texts/labels we show within the software tool we produce. Since we're delivering a cloud solution that receives frequent updates, we need a translation tool with which we can easily provide newly translatable strings to our translators, and also retrieve back those translations to quickly add them to our tool. It also helps us to gain more consistency throughout these labels.
We also use Crowdin to translate our product documentation. By combining these two tasks within one tool, we can share a glossary and can use the other project as reference.

  ### 20. Powerful language management tool for multilingual SaaS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

A great plus is the extensive selection of languages and the automated translation into a new language with just a few clicks. What I really like is the spell and format check to make sure new translations are correct. I work with the tool several times per week.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The integration with Bitbucket occasionally causes glitches, resulting in unintended translations being pushed for updates.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managemet of approx. 8 languages of our SaaS product.

  ### 21. One of the best web-based CAT tools but PMs will miss some fatures

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin places very well compared to some other web-based translation editors, and does have a great technical support team - answers are quick, to the point, and helpful. From an individual translator’s perspective it has good collaborative features – especially context info and commenting options are very well done even compared to the leading CATs on the market. It has an easy setup process, it’s user-friendly, has a good UI and does have the basic linguistic options such as concordance search and a built-in QA module.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

From a project manager's perpspective, quality process as well as workflow, task assignments and finance management need a more robust technology which Crowdin doesn’t provide. Crowdin TM and glossary management options are scarce; there is no batch features, segments can only be edited one by one and the search is also quite limited.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

great for continuous loc work

  ### 22. Good developer experience and fantastic customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The customer support offered is best in class. I've had numerous interactions with Crowdin's support over the last few years, and every interaction has been fantastic.

Crowdin's API is solid as well. We integrate with it both locally on the machines of our developers, as well as in our pipelines. And so far no complaints.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The user interface could be a bit more modern and user friendly. Also the navigation structure can take some time to get used to for new users. I've grown used to it over time, but I've onboarded many developers and they always need some pointers.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We localize our products in all our focus markets, and Crowdin is handling translation for all of this.

  ### 23. Exactly what you need for an early stage product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin was extremely easy to setup and made adding localization to our core products a very simple task. The wide range of integrations support make it very quick to embed in our work flows and apps

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Some of the integrations might not be maintained by Crowdin themselves, and support can be lacking. Recommend using only the simplest and most lean workflows and integrations

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling easy localisation for our products. As a pre-seed organisation, we need quick, easy and reliable solutions that we can easily plug together and Crowdin offers just that

  ### 24. Likeable UI and features, with some improvements wanted

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne L. | Sr. Technical Writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The ease of setting up a project, the UI, the find and search feature, comments feature, customer support is helpful. There is a lot to like about Crowdin.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

I know about the glossary feature, however, it would be a big winning feature to have the ability to program a glossary that automatically changes or keeps words the same. For e.g., if I have an EN source file to translate in FR and DE, I could identify all the EN words that should not be translated when using the machine translation feature so that "Go Home", when Home is a word I want in EN, translates automatically to "Rentrer à la Home" and "Nach Home gehen".
Some behaviors could be customized like not always selecting the first string after a refresh.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin solves the problem of back and forth files via email since it connects to GitHub. It also solves the problem of possibly making errors to a file. It provides an easy interface to use for proofreaders who can use features like search, find/replace, and comment on areas they have questions.

  ### 25. Crowdin makes setting up i18n in our team easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

It's so nice to be able to plug-and-play an automatic translation tool like Google/Amazon translate, and have it work just like that.

The CLI commands to translate programmatically are also very convenient

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

There are a lot of features in Crowdin that make it a little complex to initially navigate.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our clients want our app to be translated to their native languages, and Crowdin makes it very easy to streamline this (we pair it with the lingui npm package)

  ### 26. Translated 600k of products to multiple languages

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Nothing springs to mind. We really enjoy using Crowdin.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to provide our end users with the ability to translate the platform into other languages as we're a global company.

Crowdin solves the challenge of managing large-scale translation and localization projects. Its benefits include streamlined collaboration among diverse teams, efficient tracking of project progress, and the integration of automated translation tools. ### 30. Very powerful, but overloaded

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Single place to easily keep track of localization for multiple platforms, direct integration, translations go straight from product team to the apps.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Lack of advanced filtering featues, for example it's not possible to list all the strings with empty translations if this empty translation is approved.
No easy way to mark a translation for some language as "not needed"
Scary and overloaded interface for new people.
Lack of ability to just attach screenshot to a string, the process is not straightforward to say the least

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single source of truth for localizations, automation of exporting localization and using it in the apps

  ### 31. Good and useful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

User-friendly interface, good integration with workflows, lots of guides that helps with implementation, responsive customer support. I'm using it daily with my team and we really like it, design is intuitive and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Pricing could be lower, some advanced settings require some learning.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin helps me a lot with managing translations. It puts all my translation projects in one place, making it easy to handle many languages at once. It's great for working together with others because we can all see and work on the translations at the same time. It also connects well with other software I use, so I don't have to move files around manually. Plus, it has tools that make repetitive translation tasks faster and more accurate. Basically, Crowdin makes the whole process of translating stuff smoother and simpler.

  ### 32. Good Multi-Language solution

  ### 33. A complete and complex tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a comprehensive tool that offers a number of integrations. We were able to gradually test its use thanks to the support that proved to be responsive.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The support for certain file formats is only partial, we would have liked to be able to use more of them with the ability to modify the source files as well.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin allows non-tech users to translate an application without having to modify the translation files present in the code. This also makes it easy to use automatic translation tools.

**Official Response from Diana Voroniak:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that Crowdin has been gradually fitting into your workflow and that our support team has been responsive.

I noticed your mention about certain file formats lacking full support. Could you please provide more details on which specific formats you're referring to? We're constantly working on improving our platform, and understanding your needs better will help us prioritize our development efforts effectively.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,
Diana

  ### 34. Really simple to use and it saves so much time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukynka C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The simplicity and how you can just upload source files and translators can start translating right away is invaluable to us. It saves us a lot of time. Our translators also find crowdin way easier to understand and use than few other alternatives we tried!

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The API could use some work, its not very well document in my opinion, I had lot of trouble figuring out how to upload/download files when working on our internal tooling but other than that its reallly good!

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the issue of manging translations and translators. It also has API which we use daily to automate the process of uploading/downloading translations. The performance of our workflow increased a lot and mainly, as lead developer I dont have to manage the translators. With crowdin they know what they are doing with descriptions of the strings.

  ### 35. Great module with easy usage and management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

The ability to allow communities to provide translations for services, allowing for closer co-operation with users and more user feedback and input. This allows users to really have a role, an integral part of providing services for users. It also allows easy management of translations, and provides great and easy implementation as well as integration

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Crowdin often fails to save login sessions despite marking "stay logged in"

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin allows companies to save time for other integral parts of their services/products, by allowing the community to provide translations. This remains a very important part to me and many other companies.

  ### 36. A wonderful platform that supports good deeds not only by word.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wolf A. | Product Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Straightforward and understandable documentation. We were able to set up CrowdIn localization for our project in less than one day.

The fact that CrowdIn supports open-source projects is amazing. That's exactly the spirit every company should strive for.

As for customer support, the speed of their response is exceptional. It took less than 10 minutes in total to answer a number of our team questions.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Some of the tooltip messages appearing while using the system might be irrelevant.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a social project with around 60-70K words in it. CrowdIn allows us to localize the project to different languages. We mostly use it to coordinate our translators' efforts.

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Crowdin is a very good localization software for modern companies that look to incorporate machine translations and connect localization to the existing workflow. Plenty of integrations with tools like CMS, Helpdesks or even simple Google Sheets make Crowdin a go to choice. We have been a client for more than a year and we are very satisfied we made the switch.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

  ### 42. I have translated > 40,000 strings on 3 differents projects and and I will continue with pleasure.

  ### 43. The translation environment that could

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tzvi G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

What I found most helpful on CrowdIn was the easy setup of plugins and integrations.
As a longtime user of 'heavy' TEnTs such as MemoQ and Trados Studio, the readily available plugins and integrations on CrowdIn and the relatively easy setup truly enabled us to be agile with shorter turnaround.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

My main dislike, or better yet, what was not working perfectly, was the black box setup of specific plugins and integrations.
Admittedly, it 'feels' DevOps-oriented, which is great for our IT and startup customers but can be challenging to the less tech-savvy LSP localization engineer.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CrowdIn helped us with the ever-growing requests for agile localization projects with an ever-shrinking turnaround.
For example, the ability to set up an integration with WPML on WordPress in a matter of minutes and have content ready for localization on the same day is the much sought-after Holy Grail.
The ease with which customers' developers and product teams can push texts for translation in the morning and build the translated app by evening is the selling ticket.

  ### 44. I love it! My favourite CAT tool so far

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

Sometimes there is long sync time with azure.

  ### 46. Stable and fast to set up solution for managing localization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Baciu A. | Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

I have used crowdin both as a translator and as a project manager. Overall, both experiences have been pleasant.

The crowdin translate / term manager features are very useful for translating strings and keeping them consistent across the project.

I currently use it mostly as a translator / manager on a large open source project where I contribute weekly.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

To be honest, I cannot think of a solid downside, but I do feel like it might be hostile towards less technologically savvy people.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crowdin solves the headache that would be coordinating a team of translators and allows the general community to improve translations

  ### 47. Lots of options and user-friendly interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

No support for the lowest tier subscriptions, only a customer forum that cannot solve specific use cases and errors.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reliable machine translations of software labels, that are then easy to review by a real-life person with the help of a translation memory, suggestions, spell checker etc.

  ### 48. OpenProject Czech translations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrey N. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Everything just works. It works with a wide range of tools and programming languages, which is really helpful. They provide a free plan for open source projects, so we can invite how many collaboirators we want to translate our OSS project without that costing us a cent. The API/webhooks allow us to integrate with our workflow on GitHub and Discord.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

They offer consulting to help you to translate to another languages. It's kinda expensive, though, but nothing stops you from translating the content yourself (if you speak the language) or hire another consultants.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us the infrastructure we need so we can have collaborators translating our website to different languages. It integrates well with GitHub and Discord, and support a wide range of programming languages and tools.

  ### 50. Manage translations easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Crowdin?**

Our whole team can easily write translations and integrate them in our projects. When I was stuck with something, someone was there to quickly help me out and provide a solution.

**What do you dislike about Crowdin?**

The UI of the online tool can sometimes be a little much/confusing.

**What problems is Crowdin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool makes it easy for developers and translators/copywriters to work together on providing translations for a project.
